I have been a PC gamer and only a PC gamer since I was a small child playing Indiana Jones and the fate of atlantis, but iv finally been persuaded to buy a console by this offer:

Microsoft have been screwing us PC gamers good over the last few years. We got Halos 1&2 but not 3, Fable but not Fable 2 and Gears of war but not it's sequel. So I'm finally taking the plunge and getting a 360. In addition to the included games I am going to buy Halo 3, Brutal Legend and Halo wars. As the 360 has been out for a few years I thought I would ask those of you who have owned one for a while if there are any other great games I should look into. Bear in mind that if it's also out for the PC I probably already have it, and if I dont id rather get it for the PC anyway. I don't like sports or driving games so dont bother mentioning those. Thanks in advance.

Assassin's Creed 2 is a good game to look into. I doubt you would want it for the PC since its DRM scheme is just completely stupid.

Rent Brutal Legend, its good, but not fantastic.

Also buy Fallout 3 if you haven't bought it before on PC.

Im not abandoning the PC, its still my platform of choice and probably always will be, but the number of console exclusive titles out has reached critical mass for me, so im getting one. Got fallout 3 for the PC, i'll have to think about assassins creed II. Love the original but I really dont want to hand any more cash to ubisoft. What they have done to their PC games is inexcusable.

You should get Bayonetta and Mass Effect 1 and 2. Awesome games.
If you like online play, Modern Warfare 2 and L4D2.
A few classics that everyone should own and are very cheap now are Crackdown and Dead Rising.

ermm good games...... orange box is an obvious candidate. fallout 3............ and i really enjoy Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 as a non sell out shooter. but appart from that there are better games on the pc. i was going to say farcry 2 but if your even remotely connect to the FPS genre you would have had to atleast tried it by now, considering it on every console.

Don't buy Halo 3 if you get Halo ODST then you basically have everything that Halo 3 has to offer.

Look into Call of Duty series
Get Crackdown and preorder Crackdown 2
Atleast try the Orange Box if you haven't already which is unlikely
Try out Fallout 3

I honestly can't think of too many 360 exclusives so just try everything or go get a PS3 instead. Either way.

I am open minded. My major block with consoles has really been the controllers. After 20 years on mouse and keys im a little set in my ways. I do quite like the 360 controller tho. btw, bayonetta looks interesting. I like so called "spectacle fighter" games but they rarely come to the PC. I wouldnt be interested in a PS3 tbh, they are more expensive and I really hate the controller. Some of the exclusives look nice tho. Heavy Rain, God Of war series, Uncharted 1&2, etc.

Yeah you kind of get screwed over. But at least PC is the only one that can do an RTS worth its weight.

The exclusives are the entire reason why it's totally worth it. But if you're determined to get a 360 then go ahead man.
