Jason's eyes widenened from behind Garrus' glasses, chuckling neverlously. He looked down at the short, scruffy, body he inhabited. He could at least attempt to try and get used to it.

"Sounds like meditating will be my only choice then. It's the only way i'll be in better control of my body." Jason-Garrus replied, looking back towards Garrus-Tyrell, showing a small, yet hopeful smirk.

Tyson-Requiem took the clip board and removed the note between himself-Requiem and Rowan-Tyson and tossed it to Requiem-Jason not even reading Rowan-Tyson's last message. "Beep boop booeep." Tyson-Requiem said. Read that. I have my reasons.

Tyson-Requiem then wrote down on a sheet of paper the current list of people and the bodies they are currently in. Tyson-Requiem then wrote
Code:
Thank you.
on the bottom of the piece of paper, ripped it off, and handed it to Alex-Eric.

Tyson looked around at all the people struggling with control of their current body's power. Tyson-Requiem wrote,
Code:
We need to be changed back or to get out of here and soon. To many violent power activation possibilities. If one gets triggered in here we'll likely bring this place down on us.
Tyson-Requiem then ripped off the piece of paper and threw it to Garrus-Tyrell.

"Uh...okay..."

Nervously, Levi complied with Taryn's instructions and hesitantly brought his hands together. Arcs of blue electricity jumped from one hand to the other as they came closer. When his hands were firmly connected, the electricity began to flow unrestricted between his arms. Then in his voice, Taryn told him the next set of instructions. "You need to calm down". Trembling slightly, Levi focused inward. Although it was his own voice telling him to calm down, the intention behind the words still worked the same. Taking deep breaths, he could feel the the static-like sensation die down as the crackling electricity began to calm. After a few moments, Levi opened his eyes again. His hands were no longer radiating electricity, save for the occasional random spark.

Victor's fist smashed clear through the Wall, sending shards of broken glass flying. Another punch quickly widened the hole. Stopping for a moment to survey the damage, he beamed with satisfaction. Although it would be a decent amount of time before he could break completely through, Victor was in a perfect position to enjoy a little good old fashioned torment. Through the gap in the Wall, he whispered a simple message into Taryn's mind. "Hello, Miss Foundre"

"You'll be fine Jason, you're a tough guy. You can handle this body change if you are calm and you do everything calmly," Garrus-Tyrell replied with a smile as a piece of paper was thrown at his forehead, bouncing off after Garrus' failed attempt to catch it.

"Still need to get used to my own new body though," he chuckled as he reached down to grab the piece of paper, looking up to see that it had come from his younger brother's body (Jason right behind him and reading a piece of paper before throwing it at the back of Requiem's head). He took a second to read before nodding, calling out to Mordtoten and asking how much longer.

"Well I think the most important thing is to do these brain scans first, just to make things safe. I also need to start collecting apples again, thank god that the neighbour across the street has a whole orchard practically! After that I should be able to safely transfer you all back...though we could just try it out once I get the apples needed, but that'd be based off sheer luck," Mordtoten replied back as he examined the inner-workings of The Juicer, checking all the settings.

"OK, OK, that's not bad," Brialex reasoned. "Yeah, can't take all that long to get another batch of apples together. All right. I can deal with this. Maybe. As long as it's quick, and I don't have to spend more than a month like this. No offense, Alex."

Taryn smiled as Levi managed to calm his...her...the electricity down. "There you go." Taryn said softly. It was still a bit disconcerting to see her own power but not be the one experiencing it. Taryn absently rubbed her hand over her sleeved wrist. Levi had actually done better than she'd expected. "Nicely done." she complimented him with a slight nod. If she pictured Levi when she spoke, it helped to minimize the weirdness factor.

"Hello, Miss Foundre"

Taryn startled violently and spun around on one foot. She instinctively raised her arm as though preparing to ward off a blow. Unfortunately as she moved Taryn overcompensated for her new body's mass. She stumbled sideways. Once again Taryn reached out for the nearest object to steady herself. She gripped something metallic as a cold rush of fear went through her. 'Victor.'

He'd been gone for so long...ever since the alien moon. Taryn had begun to hope that he was gone for good. She shivered, hearing her accented named again as a distant echo. Clearly she'd been mistaken. He was here. With her.

In the midst of Taryn's discovery an alarm[footnote]Sounds like this [http://www.policeinterceptor.com/sounds/newgq.wav][/footnote] suddenly began sounding from Levi's jacket. The loud medium pitched pulsating tone was continuous and steady. Were it any other sound coming from that phone Taryn would have ignored it in her present state. But this particular sound had been chosen for one situation and one situation only. The security at the Promenade being breached.

Wrenching her focus away from the effects of Victor's creepy communication Taryn stepped toward Levi. She mumbled a quick apology before pulling the phone out of his jacket pocket. She quickly read the blinking message. Taryn cleared her throat sharply before addressing the group.

"Hey guys!" she raised her voice, which seemed a bit easier to do now, "We've got trouble at the Promenade!" The phone continued to make its incessantly loud noise. Taryn fumbled through the menus with unfamiliar fingers as she attempted to get to the program quickly.

Levi watched in concern when Taryn suddenly turned around and stumbled against one of Mordtoten's machines. It was apparent that she was still coming to grips with moving around in his body. Before he could speak up and ask if she was okay, a somewhat loud, pulsating alarm blared from one of his (rather, Taryn's) vest pocket. She approached him and removed what he recognized as her cell phone from the pocket. In Levi's voice, Taryn made the announcement that the Promenade was in some sort of trouble.

Oh great. Not now. Any time but now. His hands started sparking a bit more as the fear shot through him. Looking at his hands again made Levi wonder how Taryn dealt with the near-constant flow of electricity. However she did it, he had to give her credit. He looked back up at the group, whom seemed to be slowly coming to grips with their situation.

"What should we do? I don't think we could just leave the Promenade to potentially get sacked," he said to the others. "Oh, and by the way, this is Levi here in Taryn's body..." he added somewhat quietly.

Steven woke up slowly. Normally, he couldn't stay asleep, because of the night terrors. He braced his hands against the floor to steady himself, and smashed the floor around him to rubble. He tried to reach into his coat pocket for his flask, but couldn't find anything. "Holy crap! I feel like a giant! What the hell is going on here?" He tried to grab a thick steel pole to raise himself up, and ripped it clean off the wall. "Son of a ***** I'm Tommy" he exclaimed breathlessly.

"Oh god, my son is in the Promenade, we need to get back there now. That bird better protect my son with its life damn it." Lillian said in alarm.

"Oh fuck, I never earned Katie's powers." She said almost immediately afterwards.

-----------------

"I never learned Rowan's powers either, but no time to worry about that, hopefully we can both learn some basics on the way back to the Promenade." Richard replied.

Rowan immediately strode over to Richard and his body, clipboard in hand. Clearly unable to speak - and even if he wanted to, he wouldn't - he hastily wrote a message for Richard.
Code:
Don't try to shift into anyone else's form, unless you have a very clear image of that person in your mind, able to see them from all angles. The trick is to concentrate as hard as you can on the person in question. I would recommend your own body so you can function as best as possible. I don't know how effective shifting into your body will be; there may be an extended flux stage, you might feel some kind of itching in your fingers, I dunno.
Code:
I can show you the appropriate gestures for my brain's psychic weapon, but you will need to master its power yourself. Be careful, though; you might give yourself - er, me - a migraine.
Rowan mentally cursed himself for being unable to write anything shorter, but it was necessary in order to allow Richard to fully understand how to use the powers associated with the body he inhabited.

Katie's/Leland's eyes flickered open, everyone's voices all rushing back to her as she woke for the second time. She groaned and immediately clapped her hands to her head again, noticing that Brian was kneeling at her side. "Uhh... who are you?" she murmured in her boyfriend's voice. "Don't - don't speak, just think the answer. It echoes if you talk, makes it worse... Aahh, how does Leland put up with this..."

She didn't realise it, but Katie was also speaking telepathically, most likely causing the same echoing effect to whoever was in Brian's body.

Before Jarrus could relay any other emotion of confidence, Taryn's blaring alarm went off, echoing through the reformatted basement Mortoten called his laboratory.

"Well, I thought this day couldn't get any better. Obviously, I was wrong. Alright Garrus, let's go save your...my(?)...whatever. Let's go save Renton. I should be able to control my (ummm, your) powers for the ride back to the Promenade. Levi, Taryn, whichever body you two are in, you should still be able to fly the Merriwheather, right?" He asked them optimistically before taking a deep breath a heading towards the staircase leading towards the upper levels of the mad scientist's house.

Leland-Brian looked over at his own body when his eyes opened up, immediately hearing the echo effect due to being talked to through two different means.

He grabbed the side of his old body's head with both hands, making sure they were looking straight at him as he thought. 'Alright whoever is in my body. This is Leland stuck in the Canadian's head. If you want to even get just a little bit more used to the voices you're going to have to listen to me. First off try not to speak too much if you can because you send the thoughts to the person whilst you also tell it to them, causing the same echo effect you're getting. Second you should only focus on me right now. No one else. Pretend it's only myself and you in the room. You're obviously reading my mind, so try and talk to me telepathically. You were doing that a second before without realizing it, just keep your mouth shut this time,' Leland thought, his face only a few inches away from his normal body as he did his best to make sure they focused on him, 'This teaching lesson will have to be quick, seemingly we have an attack at the Promenade. I'll help you on the way back too.'

----

"Seriously person who is in Levi's body!? Fuck! Alright we need to head the fuck back to the Promenade now! Real Taryn and Levi you guys head on up and get it started since you know the damned controls! Mordtoten this thing better be ready to go by the time we get back!" Garrus-Tyrell yelled out in a frenzied state before rushing over to his wife who was stuck in Katie's body, "It'll be alright I'm sure. We just need to hurry it up over there as quickly as possible."

"I'll have the apples by then. Better go put on my apple-picking outfit," Mordtoten muttered, lifting up his goggles now that he was done with The Juicer and heading upstairs to go to his room and change.

Taryn finally found the right screen and manually punched a series of numbers to shut the alarm off. She looked up the second time the Merriweather was mentioned.

"Um... well I'm Taryn." she commented, though her words were a bit lost amongst the yelling. 'I'm betting that's Garrus' Taryn thought silently as she watched Tyrell's temporary host get a little spastic. She glanced down at Levi and nodded toward the stairs. "We should go." she said. The sooner the Merriweather was ready the sooner they could get back to the Promenade. Taryn began to make her way to the ship. On the way to the stairs she stepped over bits of metal and random debris.

"Oh fuck me," Brialex cursed. It was a lot easier to do in Alex's body, but he had no idea why. He had heard Leland talking. Great, so the rock star is in my body? That's awesome. He went up to Leland-Brian after he finished talking and shot as stern a look as he could manage looking up at his former self.

"All right, rock star, listen up. I got a feeling that a lot of people are going to need healing in this one, since we all don't know how to do anything in these new bodies, especially me, so you're going to be pretty important right now, OK? You don't have to worry about yourself, the healing occurs naturally, but if you want to heal anyone else, you have to put your hand over the most effected area and concentrate. You have to be able to channel your energy into them. And you have to keep PERFECTLY STILL! Both of you! Someone moves, bones are going to go right out of place, and that isn't definitely isn't good. And don't think you're invincible either, because you're not. Just take care of my body until we can get things switched back OK?"

With that Brialex started moving towards the door. God damn, every mission better not be like this, otherwise I'm going to have a freaking breakdown by the time I'm 24.

Katie closed her eyes for a few seconds, trying to quickly take in all that Leland had said. She closed her mouth and looked back up at Leland/Brian, trying to think her words rather than say them. It didn't work the first time, so instead she tried thinking about what she would plan to say, as if she would speak the words some other time.

"Okay, um... I think I get it, but I'm not sure. It's Katie in here, just so you know. Can you tell if this is working? I don't know."

"Alright I got it Brialex, now shoo I need to help my own body with dealing with somethings. I'll remember what you said though," Leland-Brian replied back quickly before hearing Katie-Leland's thoughts in their own head.

'This is good. You're doing great...wait Katie? Aw man you got my body. Well that doesn't matter, just know I'm happy to see you...well something like that,' Leland-Brian thought before leaning down and kissing Katie-Leland.

'Hmm, that mustache of mine is quite ticklish...this was also probably a lot more awkward than I thought it would be. Anyways, do you think you can stand up? We'll have to be heading out really soon to protect the Promenade, and as I said I can help you more along the way over there. And I think you can help Lillian too since I believe she is in your body,' Leland-Brian thought, holding out a hand to help Katie up.

----

Ethan-Jason frowned when he heard that the Promenade was being attacked, rushing up the stairs and out the door as fast as his new body could get him. He paused when he realized no one else was out the door yet, waving hello to the mailman out front and to the two children in the neighbour's yard (one of which was holding a Savannah lizard with a pink bow on it).

Alex-Eric sent a small wave of ground at Leland-Brian. "Leland that's odd as hell." she said. "Besides we need to get back home, the Promenade is under attack." she said heading back to the ship.

"Eric don't think about flying there. Don't want you running into things." Alex said.

Eric sighed. "Ok fine." he said following Alex to the ship and sat down sighing.

Accepting the hand up, Katie carefully got up, continuing to keep her focus on Leland. "Heck yeah, that was awkward. I'm not sure that that was something I want to experience again," she thought to him. "You don't mind holding off on the PDAs until we're back to normal, do you?"

Then another thought came back to her. "Wait... the Promenade's been hit? Ah, crap. You might have to teach me a spell or something to knock people out. And yeah, I can try to help Lillian, if I can quickly switch from you to her and somehow manage to describe what I do with my powers... that's gonna be difficult."

Brialex turned around after Alex-Eric made that comment and saw his body standing under Leland's body, way too close for comfort. "God damn it! Ugh. Thank god there aren't any bloody cameras around."

He went back up to Alex-Eric as he started leaving. "OK, Alex, can you tell me anything I can do, during this thing? I highly doubt being able to soak my outfit is going to do anything, unless whoever is intruding really likes wet everything contests."

'I think I can manage that. I'll do my best to not fall to temptation,' Leland-Brian thought back as Katie-Leland stood up, putting their arm around his shoulder so that he could help them walk up the stairs.

'Teaching you spells will be difficult due to the fact that I took shortcuts so that I wouldn't have to say or think about the spells once I had mastered them. You however will have a hard time since you don't know the first thing about magic. I'll try to teach you how to use the shortcuts, but that will have to wait until we get inside the Merriweather,' he thought as they ascended the stairs and walked through Mordtoten's house, exiting the house as they walked across the lawn.

'As for helping Lillian I'll let you do that first once inside the ship. She'll have to sit next to us and the same goes for when you're telepathically commuting with me: only focus on the person you want to communicate with. If you start to linger you'll get assaulted with everyone else's thoughts again,' he added, tapping Ethan on the shoulder to get him to stop talking to the children and instead to get on the ship.
