Look, thinking about sex shouldn't have a limit. People should be allowed to think what they want, even as children. Sex is a natural part of life, animals do it, we're animals. Being high and mighty and saying that kids shouldn't talk or think about it is just going to make them unable to identify when someone is being suss with them and protect themselves.
Thinking about it is one thing, of course. Doing it is quite another. It shouldn't happen until the person is at the legal age for their nation (sorry to those who lost their virginity earlier if it was by choice, but breaking the law is a stupid risk to take), and pragmatically it is not a good idea to take the risk until you're 18, so that would be the minimum for my approval.
The fact that our cultures are changing to make the age of lost virginity ever lower does not make itself right. "Normality" doesn't make it right for teenagers or children to take risks with a) pregnancy and b) STIs just for one to sixty minutes of pleasure. Contraception and protection both help, but don't totally solve that issue - teenagers are more likely to screw up with those methods than adults.
It is considered adult because it is meant to be adult. The risks involved are too high for young people.

No, don't worry, you're not a freak. It is considered biologically ordinary for children to have sexual desires, and it's well-known that many people start "self-entertaining" early on in childhood.skyfire_freckles said:Am I some twisted freak here?
I honestly started thinking about men, being attracted to them, imagining what it would be like to have sex and masturbating when I was seven or eight years old.
