new DLC in either Black Ops or a whole new Call of Duty based around the attack of the Pakistani compound in which Osama was killed.

As for a source, I just saw a Presidential Address on my local news. As for a source...

Nice straw man argument, as they clearly suggested that. Terrorism can't be fought like a normal war, but that doesn't mean you do nothing. Starting wars against full countries when its only select individuals from multiple different places (which were places like Saudi Arabia and the UAE mostly, not Afghanistan or Iraq).

And searching for their leader clearly isn't the greatest use of resources as it took almost 10 years and is would be foolish to think this will end everything. Counter-terrorism has to be done a lot differently than when dealing with criminals within communities, or wars between countries.
That wasn't a crazy straw man, but you're right.

Terrorism's an idea. You can't kill that.

Meh. It won't change anything. Nothing at all.
That's not true. They're going to have to come up with another reason to invade countries now. Maybe tell us about some new leaked reports of countries with different ideologies having "nukular" weapons. I can't wait to see what the next excuse for large-scale murder is going to be.

Well... Amurica just single handedly killed terrorism. That's what's up.
That's a joke, right? Aside from the fact that terrorism doesn't just happen A) in America B) by Osama bin Laden and his cronies, it would still be ridiculously optimistic to assume that killing one man will stop thousands of crazy people with rage issues from engaging in violence against people they consider unworthy of living.
I'm so confused. You start off by arguing that America will need a new reason to "invade countries." This implies that their former reason (terrorism) is no longer valid. Then you go on to say that it would be foolish to assume terrorism is done.

Which is it?

Oh, and he was definitely joking. Seriously, it's not that hard to interpret facetiousness dude.

Hell yes he is! Been watching Fox with my mom for.a hour now. Literally 5 minutes before we got the news Geraldo said "what if its Bin Laden?" We doubted it. But its true!
You're watching FOX news? Do they have Osamas name misspelled on the bottom of the screen, or is this just a Chicago feed I'm seeing with the idiotic typo for the last 30 minutes?
It's on the website too.

Hehe, "Usama".

Anyways, this is a great accomplishment, though my friend did point out a very good aspect to all of this (skip to 0:35 for the part in question):

They'll likely find someone else to step up and take his position, but at least we've set them back a great deal.

As if he ever mattered.
Yup.

He's been a figure head for the past 5 years. He has had barely anything to do with the Taliban. He's just been running away
I'm sure glad we have someone here who knows about the inner-workings of the Taliban.

yep, just finished watching Obama's speech.

Can't really believe it, it's been so long it seemed like it would never happen. But lets not forget that just because one man is dead, the war is over. Just because he is dead does not mean everything suddenly stops.

Actually, he aut horized the attack on Osama
That sort of implies that Bush never authorized any attacks on Osama.

I mean, if Obama put much more effort into finding the guy than Bush, he deserves it. But it's really impossible to know.

My last two facebook updates:

Status 1:

Can't bring himself to feel happy that an old man who has been literally hiding underground for the last 10 years is dead, even if that old man is Osama Bin Laden. First and foremost, this is a revenge killing; justice would have involved a trial, and preferably, life in solitary. Second, we've just created the martyr to end all martyrs. Third, the terror threat level was raised today for a reason. This is a historic moment, but I can't call it a happy one.

Status 2:

Did he seriously just say that people who believe in peace and human dignity should be rejoicing? No cognitive dissonance there.

End of statuses

As you can see from the posts, I'm not particularly happy about this. Yeah, he's dead; so what? The only thing it's going to change is how angry Al Qaeda is with us, and they were mad enough already. We need to learn the difference between justice and revenge; getting your enemy's head on a pike is too close to Osama's style.

So it took about 17-18 years (the US started looking for Osama after the first attack on the World Trade Center in 1993) Really I don't care how long it took, he's dead, and I'm surprised.

The announcement is Obama's 1337-th Tweet :D
I see 1336 from your link.... but I don't see one addressing this.... OMG that is just a random thing that has no merit... r, uhm, I mean, it's just a tad crazy!?
OK I can't tell if you're serious or not... 1337 , like 'Leet' in gamerspeak! Just thought it was funny :)

In other news, Bin Laden was camping in the middle cave on Afghan with Cold Blooded Pro and UAV Jammer, and had put his location on his PSN account.
Oh no, I know exactly what you mean, my mind is a bit blow because of that link you gave. It says 1336 and the last tweet wasn't about Osama, so I would guess his next one will be about Osama, and it would be 1337. That's just.... I ... I can't even describe it.
It's awesome :) And I can confirm that it is the 1337th post, Twitter must be late updating on your computer!
First off, thanks for that heads up, 1337... wow.

But....

I heard Osama has been dead for a week, (from tonights newscast) and they are just now sure it's him, which is why the announce and all... I wonder if some PR guy was all like "WAIT! If we time this out, we can be leet, and the internets will like us more!"

Sure, that's a stretch and all, but I would be surprised if it were true.
Well Obama does play Portal, so you never know.

Maybe he's a member of Anon. And this is his little wink to them.

Of course I have, we just have to make sure we send some flashlights capable of being mounted on weapons with the first colonists.
