I don't find this to be all that terrifying. Smile Dog was scarier, if you remember that huge thread about scary stories so long ago.
It really wasn't.
Smile Dog or Slender Man?

Anywho, I just changed my mind. I was just watching the video posted here, which wasn't at all scary. If you watch the actual "Entries" on MarbleHornet's profile, it's really quite creepy.

My friend, who is incredibly tall, was going to dress up as Slender Man for Halloween... I'm glad he didn't. And watching Marble Hornets now... at 12:21 AM... D: Nyeeeeeh..
lmao im actually kind of glad i didnt.

on that note:
I think marble hornets is a pretty cool guy. eh gets keeps a camera on and doesnt afraid of anything
i mean...wait...
There's an arg of this?
what i meant was that the series itself as well as the story is set in an alternate reality. thats how i classify an arg.
maybe im weird. :D
I'm not entirely convinced that this myth is fiction. Sure the pictures and youtube vids might be; but the whole moth man, tall man, slender man thing has lots of literature behind it.
Holy shit. what if the slender man is death??

Since when did Death abduct children?
Silly.

Mind you, there have been some unusual depictions of Death with multiple limbs in some woodcuts from some time in some country, damned if I recall, possibly Germany.

But the Myth is that he appears before great tragedy.

I've actually been real lazy. I wanna go see if I can find some stuff on the Moth Man stuff; or generally related stories from before that SA thread.

That's the Mothman, not Slender Man.
You'll no doubt find Mothman info predating the SA thread; I mean, they made a movie about it for Christ's sake.

Meh, the Shadow People myth has always been the creepiest myth to me.

Shadow People are the human figures you see in your peripheral vision that watch you, but always disappear when you look in their direction.

Sleep tight.

EDIT: I Can't find the Law Journal anymore. It was from or published by the University of Massachusetts; and it was about insanity pleas in supernatural cases.
Are you sure it wasn't Miskatonic University, MA?

Some of the photos in the foggy forest remind me of that other "paranormal images" thing I saw years ago about a man who finds an abandoned camera in a forest and develops the photos to find these strange pics with strange things in them like "bodies" in the trees and the foggy abandoned fire-watch tower.

I'll try find a link unless someone else knows what I'm talking about and has a more reliable link.

The place that doesn't exist but does? Probably.

Surely the slender man is simply an inspiration from the moth man and other myths.

These things are great and entertaining and scary, but there are people who think its real. That, for me, is a bit of a problem.

It's not nice to knowingly encourage people to believe something like this.

Do love the vids though. And I now follow the twitter too.
