"Yeah Tommy, you're not the only one who woke up with a new set of balloons on their chest. We all have problems," Brialex commented. "God my clothes are still soaked."

He figured now would be the time to try Alex's advice, if only to test and see if he could clear his mind enough to be effective. He tried to empty his mind and imagine the water coming back into his body, so he wouldn't have to sit in a puddle. He did this for a few seconds and when he opened his eyes, the clothes were as dry as an Englishman's comeback.

"Hey, look, I actually did something I wanted to! That's a start!"

"I noticed".

Levi grinned in return and briefly examined the console in front of him. It appeared that everything was in order and the Merriweather was ready for takeoff. "Everything looks okay on this end. Time to get her flying, pilot," he said with a short laugh. Despite the present danger to the Promenade, he found their reversal of role amusing. He removed his hands from from the control panel and clasped them together again, in case of another random burst of electricity. Levi was confident that he had at least some form of containment, but the ever-present feeling of static and a very faint humming reminded him that as long he was stuck in Taryn's body, he was still a walking Tesla Coil waiting to go off. Well, at least if I suddenly start shooting lightning everywhere, the pants will still be spotless.

'Yay diversity!' Ethan-Jason thought as he clapped his hands together a few times before turning to Jason-Garrus and asking if he could say a famous quote in Spanish if he'd be so kind.

"I'm not that short Jason! I'm like the same height as you, or an inch shorter. As for the rest of it no argument there, I blame my father for that," Garrus-Tyrell replied, crossing his arms as he sat back down.
"Alright, I think we all just need to relax right now. Figure out each other's powers and such so that we can be somewhat ready if we need to use them...depending on what is happening at the Promenade that is. What is happening actually? Anyone know?" Leland-Brian asked out loud, letting Katie and Lillian talk.

Tommian quickly let go of his chest and held his hand up when Garrus started punching his real body. "Fine! Christ Garrus, if you think it's awkward for you imagine me! and we both know that hurts you more than me, I mean him," he replied before turning to Brialex.

"Be glad your's aren't lactating." Was his only comment.

I'll try that Katie. Plants...receed. Lillian-Katie thought, the plants did pull back by a small amount but not the the extent she thought they might.

Well...it's a start. she though again.

"Eric, you may be in my suit but if you access one file I will kill you and not even Alex will be able to stop me. You have barely any idea how much shit those plans getting out caused and I will not let it happen again." Richard-Rowan replied.

Eric smirked. "You can't kill me if I just take your body with me." Eric smirked.

"Eric stop now." Alex said taking Richard's side on this. "I won't save you if you hack into his suit." Alex said looking at Eric-Richard.

Eric blinked stopping. "Ummmmmmmm shit. Come one Alex you're kidding right?" Eric said hopefully.

"No I'm not kidding." Alex said staring him down.

"Yikes, well I guess that's true," Brialex agreed. "I could actually do that now too. That is fucked up. God that scientist better pick apples like there's no tomorrow, or I'll make sure that he has no tomorrow."

Why am I so angry in Alex's body? I've never been this mad before. Or at least I've been able to control it enough to where it's barely noticeable. Jeez, I need to calm down.

"Actually, I might be able to help with that." Taryn called to Leland. "But I'm going to be busy for a few minutes. Levi, could you reach into uh, your jacket and get my laptop out? It should still be linked to the video feeds I've got setup at the Promenade..."

Immediately after her request Taryn started the ship's engines and engaged the thrusters. With a dull roar and series of close-knit vibrations the ship began to move. Taryn pulled back on the yoke slowly and frowned in concentration. The ship rose slowly into the air. Once the Merriweather reached the proper altitude Taryn reached forward with her free hand and flipped a series of switches to activate the autopilot. The ship shuddered briefly as the system engaged and the aircraft leveled off. When she was certain that the course was set Taryn released the yoke and sat back in her chair.

"Your laptop? Uh, yeah, hang on..." Levi said as he unzipped his (Taryn's) jacket slightly and felt around the pockets. As his hand brushed past the upper pocket on the left slide, he felt something solid. Aha! Levi pulled the laptop out from the pocket and opened it up. He was greeted with the familiar login screen demanding a password. Having used Taryn's computer before in less...interesting times, he knew the login. Setting his hands on the keyboard, he entered (or at least, tried to enter) the password,
Code:
rulethisland10723
. After a few retries, Levi eventually got it right and made it to the desktop. Feels so weird typing with these these tiny fingers...

Quickly, he brought up the live feed from the surveillance system they had installed into the Promenade. On screen, it showed the feed from several of the security cameras, divided into individual windows. In one, it showed the infirmary in a state of disarray, with glass broken and medical supplies strewn in every which way. In the corner of the screen, Levi could make out what looked like the Doctor curled up in the corner.

The next window depicted the lounge in a similar state of destruction, with a few couches turned over. Curiously, what appeared to be discarded soda cans and food wrappers littered the floor as well. Levi entered in a command to make the camera perform a 180 degree sweep of the area. As the camera panned, the cause of the litter became apparent. The intruders seemed to be gathered around the lounge's television...playing Guitar Hero? Because the people in question stood with their backs facing the camera, he couldn't tell who exactly they were.

The third window answered that question relatively quickly. The camera from Renton's room showed who was clearly Major Crime attempting to put a cigar in the baby's mouth. If he managed to get that far, then Talbot must've been subdued somehow. That theory was supplemented by the fact that Major Crime seemed to be wearing an eyepatch. In any case, it was obvious that the Union had infiltrated the Promenade.

"We got our work cut out for us, people. The Union has decided to sack the Promenade," Levi said as he turned the screen so the others could see. Bad timing. Bad, bad, bad timing.

Alex growled. "Fuck and with us being in this state we'll be hard pressed to fight the Union." Alex said threw her teeth. "Damn idiot scientist." she said pacing around the ship trying to think quickly.

Eric's jaw dropped when her heard the news. "It had to be today didn't it? Well things couldn't get any... never mind I shouldn't say that." Eric said thinking back to the alien moon and each time Garrus said that things did end up getting worse.

"Things are going to get fucking worse for the Union, that's what is going to happen!" Garrus-Tyrell yelled out in anger as he saw the video feed, watching as the cigar was lit up and Renton started to cough and cry (Major Crime then trying to calm the kid down with a bottle of beer, only to make him cry more), "I'm going to kill that ************!"

"Well from that Lounge screen it seems like there are only a few left...I see Malcolm there, and The Countess...and The Count lying unconscious there next to her," Leland-Brian muttered as he got up to get a better look at the screen.
"Seems like there were a lot more...they must have left once they were done raiding and realized that we weren't there," Ethan-Jason said as he asked if there were any other feeds they could see from the Promenade.

"What the fuck!" Brialex exclaimed as the windows came into focus. "If that's my Xbox they're using, I'm going to shove my stick down their throats and turn them into shishkabobs! Little fucking bastards!" As he finished this insult, he flung his fist towards the ground and a large bullet of water shot out immediately crystallizing into ice.

"Fuck! Someone want to put this ship into hyperdrive so I can do to those fucking future corpses what I just did to the floor?"

Levi nodded to Requiem and selected a few more of the feeds to display.

One of them showed the garden, and Katie's quarters in the Promenade, in flames. The beautifully maintained floral work was ablaze and slowly burning to the ground. Through the billowing smoke, Levi could make out what appeared to be craters pocketing the soil in the garden and uprooted plants laying scorched nearby.

Another focused on the kitchen showed the refrigerator left wide open, with various food and drink products splattered all over the floor. Empty cans of beer and soda were strewn about as well. Oddly enough, the freezer was not opened, and seemed to have a piece of paper attached to it. The resolution of the camera didn't clearly show what was written on it, however.

"This looks bad," Levi said under his breath, stating the obvious at this point. It still struck him as completely weird that everything he said was coming out in Taryn's voice. He was still having a hard time believing that all of this wasn't some extremely weird dream. Not only was he trapped in his lover's body with little to no control over her dangerous electricity, the Promenade was being destroyed by the Union, whom they were in no condition to fight.

The constant buzzing suddenly became louder, and the static sensation also became more intense. Quickly handing the computer to Taryn, Levi looked down at his hands as the blue arcs of electricity started traveling up and down his arms. Oh, great. Not again. He focused inward and felt his heart racing. Counting the beats, Levi attempted to calm down again and halt the flow of energy.

Jason looked at the screen along with the others, face tensing up sternly. He looked down towards his body, knowing that Erebus was feeling the same way. This was definitely the wrong time to have their bodies switched.

"Levi, Taryn, are their any other cameras?" He asked unsettlingly, eyes shifting around from behind Garrus' green-tinted Wayfarers as he nervously shifted the collar of his sweater.

[hr]

As Jason expected, Erebus felt the same feeling of nervousness as Requiem looked at the security cameras.

"There may've been more earlier, but there's more people here, more than these four...somewhere." Erebus said to himself as he quickly scanned the screens. Eventually, he addressed Ethan.

"Word of warning kid, there's gonna be a lot of fight coming your way. I just need to know...will you be prepared?" He asked in a seriously nervous tone.

Taryn unbuckled her harness as she responded to Jason. "There are, but it looks like they've been disabled." She tilted the top of the laptop to look at the screen again. Several small red boxes filled the camera list. She pulled up a few of the feeds to check but resulting screens were either black or full of static. 'Damn.' "Yep...they're offline." she repeated.

Shoving the laptop into her pocket Taryn knelt down in front of Levi. He seemed to be having difficulty with her powers. And given the circumstances Taryn understood why. But aircraft and uncontrolled electricity did not mix. Hoping she wasn't about to knock herself out Taryn reached up and wrapped her hands around Levi's. She had a split second to register the oddness of her hands fitting over his before the electricity jumped.

The feeling of gripping his own hands felt weird, but not as uncomfortable as the feeling of the flow of electricity suddenly jumping from himself to Taryn. In an ironic echo of what has happened between them before, it was Levi who was electrocuting Taryn. He knew that his body could handle absorbing electricity, but he was still unsure how much he could hold before slipping painfully into unconsciousness. Within a few seconds, the flow of electricity died down once again, the buzzing sound in Levi's ears quieting back into a background noise. Letting go of his...Taryn's hands, he cleared his throat. "Uh...thanks," he said quietly.

"I'll kill that fuck!" Lillian roared as she watched the screen. She felt pain at the destroyed plants but that only served to fuel her rage and bloodlust at the images of her son.

---------------------

"I don't think anyone here will stop you Lil." Richard replied before looking to Eric.

"A veritable hell was unleashed the last time those plans left my hands, and I won't let it happen again. I like you Eric, but the lives of the many are far more important than you in the grand scheme of things."

'That was...interesting.' Taryn thought as she withdrew her hands and flexed her fingers out of habit. "You're welcome." she replied to Levi, sounding a bit distracted. With a quiet grunt of effort Taryn pushed off from the floor to stand to her feet. She paused for a few seconds to make sure her temporary body wasn't going to start suffering any ill-effects. Then Taryn stepped backwards to sit in the pilot's chair. She smiled briefly at Levi once she was seated.

"Jeez I'm happy I wasn't around Major Crime as a young child," Ethan-Jason said, watching as Major Crime tried teaching little Renton how to break a beer bottle.
"You have no idea," Leland replied, shaking his head as old memories came back.

Ethan-Jason nodded, quite happy he had met Major Crime during his double-digit years. He heard Erebus speak then inside the mindscape. 'I'm prepared. I think I've gotten more used to Jason's body than most people have with theirs. Hmm I should probably try working on those spike things that Jason has. Any helpful hints King of Galaluna?' Ethan thought as he stopped watching the feed and took a seat towards the side of the ship, wanting to be able to concentrate on his current issue.

----

Leland-Brian sighed as he saw the video feed of the gardens on fire, knowing that Nuke would do something like this. "And it's clearly his work," he muttered, looking at the craters that were seen in the feed. He was quiet as went back to sit down, placing a hand on Katie-Leland's shoulder.

" Seriously? Again? This is like the third time they've wrecked our house, do these people have nothing better to do?" Tommy groaned before turning to Leland, "Hey Leland you know where they live right? Maybe we should wreck their house and see how they like it?"

Tommy wasn't exactly sure why but seeing Renton manhandled by Major Crime in that video was making him a lot angrier then it should. Oh my lord that has to be the momma hormones, I need to get out of this body quick.
