Where does it make this deafening noise? Where I teleport to or where I come from? Or both?
Ah screw it, it don't change my answer.
I'd use my power whenever I was committing crimes. Because I am able to teleport wherever I please whenever I please and this power is infinitely more useful (and fun) if you use it for evil. Robbing banks, smuggling goods, jacking vehicles, sticking up people, you could be a one man pro team with the ability to teleport.
Of course stuff like robbing banks, stores and people is easier with an ability like time manipulation while teleportation is more suited towards smuggling/ trafficking but it's still do-able.
And when I've made my millions by teleporting into bank vaults and smuggling insane quantities of illegal cargo in ridiculously short times I'll just pack up all my money and teleport myself somewhere nice.
Doubt I'd retire early though. When you can teleport directly into bank vaults and instantly out of a crime scene it's less about making enough money to retire early and more about getting the highest score.
Wouldn't the sound give you away, though? :p

I mean, after the first robbery, people would know about the guy who appears with a sonic boom and starts ransacking the place, right? Wouldn't that result in heightened security?

Would that even matter?
Well the sound might be muffled by being inside the vault, not that it matters much, anyone comes into the vault you can just wave a gun in their face and tell them to hit the dirt or teleport out if they look like they'll cause trouble.
Security isn't much of a factor either really. If I'm going directly into the vault all I'll need is a duffel bag and a pistol (in case anybody investigates) and to protect my identity I just need gloves and a ski mask.
Fingerprints and DNA evidence aren't a concern because I don't care if they know it's the same guy robbing banks, so long as they don't know it's me and the ski mask removes facial ID.
Even if we put vaults out of the question I still remove the exit strategy from the equation which makes a bank job insanely easier.
Teleport outside the bank with my mask on and weapon ready (something bigger, like a shotgun for the fear factor), waltz into the bank and tell them it's a robbery and everyone needs to get the fudge down. When the tellers push the alarm and everything goes into lockdown, I teleport behind the barriers and find out where the money is. Then I use my hostages to negotiate with the police to keep them outside longer. When I've got all I want, I teleport out and the job is done.
I've given this topic waaaaaay too much thought so I've got a few strategies on how to be a master criminal with teleportation powers :p

I would use it for the most petty reasons. Like I would teleport to the bus stop instead of walking there.
The shear Irony of this comment just made me laugh so hard.

Also, I would most likely use it for petty and self.... Oh I see everyone else also would do that? I don't really see how else you would use it... Sure you could save people from burning buildings, deliver food to starving countries, destroy Amazon.com by offering your services without charging 15 extra bucks for the box or deliver transplant organs cross country... Lots of stuff to do, so little will to do anything but pissing people off...

Guess that's what I would do... Yeah.

See, that's the thing, I'd make sure that I'll get more than enough money the first day that I'd start robbing banks. There is no reason to not hit several of them right after one another before the story has a chance to come out in the first place. And besides, if the banks in Dubai start to up their security, I'll just go rob a few in Germany or England. And that's not taking into account that the people inside the vault would be deafened by the sonic boom that echoes through the closed-off metal chamber they're in, or that sound of that magnitude would also project a not-insignificant amount of force.

As for what I'd do after my initial spree, I'd use it like the guys from Jumper and travel with it.

Depends, is the noise so audible that the resulting airwaves can disrupt other physical objects to the extent that they wind up thrown across the room? or is it just a plain loud noise? and is the noise only when appearing at a spot and not when vanishing?

"(you won't clip into objects or harm anyone else)." would imply that the sound wouldn't deathen them, but would it also deathen me...I think I'll use it for something creative, possibly as a delivery person with a series of sound proofed rooms, or to help out with becoming a magician of some sort to...hide the masquerade so to speak...

Would the sound be audible to people i grab onto?

Could probably weaponize it for theatrics.....struggle in a straitjacket, teleporting minute distances 'inside it' and freeing up my arms, whilst teleporting out of a watertank with a surplus amount of water, jumping out from inside the curtain making it look like i phased through the glass, im assuming the sound emates from me, but isn't strong enough to get through water, presumably teleporting moves any surrounding water/air around you, correct?, naturally an assistant would be aware, but to play noises to cover up any escaped sounds.

I'd probably invest in a bunch of parachutes and teleport high above where I need to be.
