Honestly, never seen any of those either, I'm mostly going on with the movies of his I have seen. But those movies, after seeing previews or bits and pieces or what have you, hold no interest in my mind. Especially after all the other "garbage" I've seen him release. I just don't like hit directing/writing. It mostly bores me because he takes so long to do things. Like the whole "bear jew" thing in Basterds, did it really need to take 5 minutes for him to come out of that tunnel? Then it gets to the point finally and it wasn't even that good. I expected more. I think that's my downfall though, I expect too much of him. Who knows? I've come to terms with the fact that my friend Justin (Con Carne on these forums) and I are of a very select few that just don't find Tarantino flicks worth watching.
Ok so what Tarintino movie have you seen because barring Death Proof (his worst movie) that is his whole filmography. Your saying that you don't like his directing or writting but then you gloss over the three movies that made him famous for his directing and writting. I don't really think it's fair to say that he has done nothing worth watching EVER if you've never even seen his best 3 movies.
I guess I shoulda clarified better that I really haven't seen all his movies so my opinions are very limited. I have a *really* bad habit of not being more specific in my arguments, or even misinformed. Kill Bills, Death Proof (yes I know you said aside from that one,) From Dusk Till Dawn (at least I think that was his...) and I've tried watching Pulp Fiction, think I've successfully watched maybe...1/3 of it, who knows. As far as anything else, I haven't seen it and none of it interests me in seeing the previews, even before anything he's done lately. I am honestly willing to give some of his "best" movies a shot, but I don't have my hopes up at all. To me Inglorious Basterds was just an inglorious waste of my time. I see a lot of movies in a year. I see most for free being that I used to work at the local theater and I'm friends with the manager. That was one movie I paid for...to my friend and I we debated asking for our money back. As I said, this is a weak argument to begin with on my part, and my friend and myself are 2 of a very small few it seems, that don't see the appeal in Tarantino flicks anymore...kinda wish he'd jump in on this convo and help me out, he's much better at this kinda thing, lol. Oh well
O ok i got you. From dusk till dawn was by Robert rodrigues he just starred in it. But ya you should't really come so strong on an opinion like that without you know actually watching his movies.

yeah, I really gotta get better about being a little more specific and not generalizing so much (hurray for laziness...?) I do apologize about that to everyone involved in this debate, lol. I'm pretty crappy about quoting properly...

Hurt Locker was an excellent movie (MUCH better than Avatar) but Basterds definitely should have won (though I knew it wouldn't).

I was happy that Sandra won best actress and I'm laughing over The Dude winning best actor.
