The fact that they are protesting in the streets shows that they are not intelligent enough to speak on for the whole country.

So basically, now there protesting at U.S. embassy in freaking AUSTRALIA...

So... I ask, what the hell is up with Australia hating us 'Mericans now?
It's CNN, the very definition of liberal media. Next time I suggest not believing anything they say. Check a more credible site like huffington post, BBC, Fox news, or daily mail.
Wait...Wait... Wait, wait. Did you just say CREDIBLE and FOX NEWS in the same sentence, and it wasn't sarcastic? I am going to leave this thread before anything shitty happens. In fact, I am logging off the internet now...

This is why people think so many of you are arrogant on top of the rest, when someone dislikes something America or an Amerian does, silly people presume that means they hate America, which then just adds to the misconception that Americans don't get it. No-one hates you, they don't give one flying shit about you. Fortunately most of you see that, so we only have to deal with this concentrated stupid infrequently.

This is one group-Muslims, in a country, Australia, which is predominantly SECULAR, and is far more Agnostic/Atheist or Protestant Christian than Muslim. So you've just assumed a minority religious group represents the majority of a geopolitical group. Good work.

Moreover, protesting an action is not the same as hating you. I can dislike an American action without hating America. I can dislike an Australian one without hating America. What you're doing is conflating the issues with the participants, and logic like that leads to fallacious logic along the lines of "Playing the race card".

If I dislike America's foreign policy "Uh, why do you hate 'merica!"
If I dislike America's political concerns "Uh, why do you hate 'merica!"

I LIKE America. It's the home of pretty much every one of my favourite bands, it's got an interesting history, including being one of the first officially secular nations. Just disagreeing on one point is not hating it.

I'm an Australian, and I hadn't even heard of this protest until now, but it's about that movie thing, right?

That's one American, acting like a jackass, to people he knows will react with violence, and then those people treating all Americans as culpable. IT'S THE SAME BAD LOGIC-CONFLATING INDIVIDUALS AND ACTIONS WITH GROUPS.

So what if I sound a little bit racist... But, seriously, they come out to live in Australia (predominantly catholic/aboriginal populace) then force their beliefs on the local community, then expect to have the same rights as everyone else....
About 25% of the Australian populace is Catholic, less than 1% follows an Aboriginal religion.

And yes, you do sound rather racist.

Lets be clear. Not a single Australian was involved in this deplorable riot. It was the cancerous rot that has worked it's way into our country like a virus. They in no way represent the views of Australians and I'm sure most would agree with me that all involved should be shipped off the one of the third world middle eastern shit holes they seem to like so much.

Now you know what it feels like to be an American on the Internet
Not the same situation at all. The things americans get stick for are generally the beliefs of a large number of your people (as in close to or more than 50%) or the actions of your elected officials. You know, the people who were voted for by a majority of their constituents.
This is a few hundred people in a country of 22 million.

Indeed, truly every single person in Australia was involved in that protest but couldn't stand to America's raw strength and might!
Why if you squint in one of the pictures you can even see our very own Yahtzee Croshaw fighting the oppression due to the commands of the Australian Hive mind!

Just like to point out that in Sydney, the muslim community who cause all the trouble (it's like 10-15% of the greater community) are treated with the same level of respect as green ants, and considering our police carry .40S&W Glocks with 14 rounds, they're lucky they weren't shot.

Australia, in general, tends to not give a shit. We have an atheist female leader and we only hate her because she keeps implementing bullshit taxes we shouldn't need.

The problem is you get labeled as 'racist' for saying things like that, yet ask any fucking cop working in sydney and they will tell you the same thing: 90% of their problems stem from 1% of the fucking population.

If it wasn't for the bikies the only people causing trouble in this country would be the lebs/muslims who haven't lived here for more than 1 generation. Yes, that's a racist view, but go down to fucking sydney on a saturday night and when you get a group of 5-6 teenage leb cunts causing shit only to go down the road and have ANOTHER group of them starting MORE shit, feel free to try and not be racist then. It's absolutely bullshit, it's at the point where you can't walk through sydney at night anymore unless you're in a decent sized group or don't look white.

I don't like being racist, but living near sydney it's bloody hard not to be.

To all the Muslims that rioted over this pathetic video (yeah, like they're members of the Escapist), read this satirical article [http://www.theonion.com/articles/no-one-murdered-because-of-this-image,29553/]. If you understand the joke, you'll understand why civilised society hates you.

Let's not forget the Cronulla beach riots. "Aussie pride" bogans cause their share of trouble as well. Not that they were fully to blame (like you said, there's a lot of shit caused by Muslim immigrants), and the retaliation attacks from the "lebs and wogs" were far more violent, but drunken riots attacking "lebs/wogs" in general isn't the way to do things.

Wow, did that article imply that Sydney was the capital of Australia?
Like...
I get it probably didn't mean it, but that caption is poorly worded.

In other news, generalizations about a whole country's populace are made over the actions of a few.

Wait, that's not news. That happens all the freaking time everywhere. Somebody get me a new article!

I think you might find his point is you can't force your beliefs and rights down other people's throats while belittling other beliefs on one hand, then expect them to respect your beliefs on the other.

Also, there's a consular building for the US in Sydney: http://sydney.usconsulate.gov/

Fox News? Daily Mail? You have got to be kidding me....
Yeah, he won my award for funniest post of the day.

CNN: One of the most reputable and trusted news sources is "Liberal Media".

Whilst HuffPo, the actual extreme Liberal one is "Credible", despite also posting anti-medicine and anti-vaccine nonsense.

And of course, Fox News, the propaganda kings, known for their almost-racism, and always-stupid commentary.

And of course, the Daily Mail, Britain's least reputable tabloid, known for publishing whatever nonsense might increase their readership.

Can I add one to the list? The Onion-I hear it's pretty accurate...

Yeah. He was doing okay until he said "then expect to have the same rights as everyone else".

That is a racist opinion.

You do realise that the right frequently bashes the BBC for being too liberal and "infested by leftists", to quote one daily newspaper?

Personally I think they're fairly neutral in their presentation but then, I lean to the left, so if they were biased I doubt I'd pick up on it since the bias would be in my favour.

Oh, and one other thing - regarding that silly idea of a "liberal media" a lot of people like to spout off about, have a read of this; http://letterstoconservativeparents.wordpress.com/2012/02/24/sorry-dad-the-media-isnt-liberal-and-fox-news-isnt-reliable/
