remember GOW 1&2, 3, Heavy Rain, Lost Planet 2, Brink is coming too, Red Dead Redemption also...The Madman said:I would have recommended a PS3 rather than the Xbox simply because there's less crossover between the PC and the PS3 as far as games go if you're planning on jumping into the console realm. Gears of War both 1 and 2 I played through in long marathon sessions at a friends place (Extremely fun co-op, but not the sort of game I'd play on my own.) and I've never been a huge fan of the Halo series. Fable 2 I'm kinda bummed about not playing, but I'll live. And Brutal Legend is on the PS3.
That's pretty much it as far as true 360 exclusives go. Most I can play on my computer, and the rest I don't much care for anyway.

You shouldn't have this problem, well I'm off to buy a newer model...

Crackdown is absolutely god-damn fantastic. It's similar to GTA, only you play as a genetically engineered super cop. There pretty much isn't a story, the main focus is just messing around and having fun. Thowing cars at people, throwing people at cars, throwing cars on top of buildings and then driving them off etc. Also, it does support 2 player co-op, although it's only online or system link. It's dirt cheap now, and definitely worth it. Plus, you'll get an invitation to the Halo 3 multiplayer beta included!angjn said:not a fan of zombie games so dead rising is out, whats Crackdown? also anything with strong co-op would be ace. my wife and I love playing games together.
Absolutely spot on, it's as shallow as they get. But seriously, don't let that stop you. It's one of the most genuinely fun games I've ever played. I wasn't prepared for how enjoyable it would be to just spend hours jumping from rooftop to rooftop, collecting orbs and pausing occasionally to throw some bad guys off buildings.angjn said:Thanks for the responses peeps. just watched the IGN review for Crackdown, seems a bit shallow, am I wrong?
Yep, the co-op for Halo 1&2 works on 360. The online for halo 2 won't work as of April 15th ( I think) since their shutting Xbox Live for original Xbox down, but the local co-op should still work.angjn said:Does the co-op from halos 1&2 work on the Xbox 360? Gears 2 didnt come to the PC so microsoft could force everyone who loved the original on the PC to buy their cursed console. A tactic that seems to have worked.
Oh yes it is. In my oh-so-humble opinion [sub]that is way better than yours [/sub] Brutal Legend was one of the most interesting, fun, and unique games I have ever played.spartan773 said:uh... actually... just RENT Brutal Legend. it's not that good of a "keep" game...angjn said:I have been a PC gamer and only a PC gamer since I was a small child playing Indiana Jones and the fate of atlantis, but iv finally been persuaded to buy a console by this offer:

Microsoft have been screwing us PC gamers good over the last few years. We got Halos 1&2 but not 3, Fable but not Fable 2 and Gears of war but not it's sequel. So I'm finally taking the plunge and getting a 360. In addition to the included games I am going to buy Halo 3, Brutal Legend and Halo wars. As the 360 has been out for a few years I thought I would ask those of you who have owned one for a while if there are any other great games I should look into. Bear in mind that if it's also out for the PC I probably already have it, and if I dont id rather get it for the PC anyway. I don't like sports or driving games so dont bother mentioning those. Thanks in advance.

Anyway, buying Xbox? Good for youI personally am quite happy with my monolith computer
Aaaah. PC gamer for life
