Clothes are the health mechanic - the less health you have, the less your character is wearing.

But nothing really to be ashamed of if you like that kind of thing.

Truth be told, there's plenty of dumb VG outfits I like from a pure aesthetics/fanservice aspect, but I ain't gonna pretend their not dumb and people who don't like them don't have a point.
thats actually quite ingenious. i saw this attempted a few times but never really seem properly done mechanically.

capcha: null points

Oh, looks like capcha doesnt like this mechanic.

I have only played Shinovi Vs on Vita but that game has good gameplay, and suprisingly deep story and characters.

It is also the only game I have that I am ashamed to play in public.

But if the DS version is anything like it, the actual game is really good if you enjoy a good hack and slash game. Cleaning up the levels has a bit of a Dynasty Warrior feel to it. Lots of enemies that you basically juggle and combo to death. But there are PLENTY of boss battles of the girls fighting each other and those are 1:1, usually with some cannon fodder littering the battlefield too. And since each girl controls differently there is quite a bit of strategy that goes into those battles on higher difficulties.

Anywho, its not like its in your Steam Library and you have to pretend you didn't play it by playing it only in Offline Mode or something like that.
Cowards.

Let your friends tremble before your unfettered and unhidden perversion!
See I'd never actually heard of Hunipop in before Sunday, now it's popping up all over the place. Now I'm curious if my guild leader is playing the uncensored version or not....

Personally, if someone wants to play those games, go for it. Most of the time, I'm never even going to recognize the title anyway. No, what I find odd are the ones that are /almost/ porn, but bail at the last second. If you're going to make me play some silly game for my jubblies, there better actually be jubblies!

Nintendo isn't exactly known for this sort of game being on their systems. Sony? sure! Nintendo? Not so much.
You'd be surprised to see the stuff that never got localized though.
One prime example, Doki Doki Majo Shinpan series for the NDS, that's WAY before Monster Monpiece was announced. Also Love Plus to a certain degree.

OT: Fun Dynasty-esque games.

I probably would! Because, Japan, really. They're not as hung up on their media as the US.

I mean I didn't know they made Romance of the Three Kingdoms games over there until recently, and I wish they'd port them.

Playing through the game more, I'm still not quite ready to call it Dynasty Warriors Esque as it lacks the whole large battlefield base capture, be here for story bits sort of gameplay but I am pleasantly surprised it has 3d rooms instead of constant hallways, and streets. It feels like a huge change from Burst.

Jesus, this game is hard. Where is a goddamn block button when you need one?
Block and counter the regular enemies but be careful with bosses. If they break your guard they will combo you to death.

That's what I meant when I said the combat is good. It's not a masher per se. You can powerlevel at lower difficulties but there is definitely some strategy involved :)

Well, from what I can gather the game is full of giant, floppy, physics defying anime tits. So my guess is the shame comes from not wanting to be called out by SJWs, feminists that don't think men (Or Lesbians such as myself) are allowed any form of sexual fantasy because that immediately equals objectification regardless of what the actual person playing the game is like, or perhaps he's just someone who fears he'll be categorized as one of those weeaboos what have naked anime figurines with rubber bouncy breasts and dakimakuras of 14 year old girls lying around.

The truth is of course that if the original poster is someone with a healthy sexual viewpoint who just wants some escapism and is otherwise a fully respectable member of society, then there's no reason to be ashamed of buying a slightly porny game.
Uh.

What would you consider a "healthy sexual viewpoint?"

Shame? what is this 'shame' thing you speak of? *puts down the Nasu-verse of the week game* i mean...

no, what you feel 'bad' about is buying a game like Conception 2 BECAUSE it basically says 'softcore porn simulator and baby-pokemon tamer' on the back... because... harem games? softcore porn scenes every time you make 'star children'? and sending your just-born 'soul' spawn out to fight the hordes of darkness armed with nothing but the power of how Moe their mom was and the magnificent bredth of your... er... 'light'? o_O??

full female cast, bombshell boobs, and dynasty warriors-esque lack of... er... i can't quite say 'plot' for obvious reasons, so... 'reason'? to do anything besides... 'plot'? :D

pfft, its not like its Magna Carta with jailbait bazooka boobs, all-women-are-strippers-and-all-guys-but-one-are-transvestites!! :D

vidya games, be good for you~

*slinks back to the recesses of ATLUS moe-domination, harem hijinks, and whatever else is out there... Nasuverse-style-smex-magicks-yea!!*

... Oh did i forget Akiba's Trip?! anyone? the whole POINT of that game is stripping people!! that's a legitimate form of combat in the game? strip-simulator with strip-master-kung-fu ripping off old manga? Kama-hame-snatch-panties anyone? :D

again, what is this... 'shame' you speak of about this game full of so much PLOT!! XD

It's a fun game with a decent amount of fan service. Nothing more than you can find in non-H anime's these day anyway.

I tend to go for games like this and DOA and I even kick started HuniePop (steam sez 75 hrs in game!)

Since The Escapist doesn't cover games that are any more racy than these ones, I tend to visit (NSFW) http://www.lewdgamer.com/ for news about other titles.

I'm particularly looking forward to the Monster Musume game that was announced the other day.

Ashamed? For some boobs? Please...

Puritans are so funny. When will they ever learn that there is nothing inherently shameful or sexual about nudity? I bet they believe people run around nudist beaches with raging boners all the time. (Hint: not the case)

It makes me thankful though to not have grown up in the US. That stuff is so deeply ingrained in people that they probably don't ever realized that it's religious societal programming that makes them think of nudity as something sinful.

Hey Mr self righteous libertarian.

Who said anything about the US? I know I'm not in the US but I feel plenty ashamed to play Senran Kagura in public where I strip teenage girls that blush on panty shots. Where you are encouraged to rub their t&a. There is a panties lottery in the game.

If this was a grown up's sex game (which I am not aware exists so I don't have a good example) it would be a different story but even then I wouldn't play it in public just like I don't like people looking over my shoulder when I OT an enemy in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2+.

my 2c? your prejudice of Americans is 10x worse than the TS "puritanism".

First of all, the game is rated MA+ pretty much everywhere. So it's not appropriate to play in a public setting any more than whipping out a playboy or Zoo magazine is on the bus (although some people do that). It's mostly just a common courtesy to other people.

That being said, I don't think it's particularly self-righteous to point out that the US is one of many countries that has puritanical views on titillation. It's hardly prejudice to point out an observable fact.

I've been trying to find Corruption of Champions online lately. Apparently google search hasn't been working for me. Got any links?
I haven't played it in a long while, but I think you have to actually google fenoxo's blog and go to the "play" tab.

*ahem* that is to say, of course, that I've never played it, and heard all of this from inscrutable youths.

On the topic at hand, don't be ashamed of what you enjoy! I consider myself as liberal and progressive as they come, and care deeply about representation of women and other such minorities in video games, doesn't change the fact that Akiba's trip was one of the most enjoyable games I played this year.

As long as you're not demanding fanservice in everything, or you're not a creator trying to pretend there's some deep and meaningful reason for it, you got nothing to be ashamed of in my book

Yeah, I admit that I roll my eyes at games like that, mostly thanks to two reasons. One, those breasts are stupendously big. Like, what the hell that's idiotic.

And two, and most importantly, is that outside of those boobs some of those girls look dangerously underage. And that shit ain't cool, not at all. It seems to be an endemic thing in anime character design and it really grosses me out.

It was even worse with some rich kid at my local geek hangout. He wanted to show off his homemade Magic the Gathering playmats and one of them had a risque anime schoolgirl tableau with even more obviously borderline-underage character design. There were some uncomfortable chuckles at it, but me being the resident Dutch-guy-who-speaks-his-mind just came right out saying "Dude, those are teens, that's goddamn creepy, what the hell?" And my friends gave me this "Y'know this guy has a point" looks.

So yeah, that stuff gets a no-no from me. Titillation is fine but for heaven's sake stop the 'innocent teens' bullshit.
