I'd actually never heard of this whole Slender Man thing before you brought it up. I've been pretty openly skeptical of this stuff all over this site, showing how conspiracy theories and myths grow and how they use any dirty trick to keep alive, but doing research for this theory has uncovered a number of interesting images you might like:

The Toulouse riots a few years ago, look to the far right.

Hitler's cabinet address, the shadow behind him seems to morph into the spindly body of the Slender Man despite the fact that there's no apparent reason that it should do so.

Look at this early depiction of Christian hell, isn't that Slender Man rising out of the burning buildings on the top level?

It's an easy thing to see, I would say.

The first pic in the OP reminds me a lottle of how the Harry Potter films depicts Voldemort.

I thought this was gonan be a thread about fitness or something, but the "myth" part made me check it out. This is so much mroe interresting than what i had hoped for.

Always like myth stuff like this, fake or not.

I'll circle the stuff that looks like Slender Man:

Compare with the originals above to see if you see it unmarked.

I'm just sleepy enough for this to have messed with my head...
I'm gonna take my Ipod to bed with me... "Mudvayne, sing me a bed-time song..."

*edit*
Oop! Never mind! A particularly appropriate funny movie is on... That'll calm my nerves.
"I'm gonna far in you're mouth Ray!"

Even though I know Slenderman is fake, he/it still creeps me the hell out. After all the pictures and videos I've seen, and the stories I've read, of him/it, I wouldn't be able to sleep if I thought he was real.

Just seems like slithers of light to me, I'm afraid.

Odd how people can get worked up over such a thing.

This is all intensely interesting to me, despite the knowledge this is fake. I think there's a little something in my that makes me simply want to believe in this stuff. No chance in hell I'm sleeping for a while, but now I really want to read some HP Lovecraft. To the Necronomicon!

Bravo! Quite right too, I doctored the photos and put the stuff in there, I want to see if anyone believes it ;D

This Marble Hornets stuff is so obviously viral advertising for an upcoming film.

I had a feeling you were having a laugh there, mate.
The worrying thing is, I don't think everyone else did.

It's really quite scary how many people buy into viral advertising and ghost stories.

As freaky as it is, it's about as real as the legend of Gaxkang. Gah, this is one of the reasons I stopped watching supernatural, fear isn't fun. Well the game called fear is fun, but thats more surprise.

Also the fear I get from condemned is, but thats diffrent somehow.

I'm not so sure thats the reason behind it. People enjoy making these myths, maybe it was just fun?

And that's supposed to be scary, because...?
Now the Yeti ripping people's heads off would be somewhat scary, but that's not the case here apparently.
Edit: You know what, after actually watching some of them, this stuff is pretty cool.
Still not quite scary tho.

A well detailed myth is almost indistinguishable from a well detailed hidden truth. Especially when people want to feel part of something bigger.

Look at the Flying Spaghetti Monster, originally made to mock religion, it's now become a religious icon.

This looks pretty bullshitty. Half those pictures I couldn't even see the slender man in and I was LOOKING for him. Plus, he's blurry in all of them and there are lots of long, thin objects in the world. On top of that nothing is to say these aren't photoshopped. I don't believe in the supernatural, but still, this will probably be kicking around uneasily in the back of my insomniac mind tonight.
