Pikeys have proved time and time again that thay're a total fucking nuisance. They're not a race, they're merely people that crime their way through life, screwing over hard working individuals, scamming the system and outgunning the police (who won't give a shit what they do).

They nick anything metal that's lying around and break into factories using anything from bricks to stolen lorries as ram raiding tools. And when you don't buy their heather, you're cursed!

Fuck 'em. Do what the lads in the town I grew up in did after they started attacking people (one guy I know got stabbed in the neck). Get drunk, go to their camp en masse and start burning the fucking place down.

They lasted one night before taing what wasn't a blackened charred mess and ran off!

EDIT: August bank hoiday is appproching. The council offices will be closed for the long weekend. This is when they'll decide if theyre going to lay down permenant footings for their caravans, knowing full well that, even with no planning permission, no-one in authority will be around to stop them.

You two are both American, maybe you've got a different type of gypsy in mind. Obviously these aren't Romany Gypsies, they're basically just the British equivalent of rednecks.

OT: My step dad runs his own garage, but rents it inside a yard owned by people that run a transport thing for school kids and stuff. There's also another guy that rents a garage on the other side of the yard.

Now, the guy who runs the other garage sometimes gets gypsies coming over to him asking him to "borrow" stuff. One time they asked him to borrow something (a mechanical wire thing to put on the car to pull other cars out of ditches or something I think) and he lent it too them.

Naturally, they came back another time asking them to borrow it. This time he said no - not wanting to get into a thing where he just lends it to them all the time, as he has it in the first place because he needs to use it - and the gypsy left. A few hours later, 2 younger guys came along saying he'd seriously upset their Dad. To sum it up, they then strongly implied that unless he gave them what they wanted they'd burn his garage down.

Anyway, they're probably not allowed to be there so call the police and they should move them on. Don't fucking lend them anything though.

Ok, so let me get this straight. They're rednecks who move around alot? From the way you guys are acting they seem much worse. Most rednecks here at least tend to be harmless if you leave them alone. Actually, Romani refers to a specific ethnic group, whereas gypsy is generally used in a broader sense to mean most travelling people. In law, gypsies are "persons of nomadic habit of life, whatever their race or origin, but does not include members of an organised group of travelling showmen, or persons engaged in travelling circuses, travelling together as such."

Anyway, you do have to consider that they may not be all that bad. I'll admit I've met several gypsies in my life and liked precisely none of them, but it's unfair to tar all of them with the same brush. Still, if they do start being a nuisance, then set up some speakers and blast Barbie Girl at them, day and night. They'll probably be gone before long. Either that, or your speakers will.
