Seeing as I just re-downloaded steam, I'm not going to eliminate it by buying a PS3

I ordered one 3 days ago with Resistance 2 and Batman: Arkham Asylum. 4 More days...4 more days, I can hardly wait. Those 2 games will keep me busy for a while, together with a buttload of demo's.
I've pre-ordered one ready for the launch on Tuesday. The only reason I can afford one is 'cause I've traded my Wii in for £100 store credit, then other games and such have added to it. £250 is still a little steep, but it looks pretty nifty, and the extra HD space is always a bonus.
In a couple more years when there is another price drop?
From my personal perspective it is a console that costs £120 (about $200) more than the Xbox 360 but has less exclusives that interest me and a blu-ray player that has no use to me.
If I get a HD-TV and in a few years they have more exclusives I'd like then I may consider one then.

No, I will not be buying one. Why would I want a second PS3? This one isn't even backwards compatible like mine, so it would actually be a step down if I got it.
The new price drop and design will see me getting a PS3 sooner then I thought. I'm not entirely sure, but it will be within the next year or so. I'm heading back to study, so I won't have much time for console gaming so I might just buy it, not plug it in and build a collection so I can play it during holidays and such.
When there's a bundle with Uncharted 2, Killzone and it comes down to Xbox Elite price... and even then i might just get a PS2...its cheaper and I miss Tekken Tag and Final Fantasy XII
NEVER fear me im an xbox 360 fanboy or a nintendo wii fanboy or a pc fanboy really I dont need one other wise id be tempted but the price seems to much for something that will just compete with the 360 i already and besides I've already got many games fer te 360 tbh if i could have one for free and from scratch like if i had no games for either it would be the ps3
I already have one that's backwards compatible, so why would I want to buy a new one that isn't BC and doesn't have any other extra features?
I can see myself getting it sometime next year instead of a normal Blu-ray player. Makes more sense.

They play virtually the same games...I'd be paying an extra few £100 pounds to play a few games that may or may not appeal to me. I don't see the benefit. If I had a HD TV then maybe, but I don't, so there wouldn't be a noticeable difference between the consoles graphically anyway...
