An hour or so after Garrus pulled up to the Promenade, Katie woke with a soft groan and opened her eyes, raising one hand to clear the sleep from them. She found that she had been sleeping on top of Leland - she had done it so often now, it was becoming regular - his bare torso providing an excellent heat source as her own body was pressed against it. Katie sighed and closed her eyes again, comfortable under the leafy bedsheets.
Unable to return to sleep now that she was awake, her mind drifted back to the night before. Needless to say, the memories were vivid.

Around the same time, Rowan rolled over one time too many and fell out of bed, the heavy thump of his half-naked body hitting the floor jarring him awake. "Huh? Wha?" he mumbled before noticing his predicament in the form of sheets tangled about his person and the bed being next to him instead of underneath him like it should be.
"Oh, God dammit, fell out of bed again," he said to himself. "Got to fix tha - " He cut himself off, hearing the sound of his own voice properly. It was feminine, and sounded familiar. The realisation came almost immediately, and he dashed into the bathroom to look at himself in the mirror. The resulting reflection showed that he had shapeshifted overnight; hair in a tangled mess, a face many would consider attractive... Rowan sighed to himself as he looked down at the female form into which he had changed. He was an exact copy of Alex... and he wasn't wearing a shirt.
"Well, this is interesting. I honestly don't know how they're gonna take this," he said to the mirror, thinking over the implications. "Still, might as well find out first hand." He shifted into another form of Alex, this time wearing a different outfit - one he had seen her wearing two days ago - and the hair straightened out. After examining himself in the mirror to check he hadn't screwed up, Rowan figured breakfast was top priority, and left for the kitchen to find something to eat.
