So, you wakeup one morning and you're a household cat. you retain all of your conciousness and self-awarness.

So, after the initial token freak out, what do you do?

As a bonus, what sort of cat do you think you would be?

For me? I'd go and stand in the doorway.

What cats always do. Sleep and be adorably cute without trying.

Find the nearest cat-lover and get my ears scratched or beg for food. I might also jump off a high building or just start climbing everywhere. Siriously, cats are freakishly agile, though I'd probably be a pretty clumsy one. Still, cuteness will save me from scorn.

Find someone at rest and sort of just position my arse right in their face.
Bonus points for farting.

Also lie down on the stairs and violently maul anyone who tries to walk over me.

I will be indistinguishable.

Not sure which breed of cat I would be... I've only ever had two or so cats so i'm not familiar with their breeds

I'd totally start climbing things. Oh, and find someone I really dislike and stretch and claw up their favorite coat or shirt.

Edit: And now that I think about it, I'd probably go over to my neighbor's house and toss a dead bird into his window...

If I'd just woken up and I found out I was a cat I'd probably be going:

"Where the box with the good smelly stuff? There it is! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh."

*buries evidence of piddle*

"Now to act like I don't give a fuck about anything."

I'm pretty sure I would be miserable and the freak-out period would last far, far longer then is implied by the OP. As I would constantly find new things I am unable to do that would start the whole thing over again.

It would probably end with me trying to off myself by jumping from a building only to squeeze the memory out of my tiny cat brain halfway down that cats are far more often only injured by long falls then die.
