If they are going with the Jason Todd being the Joker now
I don't know where that theory came from, but I can't imagine how anyone could think it's true.
The vandalised Robin costume.

Certain lines Batman has,
He talks about having enough experience with clowns in brightly coloured suits that sounds like he's talking about the Joker in the past tense, or more than one of them or maybe both.

He talks about "How many good people have we seen go bad?"

Also this Batman clearly doesn't care about human life the way Batman usually should. He kills a lot of people and is downright ruthless. Which would make sense if he already packed in his morals to kill the Joker.

It would kind of serve to explain why Jared Leto's Joker looks more like someone trying to emulate the Joker than the Joker himself with all the tattoos. And it's hard too tell because of the makeup bu this Joker doesn't look as aged and haggard as this continuity's Bruce Wayne. That being said that could just be down to the fact that Jared Leto is clearly a fucking Wood Elf because he's actually older than Affleck.

The story has been done before:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman_Beyond:_Return_of_the_Joker

Although it was Tim Drake, not Jason Todd, my bad.
My huge comic book nerd friend also thinks his teeth are important, because one of the more famous images of the whole thing was Joker smashing out the teeth of whichever Robin it was with a crowbar.

Since then, on learning more about the movie and what's going on with BvS and Suicide Squad, he's changed his opinion. He believes that the DC Movies would never have anything that interesting in them.

They wasted twenty minutes of my time with a funeral scene that we all knew was pointless! I hate that shit with a passion. Don't try and make me all sad with a death that is blatantly, obviously not going to stand! And that shit dragged its enormous ass too. Fuck me what pointlessness.
Damn straight. The only scene they spend any time establishing or hanging around in is the one we all know doesn't. Fucking. Matter.

It's funny because during that scene, this is exactly what was playing in my head.

I think we miss one Wonder Woman and one Batman movie.

I'm glad some people liked the film but holy crap I found it awful. It had some scenes I thought were fun and interesting but good lord did the problems ever pile up, and fast!

Firstly
What the hell was that Africa stuff? The villager character comes and talks about her village being decimated, but by who and when and how? All we see there is the compound getting wrecked. Secondly, all the bodies were shot full of bullets. How the hell does anyone look at a place where people got shot up and go, "Yeah, Superman, the invulnerable guy with heat vision shot these people." What? WHAT?! How!?

Secondly
The fuck is Luthor's motivation for killing supes anyway? Just for the fuck of it? He clearly knows Darkseid is coming, so it's not because he wants to protect the Earth. It's not like Supes has done anything to ruin any of his plans. And why does he pick an uncontrollable monster to fight him, presuming Doomsday beats Supes, who the fuck beats Doomsday? Nothing in Luthor's motivations or actions make any sense whatsoever!

Third
Why the hell does Supes want to stop Bats in the first place? Sure they play up the whole, "Bats is a dangerous vigilante" angle, but Supes has to be the least self aware fucktard ever if that's his motivation for confronting him, considering Supes is a dangerous vigilante himself!

Fourth
Why would ANYONE blame Supes for the explosion at the state house? The invulnerable guy who shoots lazer eyes at people needs a bomb and a conspiracy plot to murder people? How the hell does that make any sense at all? I get that people can be irrational, especially after a tragedy but it makes no sense whatsoever.

Fifth
I can see why Bats thinks Supes is a danger to humanity but he goes from, "I"m gonna kill this alien fuck," to "I'm your son's friend." in like, 3 minutes, all because Supes adopted mom has the same name as his own. Herp a dumb.

Sixth
They wasted twenty minutes of my time with a funeral scene that we all knew was pointless! I hate that shit with a passion. Don't try and make me all sad with a death that is blatantly, obviously not going to stand! And that shit dragged its enormous ass too. Fuck me what pointlessness.

Seventh
If Bats has no problem shooting people with guns, why the fuck is he ever throwing batarangs at anyone? If he knows branding people gets them killed and has no trouble doing the killing himself, the whole character becomes nonsensical. He's just Punisher at that point, Punisher who randomly decides to only shoot some people some of the time, because reasons lol.

Fuck me the movie is dumb.
QFT but also:

Wonder Woman:
What is it she tries to achieve by acquiring a digital copy of a photo? It is a copy... copy! By having access to a copy you not going to magically make the source or other copies disappear.

Batman:
Shooting People... Batman... Shooting... hu?

Dreams:
Advances nothing really. Just some action filler because someone noticed that they lack action for action movie. waste of time

I thought the movie was... okayish. Marvel does it better.

Clearly this needs to happen so we can have an original joker cameo with mark hamill

But again, they would never do anything that interesting
I'm half surprised that they haven't announced that there will be a cameo from a CG Heath Ledger. Laugh if you want, but you know it's not out of the realm of possibility for the House of Bad Ideas.

I argue that Zack is not really the problem but David Goyer who screenwrote this and the Editor (David Brenner) doing his job badly.

And honestly I really did not think Superman "kills" in this movies. Other then Doomsday he "kills" only one "Terrorist" leader which they don't even show the act being done at all. I did not see the guys dead body with Superman standing above him.

Batman was the one doing most of the killing here. He even admits it himself "we're criminals Alfred"[/quote]

I can get on board with that. As I said, I feel that half the story was left on the cutting room floor. That deleted scenet that they just released with Luthor in the pool just before he gets arrested tells more about his characters motivations in 40 seconds then they managed to accomplish in 150 minutes. I Still think that Zach Snyder makes terrible movies though. I will admit that 300 was a great flick, but the rest of his stuff is mostly pure schlock.

This movie didn't show Superman "killing" very many people, but perhaps my allusion was towards Man of Steel where he brazenly destroys downtown Metropolis/Smallville. That was more of Snyder trying to emulate Michael Bay with his explosions and fight scenes in a blatent attempt to confuse special effects with storytelling.

Yeah, Batman piles up the K/D ratio here, but I see where they were going with his character. It is a lot easier to not kill someone in a comic book/cartoon then it is in a movie. Going for the darker version is all well and good, but perhaps it is just a sign of things to come where it is always darkest before the dawn?

As I said, I have hopes for this series to improve and become true competition to Marvel. I just don't think Snyder is the right man for the job, and I am on board with you in saying that Goyer and Brenner aren't either.

I'm still not sure what to think of it. It was 'okay', I'd say. It was a bit slow and a bit of a snooze-fest but it ended very well and I loved Wonder Woman. Can't wait for her movie! (And I have plans to cosplay her!)
I think my problem is that I'm not a Superman fan. I don't think I've ever seen a Superman film and I only know the basics of his story, whereas I absolutely LOVE Batman and know his character inside and out so I could have a proper opinion on it. I think if I loved Superman as much I would have probably enjoyed it more.

I did enjoy Affleck as Batman. They managed to make him useful next to the superhumans he was fighting beside.

Edit: Didn't like batman using guns and killing people, by looks of it. Bad Batman!!

Just watched it and I have too many thoughts to write until after I have watched the spoiler discussions, but one thing I will say - I play MMOs and I can't believe no one spoiled that ending. It even has a much bigger impact on it's universe than The Force Awakens did and people went out of their way to spoil that for as many people as they possibly could.

Overall I liked it in a sort of garbage truck on fire, what the actual fuck did I just watch kinda way.
