I lost mine this past summer at 18, but my personal belief is that 16 is an ok age to start having sex, 14 in my book is too young an age.

Age -3.

You have sex before you even exist. It's like dividing by zero without the consequences.

I mean, everyone remembers that stage of their life, right? ...

Right?

age 7 no joke
Yeah, there are always the mentally strange people that are just born horny...Quagmire.

But I plan on abstinence. Fifteen minutes of fun is not worth a lifetime of syphilis.
I'm going to laugh when your wife gives you syphilis.
I'm going to laugh when you realize you can't support a baby since your 14 years old.
Condom. Birth control. Learn about it.

Condoms have something like a 15% chance of failure, while birth control is something like 1% failure rate. If you use both, then you'd have to be an unlucky bastard to get someone pregnant/get pregnant yourself.

What age do you think teenagers honestly start thinking about having sex, and if they had the opportunity, what age would they start having sex
I was already thinking of sex at age 12 and would've definitely lost it then had I been given the opportunity (thank goodness I didn't). However, I believe that teens should avoid having sex until they are at least 14 years of age bare freaking minimum. I know someone who lost her virginity at age 11. I've said this to her often enough but I'll say it again: "That is waaaay too freaking early to fuck!"

Around 16 I would say they start getting serious thoughts about it. 16-19 I would consider to be the prime age that teens start wanting to have sex, which is completely normal, in my opinion. The thoughts, that is. I think sex itself should wait until your about 18, so your mature and are aware of what your getting in to. But Im starting t osound like a Health teacher in high school, aren't I? Well, theres my opinion, for what it's worth.
I concur.
Still, it bothers me when people around those ages are considered immature for not thinking about sex.

I'm 23 and I still have not had sex. You see I have not found the right girl yet and I'm still not sure I am mature enough to make the right decision, but until I do have sex I have other options.

Anyway, if you find the right person it really doesn't matter what age you are. But I'm concerned about people who have sex and forget about the possibility they might have a kid. That's a problem. Then there are those who lie to get some...telling their girlfriend (or boyfriend, don't want to be sexist) they will love them forever and then breaking up with them a week later.

i'm hearing about ppl losing it at 6-10 and find it kinda off. yall may hate me for this but it think you should wait. what's the point of having sex for bragging rights? it just sounds so retarded. there is a such thing a love isn't there? listen i can understand the urges but damn little kids having sex is just weird. at that age you can barely get a decent boner and you have just started puberty. i waited till i found the girl i love and then i waited to be sure she was the girl i was going to marry. when we made love for the first time their was no outside pressure from others or the media. it was just us and our own decision. i'm 20 and for us it hap...i'm giving too may details but damn just wait until u find the right person and if i had to say an age range i'd say 16 or 17 and up and don't let it be a random person u know there is no chance of u haviong a lasting relationship with.

They should start thinking about it at 13 but wait until they get their highschool ged before having sex so that if the girl gets knocked up and abandoned she can still support herself and her kid and won't be a burdon on her family by making her parents or grand parents raise her basterd or basterds for the most part.
look if the girl is pregnant at 13 or even 18 for that matter they should get it taken are of

having a baby that early ruins lives no matter what, supporting a child isnt going to be optimal for a couple that stays together at that age solo there litterly screwed

where i work is a warehouse factory to support myself while i go to university the irony is that 50% of the people that work there as were in the same situation as i am in and had the unfortunate/miraculous joy of having a child and then having to drop out of universtity to continue supporting there family as they couldnt manage the financials

some teenagers get pregnant and no matter what there told they just think of the cute and bubbly kid

Impossible, hormones start going crazy before then.

From my experience, kids start getting interested in sex around the age of 10-14, dependant on their specifics of course.
So yeah, 14 is a pretty realistic bet for the scenario you've written, although perhaps a bit too early to be comfortable with which is probably what bugs your study-mates.

Plenty of girls I know lost theirs around 12-15ish.

To be totally honest, I lost it at 14-ish and I was not sad to see it go - it was completely intentional. I was in theater, though, and tended to have reasonably mature friends and be all well-adjusted and that.

Fourteen is totally believable for someone to be actually engaged in seeking/wanting sex. The argument about whether it's appropriate/smart is something totally different. It puzzles me when people say "the youngest they should be thinking about it..." They think about it, and the hormones start hitting around 13-14. What people would like to think the age is doesn't make that _be_ the age.

Anyhow, the point is that humans are sexual beings, moreso than other animals, which leads me to wonder why most people are so stuck-up about it. After all, it's just a physical act performed for pleasure. Big deal. It's like eating ice cream.
I bet you've never gotten an STI from ice cream, though. On that note, ice cream never got a girl pregnant either. That's why people are so stuck up about it, because they know that hormone crazed guys with bad judgment will usually get a girl knocked up if she's easy and doesn't mind if he forgot protection.

What it boils down to is the stupid portion of the population ruining it for everyone, like they usually do. They can't be trusted to make smart decisions, so neither can the intelligent sector. It actually could boil down to survival instinct: we don't want the stupid ones reproducing, for the sake of the species, and since they're the ones fucking like rabbits we have to restrict those rights from everyone.

Realistically, people can and will start thinking about sex when their hormones hit. However, I think that abstinence is best until they can handle the consequences of kids or infections. So, realistically 18 is best because most people (okay, maybe "most" is too optimistic) will be mature enough to have their sex and be able to take care of any issue that may arise from it.
Well, I guess that's one way to look at it. Goddamn hillbillies.

I have always believed there is a strong sense that it isn't wanting to lose your virginity young, it's having. The tribe mentality thing that scares girls (lets face it only girls think twice about sex) into doing it. Not conforming to the hive retard means being ostracised.

On topic 16-17 I guess but only if they aren't fuck wits.
Every argument ever comes down to two or more "hive retard". Those who don't conform, in a way, conform, but simply to an alternative hive retard.

In my opinion, any age is okay. Why should I make rules for others? Or even care to think about it? If someone wants to fuck someone else, it's their own problem and whether they get into trouble for it or not is their own problem, too. I'd be, haha, oh the irony, "conforming to the hive retard" if I was trying to push my values on them. If you think you want to do something, just do it. Want to kill yourself? Fine, do it - it's your own life to take, and all others who might disagree and claim that you're selfish are only reflecting upon themselves.
How cleverly ironic, you turned my statement against me proving you think human free will isn't a up there with santa among the other things we made up to feel better about ourselves.

Let me pose a puzzler;

Guy A is drinking himself to death, Guy B takes the drunks booze away and forces him in to rehab etc., Was Guy B right for violating Guy A's choice to drink himself to death?

The reason for enforcing certain groups of rule, astonishingly, is that they try to REDUCE the downward spiral of humanity.
