When I read the topic title I thought it was going to be about that atrocious 30 Seconds To Mars song during the credits.
Precisely. If you saved properly throughout the game you could have finished the sidequests before you finished the game.Solo-Wing said:Oh excuse me for wanting to finish the rest of the games quests and do more stuff with my character! Or Square-Enix. Or nearly all the RPGs I have played. it would seem only Bio-ware pulls this crap :/Blood Brain Barrier said:Precisely. Even then, you should know to always finish side quests before you finish the main quest. Unless it's a Bethesda game.
Because they take you back to the point BEFORE you fight the final battle. Letting you go back when ever you want.Windcaler said:Do you expect there to be after game content in every RPG you play? If not then I dont think you have a leg to stand on, most games end when the final bit of the main story line is done. Very few play out afterwards.
If you do then why arent we hearing screw obsidian for fallout, Sqaure enix for Final fantasy, etc?
I still think you have no one to blame but yourself. Common sense dictates that you save the game before going into important story parts or battles. This has been true for nearly 30 years, way back when Final fantasy was the "best rpg made" perhaps even before that. I have no idea why anyone would suddenly think the 2nd rule of RPGs doesnt apply anymoreSolo-Wing said:Because they take you back to the point BEFORE you fight the final battle. This game saved me in the post game where I cannot do anything without buying DLC.
Granted, I stopped playing the FF series after 10...but every FF I've ever played cuts to the credits and the title screen upon completion. Every RPG, for that matter (with the exception of Bethesda games and Mass Effect 2) is done once you've beaten the main story line. But to be fair, Bethesda games are sandbox-RPGs, and thus specifically built for piddling around after the end of the main story.Solo-Wing said:Or Square-Enix. Scheme? When the story ends, it ends. I see no scheme.Yureina said:Welcome to EA/Bioware games. Isn't it fun?
Aside from ME2, which I liked too much, i've never fell for this little scheme of theirs. But never again I say. They are dead to me now.![]()
If you're a console player, auto-saves are all that exist. Sadly.poiumty said:Why yes. Yes it is. Never rely only on auto-saves again. They're safety measures, not your personal checkpoints. Hopefully next time you'll learn your lesson.
What HAVE you been playing? Up until the playstation era (and even quite a bit beyond that in many cases), most games gave you 3 save slots, and in a surprising number of cases, would not even ask you which you wanted to use.Windcaler said:I still think you have no one to blame but yourself. Best if you don't anyway. I bought the fortress DLC pack and got the Shale one with the game and they aren't longer than 15 minutes. Been extremely sceptic to DLC ever since. Only game I've played with DLC I thought was worth it so far was Borderlands Secret Armory and Island of Dr. Ned.Solo-Wing said:I might have bought some DLC, but then they went and took everything that made the game good away in order to push their DLC.
