He shot himself with a shotgun...

Seriously the lack of respect on this thread is incredible - you don't seem to realize what a massive impact Nirvana had on the music industry - whether you like them or not they were influential.
the odd part about this whole thing is that if Andy Wood hadn't died of an overdose just before the release of Mother Love Bone's first and now only album. tho the death of that band did give rise to Pearl Jam

and yes i don't really believe the kids in this thread, most have no clue that most of their music today wouldn't be around if it weren't for Nirvana

The thing about Kurt that suprises me is: He never liked the idea of "fans". He never loved the idea of being a celebrity. He just wanted to do music for himself.

Kinda weird though...Why get in the music business?

Anyway R.I.P. You kids should be ashamed to wish his death.
Obviously, drugs.

His back hurt. Heroin made him happy.

Logical?

ITT: Trolling kids born in the 90s.

Still remember hearing he'd died, shocking to see someone cut down in their prime like that. Happy I got to see them at Reading, fond memory.

the only one i really give a lot of credit to is the Tom Grant ones, simply because he was a former detective for the LA county Sheriff's dept.

his point about the letter does make a lot of sense cause if you look at it, the last line or so looks different from the rest. the too much heroin is a bit sketchy, tho Kurt was in rehab, he was a druggie and able to use more heroin than normal ppl, much like alcoholics and drinking "too much" booze and being able to do things

IMO, Nirvana is one of the best bands ever. I was born in 1990, I would hear their stuff on the radio and I liked it, I couldn't understand what they were saying, but I liked them nonetheless. Kurt was an excellent song writer, and a lot of his songs are better than anything that's coming out today. I think he deserves some respect.

He didnt die of the overdose, the shotgun blast that took half of his head off did that. I believe the conspiracy that Kurt was murdered either by his wife, or someone she hired; the evidence id clear; there was no finger print on the shotgun's trigger, and he had over 3x the lethal dose of heroin in him, so he wouldn't have been able to even pick up a gun. However, due to the tolerance to the drug he built up over years of addiction, it's arguable whether that dose would have killed him or not.
As for his music, Bleach was an awesome album, they sold out with Nevermind, and In utero is OK.

I heard that he was actually shot in the chest and i'm pretty sure he was killed by his wife for the money. From reading his journal i don't think that he would've killed himself

I didn't say the heroin killed him, I was simplying stating a reason he would get into the music business. Drugs are cheap to stars.
