Thought Nazis are bad for numerous and obvious reasons, they did also send Gypsies to death camps. Just get some friends with blond hair and blue eyes, dress up as Nazis and parade around a bit. Either way, the correct term for the kind of prejudice we are seeing on this thread is "antiziganism".

I've read all the comments here. People have had a mixture of good and bad personal experiences. Many comments are either naive or outright prejudice and intolerant. However deserved, gypsies are getting some seriously negative stereotyping (hence why so many dislike being referred to as "gypsies" at all).

I don't have the benefit of personal experience. Whilst I recommend regarding them no different from anyone else, I think that it is worth pointing out that people should treat any stranger (whether traveller or settled) with a degree of caution. When 100 such strangers appear locally overnight, even more so.

Well ok, claymores... could be harder to get than a dog, still, basically just lock and triple lock everything and don't let them see anything worth more than they have and therefore worth stealing.

Well, judging from what I've read so far, I'd say what you should do is lock your doors, leave them alone, and if shit starts to hit the fan, call the police and get them removed. Or, find out if the land they're on is private property. If it is, call the cops.

I ain't presuming anything - I've seen them stealing things from the place I work, and I've had threats of violence from some of them, some more serious than others.

So, a bus driver steals from you, you presume they all do it?

I'm not saying I think all gypsies are innocent tree hugging loonies or something, but, I think it's a bit far-fetched to believe that every single one is a thief.

But if fifty bus drivers are hanging around out the back of your house and a heap of your stuff goes missing its reasonable to hold a grudge against that group of bus drivers and get nervous the next time unusual numbers of them are around.

They are human beings, talking about shooting them or running them over is childish and retarded. You fucking know who you are.

But yes, I know from first hand experience they can be anti social thieves. They will steal anything not nailed down, a friend's father's garage got broken into on the last day the gypsies were in town and all his power tools were nicked. They will move on, the council'l shift them after a time.

Lock down everything, perhaps invest in a few portable laser tripwire systems and alarms. Take pictures and inform the law, usually in this day and age with all the CCTV cameras around in the UK they can track camps, so they'll be less like to steal if they know there's a chance they'll get caught.

To reiterate.

Lock everything up, keep anything outside that's very valuable inside. Contact your local council/police. Invest in a few additional security methods, a google search may turn some stuff up (I remember a child's toy laser tripwire system around at some point.)

The counrty where i come from has the same problem with gypsie's keep stealing stuff and taking advantage of the counrty not being racist but people are sarting to become fed-up with them.
Remember that you should never try to fight them because more will all way's run over what you need to do is fire bottle rocket's at them or make you'r self a make shift flamethrower getting a gun is a good idea and most importantly make you'r home burglar proof and call the police might do.
