That's WAY too much. People think there's a difference between the quality of signals between Monster cable and normal cables, HDMI is digital it's very hard to get a crappy signal from it. Just make sure the cable is rated to what you want 720p+ and you're golden. I got my cable for like 12 and I hear it could have been less.
You know what you're talking about. Or appear to. Which of these should I get?

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=ps3+hdmi+cable&x=20&y=19&fsc=-1

Buy the cheapest longest cable you can find.. I think I paid no more than $20each all 3 of the HDMI cables and they work fine.

read the HDMI Cable section on this for more good infos

That's nothing. Paul owns 23 PS3's

OT:I have nothing to add to this thread as a 360 player.
No way are those proper PS3's, they must just be the cases (i.e. empty shell) because no way could he hold them up with his fingertips, those things are beasts.

Onyx, KillZone 2 is exceptional.

edit oh fuck, forgot to say, you can't chat to others on the PS3, only to other people in game, KillZone 2 has a clever feature in that a Squad of 4 has their own dedicated chat channel to coordinate attacks.

Had the PS3 and Xbox come out at the same time I probably would have got the PS3 for the Blu-ray player. But now that I've got one, I don't see the point in having the other.

No. No they are not.

It is a sketch from the Loading Ready Run team that can be found on this site. I would have thought you'd realise without confirmation it is not real when you saw he had 3 miniature PS3's for each proper PS3.
Its not a stretch of the imagination that he might have 22 friends that have loaned their PS3's for the video, and a further 3 friends with PS3 keyrings, also on loan.

Little Big Planet updates...taking...forever...

Well, it is a high profile games, so there is probably a lot to update.
You'll find the majority of PS3 games have insanely sized updates. I remember spending the first day I got my PS3 updating all my games. They seem to put DLC they're offering on the store into the updates, so when you buy them, you only have to download a small file, it also means the files are there so if you join a game online you'll be able to see their DLC items without any problems even if you don't own it.

There's a chatroom option which you can use which is a bit like MSN messenger which you can use for long conversations during games, text only however, so no voice chat as of yet.

As for games, I'd recommend Wipeout HD, and if you're a fan of Adventure games, you should take a look at Monkey Island as well as Sam & Max, as those are very enjoyable too.

I just bought the Gundemonium Collection from the PSN store. Its made up of three 2-D shooting games. One gripe I did have is that they are a bit expensive for the amount of time you get from playing them.

Other than those, everyone has put what I was going to put. Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, WipeOut etc. By the way if anyone wants to add me, my PSN name is GiantBowser.

1.
Just a messenger sorta thing. There's a one on one PM version and a group one.

2.
Ehh... dunno. I usually just raid the classics, to be honest. Good taste in FF8 and grandia though, man.

4.
Moonsaves

5.
Keep it ventilated and stood up and it should never yellow light.

"P.S.
I am NEVER getting MGS4."

From what you bougth:

Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction (Love it)
Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time (Love it)
Little Big Planet GOTY (meh, but my girlfriend loves it)
Valkyria Chronicles (Oh god, this is pure magic)

I would recommend other games but since you asked not to =)

1. Nope

2. Get Ratchet and Clank quest for booty, so you'll have the complete set

3. Is it an international credit card? is it authorized by Visa/Mastercard/American to do that?
4. Sure, I'll add you as soon as I get home, just in case my PSN is also in my escapist profile =)

5. Get a second controller, and a charging station, you'll be playing a lot

6. Not normal, check your connection settings.

4)My PSN name is noturaveragejoe so if you want we can be friends.

2)Wipeout HD is a definite yes. I'd also recommend Zombie Apocalypse for the party fun for multiplayer. Its mindless but quite fun.

5)Good choice with getting Valkyria Chronicles. It is awesome. But my advice is learn how to mute quickly since people can be very annoying.

Sony's updates always seem to take forever compared to XBL.

Joe Danger is awesome.

I will add you today. But I've been playing FF8 and not any multiplayer games at the moment. And I don't know that I have a blue tooth headset paired with my PS3 at the moment, but when I do get one there, I'd be happy to chat with you.

I've never opened a chat on PSN, but I think you can.

Also, if you get Trine tell me.

That's fine. I'm going to be playing Grandia, Wild Arms 1 + 2, FF8 + 9, and other single player games.

Oh, and I have Trine on PC already. AMAZING. Looks okay on my laptop, runs at medium-ish.

Trine on your PC? I will wait until you break down and get it on PSN.

If you ever need another LBP player, I'm there.
