I would be lieing if I said I didnt "fancy" fictional characters but i dont have any of those body pillows, those kinda creep me out.
I'm pretty sure that only 1 of my friends know that I like fictional characters, but thats because hes almost an otaku god
If my family found out that i liked fictional characters, they would think it was a psycological disorder, to them its bad enough i read manga

I do have a few fictional crushes, but my family doesn't know nor do most of my friends, except for one. Who knows about my crush on this awesome and gorgeous character.

Also I do have two more, that my friend is aware of.

She is just adorable.

In this order.

Yes, somewhat, not really.

SHE IS NOT FICTIONAL, SHE IS REAL!

SHE IS.

...

SEE?

Where does the border between peadophilia and fandom lay?
What you talkin about willis?
First great posts of the New Year.

I don't know. I've never fallen in love with a fictional character. I don't think I have found any fictional character so appealing that I would ever consider being remotely romantically interested in them.

Definetely (Although its usually just in anime and long RPG's, which allow for more character development etc)

I have SOME friends that know, though these are only the friends I'm certain share similar attatchments. Other friends would just think I'm strange.
My family does not, they'd think I'm weird, as I come from a fairly blue collar, "IRL ONLY" types.

Yes there are plenty of fictional characters I find attractive, but it's not like I'm going to go off and fap to them.I find them attractive in a similar way to an attractive movie star. I like them, but I know nothing's ever going to happen.

Most of my friends and family know (I think), but we never really talk about it. I mean The only time I've ever really gotten into a character was Tali'Zorah from mass effect and while one of my friends occasionally harasses me about it no one ever says much.

Yes in fact I do like fictional characters and I also have a friend that LOVES Mio from K-ON. As for my family I think they know somewhat but don't really care.

except for my mother, I know that she just wants to tell me to grow up and other things among those lines.

If "growing up" means I can't enjoy my games, shows, and collectibles then why would I want to grow up.

I would much rather be happy with what I like and not sad and depressed like by giving it up.

I guess I fall in the 3DPD boat to some degree, though the only way friends and family could ever prove that about me is protected with a 42 character password.

I highly doubt my family or my friends know that I 'dig' Golden Saints (Oblivion), Tifa, Samus, Cortana and Integra from Hellsing amongst others. If they did, I'd most likely be fleeing the country with an army of therapists on my tail. Also real girls are better, although I wouldn't object to a girl dressed as Tifa.
Integra? Sir, I admire your balls but that's suicidal.
How so?

Trying to ask out Ser Integra Wingates Hellsing? She's obsessed with killing vampires and brooks no distractions to her mission, at best she'd see you as a time waster, at worst you'd be a spy.
Ah. I see. Ah well.

I may at one point have discussed with a friend how attractive we found Jesse from Pokemon.

Though that was mainly because I wanted to sleep with said friend.

Nah, it didn't work out. One of my friend's housemates kicked her out, because he wanted to sleep and uni was SRS BZNS.

I get kind of obsessive about certain characters in TV shows. For example when I first watch something I semi-consciously decide who will get with who and if they don't I feel betrayed xD

But nothing so bad that I've come home to family and friends telling me I have a problem.
