Yahtzee hasn't reviewed it yet, but Xplay gave it only 2/5. That's why I was wondering.
I wouldn't trust X-Play at all if i were you.
Their reviews haven't been good for several years now.

As for Brink, most of my friends have said its a lot of fun and very unique, sure it has its faults, but it tries something new.

I called it. So I guess, Killzone 3 and Crysis 2 are still the best until Battlefield 3 and Uncharted 2. Oh and Gears 3

I don't mind it so far, aside from the fact that the "campaign" is just multiplayer with bots and occasional cutscenes aaaaaand I'm too stupid to figure out how to access multiplayer.
I think you just pick a level and then change the lobby permission to public or something. It says friends/invite when you play solo so I assume you do that

It's pretty hidden which is annoying

I am enjoying the game, yes it's different but I also find it fun. the only real problem I have with it is that the campaign is basically multiplayer with bots but it does a good job of getting you oriented with the game. I do like the challenge mode you have to complete to unlock weapons and weapon upgrades that works very well.

Overall I enjoyed the game but I won't blame you if you don't like it seeing as it takes some getting used to but once you get used to it, it is very fun. now PSN just has to come back online and I'll be set.

Yeah, Yahtzee will probably hate it, considering it's a very multiplayer orientated game and he never plays multiplayer.
From his Portal 2 review it's actually pretty clear that he will applaud a good multiplayer game if it deserve sit. More likely to get a negative review because that's what he does, that's his style. He wouldn't be funny if he gave positive reviews of stuff. Personally, I haven't played it yet, so I won't say anything about it.
Yahtzee's made it pretty clear that what he dislikes is online COMPETITIVE multiplayer. Co-op is fine with him, but he won't play competitive.

You pick free play and search a server online.

This thread title is so aggressive. O.O I was expecting like a massive rant or something.

I'm just waiting for it to unlock now. :3

I wouldn't go as far as a steamy pile of crap, but its certainly not the fanatically original and revolutionary game that they were hyping pre-launch.

From what I hear, it has literally no content at all.

Multiplayer with the same maps is fine, but there are so few maps that it really becomes noticeable.

I really enjoy it. Sadly, since I have it for PS3, I'm unable to do multiplayerright now, but the game is great fun in that frantic, "Holy shit! I have a minute left of the clock and the whole enemy team is between me and my objective!" kind of way.

Also vaguely like Nazi Zombies and/or L4D. It's great, wild, unorganized fun, and I highly recommend it. It also has a good story if you actually pay attention to it and listen to the audio logs you get every so often at the end of mission.

EDIT: Also, it will frustrate you. My friend played the first three missions for the Resistance on easy and he was dropping like no tomorrow. He was so frustrated, he just about threw his controller at the TV. I warned him that it was frustrating and that it took some getting used to before you started doing well. He took my warning seriously, which is why he started on easy. I started on normal.

Its just another non traditional shooter, its bound to be a darn site more interesting than COD 9000, but depending on your tastes BF3 would probably be the better choice.

(i personally love it, very team oriented, very sniper unfriendly, great customisation and movement, and level design)

Its a game to be played multiplayer no doubt, the bots are only good for healing you apparantly.
I don't find it sniper unfriendly at all. I'm playing on Hard and still manage to snipe the AI. Granted, since I haven't been online since the PSN is down, that might turn into a different story.

From a purely multiplayer standpoint it's pretty good, better if the added more maps or a mode similar to hardcore in COD or BF.
The single player however is short, insubstantial, and frustrating.

Well, I'll be blunt.

Single player sucks. Enemy AI is ridiculous and friendly AI is on the level of git. It's fun if you have at least 2 other people helping you but some of the maps are so one sided it's not even funny and the things you have to go through to get the weapon mods start to go beyond ridiculous as well.

Only worth it if you have friends, but it fails the rule of requiring a single player that can hold up the game.

The multilayer is almost unplayable for most people on XBOX right now due to lag, and the story is a lot less epic or interesting as it could've been but the gameplay is still very solid. I'll wait until they patch the multiplayer to give my opinion (if they ever do patch the multiplayer)

IMO getting mixed reviews is a good sign, because it means that the game isn't for everybody. It shouldn't have to please everyone.

I think it's great, on PC anyway. Only problem right now is we need to give it some time to let certain people, mainly those you think snipe camping is a good idea, to leave. Those are the people who play a medic, snipe in the back and never revive people.
