For my consoles yes, all that is available to me is a 30" tube tv, not even a flat screen one. with the new ways they design huds in most games now, I cannot see nor read text, nor figure out what is going on. The devs have abandoned the less well off.

For me, yes. I only have SD TV's because I'm poor. If I need a new TV, I start patrolling around the Back Alleys to look for free ones.

I have a 32" Vizio HDTV that I play my Xbox 360 on. I got it fairly recently, back in November. It does look really nice, and reading the tiny, blurry text on SD was becoming a major problem (I really don't understand how some of you guys can say it isn't a problem with the newer consoles, you must have super sight or something). I'm happy I finally upgraded. And it really was quite affordable - I only paid about $340 for it. You might just have to save up for awhile, but not too long, I'd imagine.

Vee Cee Arr?

Lol, a friend and I were joking that before long there will be people who don't understand why the verb "tape" is used synonymously with "record"

Dad bought 2 HD tvs! Too bad he put them both in his room >>
Well, that's just a dick move. What would he need both of them in one room for?

Hes an asshole who only cares about himself. He spent 5$ on my 18th birthday for a gift card to a restaurant I work at, saying he can't afford anything more, then a week later buys himself a 200$ radio.

If I had the money for a HDTV I'd buy a PS3 and enjoy it on my SDTV. I don't really like HD, I don't see the point in seeing the image in a slightly higher resolution. Also, 1080i isn't impressive at all,I mean, WOW, that's almost twice the resolution of my phone. Whoopdy doo.

Yes I do. I have an HDTV for most gaming. I use my big arsed SDTV usually for watching T.V while I'm on the computer (I have two monitors, an HDTV and SDTV in a small shoe box bedroom which barely fits me in it. Very tight squeeze but I managed it.) but ever now and again I'll buy an old xbox original game that won't work on the HDTV or the monitor so I use the SDTV instead. Before I got the HDTV I used the SDTV to play my PS3 on and used the second monitor for the 360.

It's actually pretty impressive the image difference. Specially when you move from an SD right on to an HD... it's like playing a whole different game. Your right though some of them aren't worth the price but well... They aren't that expensive these days. The one I have only cost £60, though I didn't pay for it and it was an hand-me-down from the father, still £60 isn't some thing to grumble over. My only gripe with the whole HD thing is the Blueray films which cost double to triple the price of the standard DVD and depending on the film, there's hardly a difference. I got The Matrix on Blueray and there was a difference, you could practically touch the pimples on their faces... To which I coined the phrase Pimple Vision for it. I got the Robocop Blueray film and it was worse than the SD-DVD, all it did was highlight all the background noise.

I don't even have enough money to afford a console from this generation. So no, I don't have an HDTV, and it's very, very low on my priority list. Seriously, there are more important things in life.

(Plus my PC monitor is awesome, so screw it.)

Most of the time I play on a HDTV or a HD monitor but I do use my SDTV sometimes because I still have my PS2 connected to one. I much prefer HD though.

I only like high resolutions on computer monitors. For one, they're much cheaper and have higher resolutions (for the most part). And second, the smallness of it makes it appear sharper.

I have both but I do use my SDTV a lot, specifically for all my older consoles. Only really use my HDTV for my 360 and for when I plug my laptop into it.

I play on an SDTV, and to be honest, I don't know anyone who even has one (though to be fair, I live in a rather poor rural area, so that shouldn't be surprising).
