Nope, T&A never really did it for me; especially not T&A that's objectified and exploited the same way it's done in strip clubs. To paraphrase C.S. Lewis (that fella what did Narnia):
"Sexuality is hardly a thing to be ashamed of, but the state of it today is disgraceful. Imagine if you will, a society where every Friday night, all the men go out to a resturaunt where the chef very slowly unveils a leg of ham on a platter, and just before it's fully revealed, all the lights go out. You, the casual observer, would think that our hypothetical society is quite mad, to have such an obsession with meat; but can you really say we aren't doing the exact same thing?"
So no, strip clubs were never my cuppa; and besides, I've always been more of a V&H man.

What? That means voice and hair. What did you think it meant?

Jesus, I love this website, but I never thought there would be such raging feminism from someone who is clearly about 13, I know girls who work in these places, they love their job, it's called empowerment. Look it up then try again deary.

It's definitely the OPs fault that they work at a strip joint. If he hadn't gone there they would have magically ended up as doctors and lawyers instead. Either A) they LIKE working at a strip club, which believe it or not some people(not all obviously) do, or B) They REALLY need the money and can't get it any other way in which case boycotting strip clubs so they don't get any money isn't exactly a super special awesome solution.

Sorry i guess we know how to have fun.
So is your form of fun the one true meaning of fun? No one else can have fun unless you okay in your own personal way? Are you better then all of us? No. No sir. She's not wrong anymore then you are wrong. I can't say going to a strip club is bad. I just don't find it to be a place I wanted to know as providing business to. Now you may do as you please and spend your money as you want and I'm not going to let that pass without calling you on it

Strip clubs are cool. I don't go there for the "nude" factor. I have a girlfriend and we get physical, and even if I didn't have one, hey, there's always internet porn :p I have a friend who does strip dancing, and I think it's an art, the girl spends time practicing and going to the gym, and she loves it. And no, contrary to what most women say, it's not bad. They're narrow minded...

I believe it?s disgusting how you can pass judgement on not only me but the woman. I was talking to a girl, it was her 2nd shift and she was cool as hell! she said she was glad that we met I must have talk to her for about an hour, and I never even paid her anything she was definitely having fun I even gave her a dance...didn?t get paid though :(!

Well excuse me for not thinking its ok to support the idea of woman getting naked for money. I will no longer be posting in this thread.

Stripping is just a job, like any other job out there. We don't live in some sort of gritty, Hollywood, crime movie, so chances are nobody is actually forcing any of these strippers to this. They are dancing all on their own free will, well aware of what they are doing, and if they didn't like it, they could quit.

You act like they're being forced into it. If you've never been a stripper or to a strip club I don't think you can really comment.
And the whole objectifying women thing is getting a little old. I'd hate to have to say this but if women didn't want to be somewhat objectified they would all dress and look in a way that made others not want to.

Damn right! If i were to have done something to upset a stripper the bouncers would have kicked my ass. Got a big intimating warning as we walked in :S

My friends convinced me to go to one, and it was stupid. I'm never making that mistake again.
After going to clubs overseas, and even ones in Texas strip clubs elsewhere just have no appeal. If you ever find your self in San Antonio you need to make the rounds of the strip clubs out by the airport.

Nearly every stripper I ever knew enjoyed her job immensely. Sure there might be the odd girl that finds it less then ideal, but it's not like anyone is forced into the job at gunpoint. It's a choice, and they choose to keep working so obviously these issues you bring up are not quite as important to the people actually performing on stage. This whole idea that the women only work as strippers because of daddy issue, and feeling worthless is the ridiculous myth here. If anything that is what is disgusting, that you can base your entire opinion on some stereotype and judge both the patrons and the performers as worthless for that.

I've been once. It was a fun experience, and one I'd recommend anyone to try at least once before getting on a high horse about it. I'd probably go again in a year or two. Honestly, the amount of dickishness I've seen in this thread is unbearable. Watching Coyote Ugly 20 times does not give you the right to label any stripper as a miserable, hopeless piece of meat who does what they have to because of money, and at least in my neck of the woods, the strip clubs are all quite upmarket and the girls there are paid well and enjoy what they do, so I wish people would drop this borderline sexist attitude of 'ohh, those poor women, they should be doing something WHOLESOME, like sit at a computer where they can't hurt anyone'.

I cannot comment on the sort of strip clubs you see in Robert Rodriguez films however, because they simply don't exist around here.

Nah, I don't want to go to a strip club. If women want to dance around to arouse men for money, fine and dandy with me, I just won't see them do it.

I'm not ever going to a strip club. I would feel as uncomfortable as hell and I don't really see a reason for me to go. I don't really look at women that way, and I would just feel awkward to watch them take their clothes off.
