"Your laptop? Uh, yeah, hang on..." Levi said as he unzipped his (Taryn's) jacket slightly and felt around the pockets. As his hand brushed past the upper pocket on the left slide, he felt something solid.
Aha! Levi pulled the laptop out from the pocket and opened it up. He was greeted with the familiar login screen demanding a password. Having used Taryn's computer before in less...interesting times, he knew the login. Setting his hands on the keyboard, he entered (or at least, tried to enter) the password,
. After a few retries, Levi eventually got it right and made it to the desktop.
Feels so weird typing with these these tiny fingers...
Quickly, he brought up the live feed from the surveillance system they had installed into the Promenade. On screen, it showed the feed from several of the security cameras, divided into individual windows. In one, it showed the infirmary in a state of disarray, with glass broken and medical supplies strewn in every which way. In the corner of the screen, Levi could make out what looked like the Doctor curled up in the corner.
The next window depicted the lounge in a similar state of destruction, with a few couches turned over. Curiously, what appeared to be discarded soda cans and food wrappers littered the floor as well. Levi entered in a command to make the camera perform a 180 degree sweep of the area. As the camera panned, the cause of the litter became apparent. The intruders seemed to be gathered around the lounge's television...playing Guitar Hero? Because the people in question stood with their backs facing the camera, he couldn't tell who exactly they were.
The third window answered that question relatively quickly. The camera from Renton's room showed who was clearly Major Crime attempting to put a cigar in the baby's mouth. If he managed to get that far, then Talbot must've been subdued somehow. That theory was supplemented by the fact that Major Crime seemed to be wearing an eyepatch. In any case, it was obvious that the Union had infiltrated the Promenade.
"We got our work cut out for us, people. The Union has decided to sack the Promenade," Levi said as he turned the screen so the others could see.
Bad timing. Bad, bad, bad timing.
