The worst thing that happens in my college is people pissing on the toilet seats... there was that one time one of the toilets was splat painted a shit/brown colour , but that was more funny then gross.

I will know now not to complain about little things.

Worst thing that happened last school year were two sexual assaults near the campus grounds. Apart from that, just the normal damage done by drunks.

University of Ottawa, Canada. First year student living in residence got super stressed out during the first month or so of school and jumped out of the residence building (it's like 15 stories tall) and died a year or two ago. Also, one of our chemistry professors died from the swine flu I think 2 years ago.

Someone set one of the school toilets on fire at one of the high schools (or rather the Swedish equivalent of) I went to. I remember everyone gathered outside the student cafeteria which I thought was strange but I walked in anyway - the library (more importantly the computers) was in the same building - to be faced with a bunch of firemen. Oops.

That's the worst thing I can remember anyway.

There was a bomb scare at my high school this one time. Luckily it turned out to be a false alarm, just some crazy calling on the phone and making empty threats.

In case anyone's interested, the shooting wasn't really related to the university. It was a robbery, the suspect worked for the same goddamn armoured van company that the victims did. He shot his buddies in the goddamn back and ran off with the cash, but got stopped when trying to hop the goddamn border into the states.

Clearly the guy wasn't a very good planner, though.
