Sniping is officially WORTHLESS in Black Ops

I support the dev's decision for one simple reason, snipers are large, heavy, hard to aim weapons. They are specifically designed for long range engagement and cannot be aimed without a telescopic scope that must be adjusted. The idea of quick scoping is not possible in the real world, and as of such I have no issue with them removing it.

Have you ever Fired a gun in life, I've shot an M1 Garand and believe me it is hard to aim, you need to remember wing trajectory, angle the winds blowing, Height and Size of the shell and/or target. trust me child not everything is like a game.

You can fire an AR then knife a second later in the game. In real life, you can only have one option, firing the AR or using your knife, you can't do both like in CoD. If you are in a hostile environment where you KNOW there are enemies, you are going to be moving around with both hands on the AR so you are ready to properly fire the weapon. You won't even consider knifing unless you lose you gun and then you'd be going for your pistol before you go for the knife anyways. CoD allows you to pull knives and nades out of your ass in an instant.

That would probably be a better game since good adventure games are better than good FPSs. I haven't bought a CoD game since CoD4 because I don't like buying the same game every year over and over again, I like new experiences. I'm currently playing the best shooter this year, which is Vanquish not CoD or Halo.

CoD is a game. A video game. Something not real. It does not exist. It is made up.
Now that we have that dealt with?
CoD tries to be "realistic", and when they say that, they mean "Not like Halo" or "it takes a 1-4 bullets to kill someone, not alot".
A game that threw in all the aspects of real guns wouldn't be fun at all (please refer to: Sniper: Ghost Warrior, or BFBC2)
If I wanted a game to be like real life in every regard, I would just go shoot a gun in real life.
Games are fun only because they are unrealistic to a point, and arguing about how realistic a game should be is stupid.

The rest of your points were fine, noob tubers are all 8 year olds, I am excited to try the game itself, and I think I'll play MW2 one last time before I make the transition.

That's exactly my point. I realize games are in no way realistic. Regenerating health is a pretty good indicator. What I am saying is I am sick of people whining about making a game more challenging. And people saying that they did it to make the game realistic are fools as well, as evidenced by my first points about how bullets actually behave. Treyarch didn't do it to make the game more realistic, they did it to stop people from being cheap. And quick scoping doesn't work for any of the guns, not just sniper rifles.

Yes, because in reality you can instantly make a precision shot with a millisecond of aiming. I think it's perfectly reasonable to get rid of a cheap play style and make their snipers realistic at once.

Good riddance. Do you know how many times I've been one-shotted by an M40+ACOG at point blank range today before I could get a second shot off with my MP5? Today alone, it's been somewhere between ten and fifteen. Oh, and let me preempt the "lrn2play": I average around 30-10 per game, regardless of play mode. Quick-scoping is bullshit, it breaks the balance of the game by giving a player the ability to score a one-hit-kill at any range without having to aim for the head.

We live in an age where winning is everything. I'm sorry, but how can you ***** about a good thing? Quickscoping was only for people that didn't have patience and thus, shouldn't be snipers. They merely quickscoped for the one shot kill while still running around, which is not what a sniper is supposed to do. Hell, snipers aren't even supposed to kill everybody, jut the high value targets. Hell yes this is a good thing, and you can go to that special place in hell reserved for people that ***** when their favorite glitch is removed from a video game.

Once again read my entire post you dumb fuck, you can pull a knife from a case on your chest faster than pulling up your gun to shoot or un-holster a pistol, and ditto, you can drop your hand holing the barrel to grab a knife and then swing, its not fucking rocket science. and that also goes for nades except you would throw them instead of stabbing people with them. you dont pull them out of your ass, you just keep saying the same thing with nades and knives about pulling them out of your ass and every time i've given a valid response, you've lost the argument child, just shut up about it and realise you are wrong.

And if i had someone knock an AR out of my hand in a small space and was trying to kill me, i'd grab a knife before trying to un-holster a pistol, lift it up, and then pulling the trigger.

One word answer to that, Serpa. It takes less time to remove a handgun from a serpa than it does to remove a knife from a sheath.

I'm fine with them making it harder to quickscope. I quick scope all the time in MW2, and my k/d is usually negative, but I'm still okay with it.
My problem, is that they are making it impossible for people to get kills while legitimately sniping when a guy runs across a hallway for 2-3 seconds. Now snipers will have to be constantly scoped in to be able to get the kill. What I'm saying is that now snipers have disadvantages at ALL DISTANCES.

I refuse to argue with this wheelchair bound Alaskan retard any longer, his logic is pathetic and has no real knowledge of the real world OR EVEN games, ive been playing games for 10 years of my life, i know about them and can actually acknowledge that not all games are prefect, everything has it's flaws. no one thing can be perfect and i will agree, mainly with the sudden insta-death on an FPS or the stray grenade that gets you from down the hall, nothing can be perfect, realise that kid, i have, but you dont need to troll everyone because you can't aim unless it involves quick-scope. learn to appreciate what you have.
