I am playing Ico. and boy I wish there was autosave on some parts. a lot of mistakes can really take a chunk of your time.

But when it's smooth sailing, the experience is very pleasant.

Had this preordered as soon as possible, and picked it up last Wednesday. Both games feel so fresh with smoother framerates and retexturing.

Icing on the cake for me though was simply flipping the cover of the case inside out; I'm very grateful for that, Team ICO/publishers/marketing team.

My only grain of gripe is that the options confirmation sound (you know, that loud *DUUUMMMMMM!*) from the PS2 version has been quieted (though, seems just like before on my turtle beach HS).

A great 2-weeks late birthday gift for myself. :p

That's awesome. It's gives me a little more faith in the general gamer.

I couldn't, as the local Best Buy ran out of copies. The nearest GameStop was flooded, so that's out of commission for a few months, and there's no fucking way I'm going to WalMart to get it.

You may have to try buying it online then.

It's the only way.

I can just wait for the next shipment at Best Buy. I am teh patient. They'll probably order more of them now, given that it flew off the shelves there.

But...but, time spent waiting is time spent not having the game!

You're a more patient man than I.

I forgot about it for a couple of days there but I was really looking forward to it, then I saw it in Gamestop the other day. I'm definetly gonna pick it up when I get enough money, which should be in a week or so. Never played either of them before and I'm really looking forward to playing them, especially in HD. Can anyone tell me, are the visuals improved much? I haven't played any of the HD re-releases yet so I dunno what to expect but I know the games themselves will be amazing.

Yeah, I picked up my preorder today after college.

I don't even own a PS3, so I'll be using my brother's. Haven't put it in yet.
How are the dynamic themes?
The vouchers aren't valid yet.

According to some guy behind it on Twitter, they're not available until the 10th of October.

Seems odd that they wouldn't be ready...

Edit: So did I, cardboard case, postcards and everything. I bought it on release day.
Thanks for that tip, now time to fish my voucher out from the bin...

Ah, who really cares how much they sell in the end?

Games like this aren't made to sell, they're made to last.

It matters in that the more this type of game sell, the more likely Publishers will fund the development of more of them :)

I don't really worry about that.

Games like this do get made, only now they're on XBLA and PSN like the upcoming game Journey. And maybe that's a good thing, because big triple A studios these days are way too constricted by their enormous budgets and harsh time schedules to make trully inovative games.

Only Team Ico for reason has carte blanche.

...But for how long.

Had my copy pre-ordered. Played both games on their original release and loved them. Completed ICO (my favourite of the two) and it looked simply stunning. Now I just have to keep waiting for The Last Guardian.

I'm still skeptical about Journey, honestly. I give it points for style and for trying something different, but the gameplay looks pretty bland to me.
