People are being paid to entertain, whats the problem with that, no one is being forced to watch these, it's the same thing as entertainers, well being paid to entertaining under any other medium, why does that bother anyone? No one cares that Hollywood actors makes millions per movie.

allot of these estimates are supposed to be far off though. Yes it's sad, but these are the newest scapegoats for the "kill Youtubers who make money' thing. They get payed to work their asses off, don't we all. they get all the views which is unfortunate because most of them arent worth the time, but it will pass. Fred isn't in that list anymore is he? few years back, no matter what you did, that kid made more money than you.

Almost ALL YouTube partners will do anything for money. For e.g., Shane Dawson has "split" his subscribers by making 3 channels. Not only will he make money off his main channel, but he has also tricked his subscribers into watching the videos on the other channels thereby tripling his profit. He also employs the "false thumbnail" and names his videos in a provocative way as to lure YouTubers into clicking them.

The above tactics apply to almost every other YouTube "star" and now, with the removal of the tabs from the "Browse" section and basically making it impossible to see other channels apart from the "Star" ones whenever you join the aforementioned site, YouTube has maximized their profits. YouTube is no longer a place where you can share ideas anymore. It's a business and by the looks of it it will remain as such for quite a long time.

Giving the content of these so called "stars" is horrible and the comments section is filled with trash I'm going to have to assume the majority of viewers of such content are people under the age of 13. I honestly CANNOT understand how ANYONE could find what these people are doing entertaining. Oh well, props to them for making fuckloads of cash. It's not the one who tricks the masses that deserves punishment, it's the ones that let themselves be tricked.

I actually really like the Philip DeFranco show. He's a cool guy, deserves the cash.

You would totally take that money if you could just make videos for YouTube as your job, but really that's not the point. That income isn't even really that high, anyway.

I really don't see the problem here. A lot of people watch their videos, YouTube wants to pay them to make them so the site stays popular. Sounds reasonable to me.

Some people are very passionate about what they do, and editing videos and stuff is pretty hard work. Saying they are getting paid for nothing IS nothing but an immense over-exaggeration.

Phillip DeFranco is funny but I don't think he deserves nearly that much money, he should be making MAYBE 20K from what he does (I say that since he does have his own site and everything so it's not like he's just milking youtube). The Young Turks I almost respect since they do cover news and could be the way news is given eventually (well, live news is important, but they do a good job at what they do imo). Still, with them and my respect for them, they don't deserve over 6 figures for it...

On that list I think that the young turks are probably the only ones that do anything to deserve what they are getting, or perhaps deserve more than they are, considering they are one of the very few legitimate sources of news about the yanks that we can get outside of the states, and apparently they are THE only legitimate source of news that America gets on account of FOX controlling the minds of the majority of the nation

So yeah... TYT army is too strong!
