Things in a game you want to slap a dev. about and just say "No".

Borderlands; exceptional game in just about every aspect, just one things gets me, dollars? Were on another freakin' world called Pandora! Can't the currency be called Pandorans or Chaosics?
Really thats your biggest problem with that game. game was good and fun, but really the money called dollars? How about the fact the whole premise of the game is to find and get into the vault. You bust your ass, and then what, nothing to show for it.. LAME
Yes (That should speak wonders for the game itself).

Tell me, did ONCE when you were playing through all the missions (But without reminder) think "Hmm, I'm going to the Vault"

Hell, I thought that was a rather interesting plot twist, you've been busting your ass doing things, and the final part there is an evil thing wanting your blood; welcome to reality.

Did... did you just insult BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM!? It's a video game based on a famous franchise and it. is. godly.
So, what, I'm just supposed to forget every other Batman game in existence because that one was good? Yeah, that's not really how the industry works, sorry to say. Arkham Asylum is the exception, not the rule.

Would love to slap the lead of the design team at BioWare. Start being creative, and start pushing an envelope. You're supposed to be a leader, aren't you, since everyone says you make good games? So why have you made, like, 4 games that are the exact same as the last one? And why are you still not very good at storytelling/dialogue? Argh! I shouldn't know exactly what to expect from your games months before they even release. Just stop being so stagnant. :<

What about in Dragon age origins and Jade empire?
I was referring exclusively to ME2. The precedent of DAO and JE are a good part of why I'm disappointed. It's not like I'm asking for something they haven't done before.

Rockstar for GTA 4, I greatly prefer San Andreas it had some nice customization more interesting characters and was fun, I don't know if it's because of Saints Row 2 and Just Cause but GTA 4 is lame.
Also I personally prefer Daggerfall over Morrowind or Oblivion, sure It's a bugged mess but you can be pretty well anything and there is a climb skill.

Horrid attempt at multiplayer that felt clunky. *Slap.
Lack of Sander Cohen (Although the mention of him lowers it to an aggressive pat.) *Aggresive Pat!

I'd like to slap whomever came up with the shallow, scantily-clad female character and called them "edgy". Likewise, I'd like to slap whichever developer thought of a posturing machismo fanatic as "deep" instead of just as shallow as the aforementioned female archetype.

Also, EA games for charging for some of the content (i.e. furniture) regarding the Sims 3. I can't blame them for trying to make money, but I think I'll just stick to the Sims 2, thank you very much.

Lessee... Platinum Games. Bayonetta was (at least to me) a decent game. But the soundtrack freaking killed me. Annoying J-pop grindingmy ears while I kick alot of ass is NOT my idea of good ass-kicking music.
*double slap*
I'd like to point out that that sound you heard was NOT J-Pop, my friend. That, sir, is called Acid Jazz, and while I love the stuff, a lot of the Western stuff is actually MORE WHINY than the example in Bayonetta. In fact, the song you hear most prominently is a remix of Fly Me To the Moon by Old Blue Eyes (aka Frank Sinatra). THE MOAR YA KNOW!

To the OP:
~At Sakurai. No Giygas in Brawl! *Slap*
~At Japan. No Earthbound sequels in the US! *Slap*
~At Bethesda. Mudcrabs! *Slap*
~At Sonicteam. THE HELL ARE YOU DOING WITH MY CHILDHOOD!? *Slap*
~At Square. For driving ever further away from what made you good! *Slap*

...Save graphics. You guys STILL kickass in that department. :D

so i slapped him.....with my steel hammer!
Yeah I was fairly shocked how utterly boring he was.

I was hoping he'd be funny, sassy, SOMETHING.

I mean damn I'm EASY to please. Just give me a little :(.

Had Johnny Depp done the voice for him I think I might have forgiven them. I'm not sure why but he makes me wet.

...which probably should be looked into since I'm a guy. I might have broken something.

Dude. True story.

I played GTA IV and thought it was one of the most amazing games I had ever played.

Then I played Saints Row 2.

Then I played GTA IV again and stopped after about the 10th mission and went back to Saints Row 2.

I don't play either anymore but I did find it amazing how much I could not like a game after I played a better 'clone' of it.

All subjective I admit, but it was a powerful experience for me as far as games are concerned.

Now to all the people who have said "Stop blaming a dev. for making money" I CAN hate them for doing so, in that they are making it difficult for more good developers to stand forward, absorbing the money of morons so the morons have less to spend, ergo the saying "The biggest bastard wins"
just because you CAN, doesn't mean you should. by the way, treyarch started spiderman 2, the best spider man game ever. they made the best skate boarding games ever, the tony hawk series.

you ARE a troll, everything you said was unprovoked, thus a TROLL.

your logic also doesn't make sense. treyarch hardly has any market share, just because people buy their games doesn't mean its the end of other developers
So by voicing my opinion I'm a troll? then it seems you yourself are a troll.

Well I have never played Spiderman 2 and saying you made the best skating game is like saying "I'm the most handsome man...of people who's face has be melted".

You don't follow, my logic isn't at fault. I did not say its the end, I makes newer developers or game titles stand out less when people are paying for "Average of Duty".

Oh boy, here we go.

Peter Molyneux, like it or not, is one of the ONLY western developers with any recent level of innovation. Just because he's a little eccentric with his self promotion and gets easily too excited, doesn't make him in any way bad.

Yes, Fable 2 was a bit of a letdown, but only because of minor things, such as balancing issues and dodgy controls that were more the fault of his development team then him personally.
I think that "yhatzee" said it best, im going to type it WITH punctuation to the best of my memory.
"perhaps if they had worked some of the bugs out and keapt peter molyneux's trap shut during production then the game would have been much better recieved"
peter molyneux is an okay developer, but a bad person
You're either too young to remember Bullfrog or so naive and cynical that you believe over-hyping a game makes you a bad person.
Keep in mind, Peter Molyneux never sent Rickrolled Yahtzee just to promote his game. Is he really so bad?

And note that Yahtzee doesn't hate Peter Molyneux

Slap Team Ico for being so ridiculously secretive about everything.

"Oh, after five years of silence, here's some concept artwork. By the way, Last Guardian hits the shelves in four minutes."

Ergh, Im guna sound like a yatzee parrot here but.....Quicktime events.

90% of the time you dont see them coming and by the time you realise you were supposed to do something its too late. We dont get to many on PC format these days, but a classic off the top of my head is the mass effect renagade/paragon quicktime events.

I missed so many first time round. Even the second I missed a few, worse, I ended up doing some paragon when I was running a renagade toon and vice versa because I got so caught up in "oh shit quicktime event" I just hit the mouse button.

Sigh.

Online multiplayer, but no splitscreen *slap*
I have to agree with that. Especially when a game could be just awesome with Split screen. But noooo, I have to play with some possible idiot half way around the planet instead of someone like, for instance, my sister.

Looking at you Uncharted 2. RE5 was able to do it and still look pretty.

Online Warhawk was pretty cool, Split Screen Multiplayer.

They definitely missed out with Call of Juarez, that game was bad, but if they added Split Screen, it could have been good.
