Well bout time, took them long enough but hells bells, they should have captured him, not killed him.

What now? Now America keeps fighting until all terrorist groups are destroyed. There will be someone ready to step up and take his place.

Unfortunate, he could have been so much more useful alive.
True but he probably would've done everything possible to make sure he wasn't captured, even if that meant he had to kill himself.

Source please.

Maybe.
It's all over every major news source.

This is a good sign, except one major thing.

It was done over Pakistan, which is what pretty much everyone knew he was there. Pakistan is a boiling pot right now, and taking this action over Pakistani lands without consent could be disastrous. Pakistan has been in turmoil for years, has nukes, almost prepared to start a war with India, and may not take lightly to this action taken.

It will be interesting to see what happens next between Pakistani relations and America.

Props to the CIA predators, and the military for finally getting Osama's head on a platter.
Obama said that the Pakistan counter terrorists helped out

A lot of people will use this as ammunition to pull out of the middle east. They won't get it, and it won't be because of Obama.

It won't end like that they probably already have a line of successors ready for this contingency.
It may not quite be like that, sure in the US and countries like it we have a long list of people ready to step in, but very many groups/countries have crumbled after having their leader killed.

I think the best way to look at this is "Cautiously optimistic."
I suppose their is nothing wrong with that. There will still be fighting of course however maybe without something to hold them together they will disorganize and be oicked off individually.

The family and friends of every victim of the 9/11 attacks, and of all soldiers killed in Iraq.

As an American, I'm pretty happy about this, but also slightly concerned. We need to raise security bit, since retaliation is very possible. Overall though, I don' think the danger of retaliation is super massive. It's kind of hard to plan an attack when your leader is dead.

The worst possible outcome for the U.S. A live detainee to be put on trial, even if it would have been a show trial, would have been better than a Matyr. Even a live fugitive was better than a dead Matyr.

Let me ask you this, did that rebellious Jewish cult stop and disband when their leader was nailed to the cross by Romans?
