Society of Justice 3: Crisis on the Earth

"Um..." Taryn winced as she looked down. 'Why do injuries hurt more after you look at them?' she thought ruefully. The idea of being carried was kind of demeaning. 'But it's not like I can walk out of here yet.' Taryn glanced over at Levi and then nodded at Tyson. "I guess. That's okay...um...thanks." she replied. She shifted in the chair and winced once more as a sharp pain traveled from her feet and up through her legs. 'Great. More time in the infirmary. Wait...where *is* the Doctor?'

"Hi there the name is Garrus nice to meet you," Garrus-Tyrell quickly introduced himself to Marrissa, only turning to look once he heard his phone ringing in the pocket of his normal body. He walked over and grabbed the phone, quickly opening it up and answering with an annoyed 'hello'.

"Uh-huh. No let him go! Don't arrest him! He's doing that on our orders! What did he just say? Twenty minutes? Okay that's fine, just un-handcuff him and tell him we'll be there shortly," Garrus answered before hanging up and handing the phone to Jason before telling everyone, "So Mordtoten said he'd be good to change us back in twenty so let's get the hell out of here once we get my son. As for needing a map, we don't need one. We can either enter through from the outside where the living area hallway is and cross it, break through where the gym is, or go in from the museum and pool."

" I say gym, we just got the pool redone, and the museum has some expensive stuff, I figure if we got a risk a fight it might as well be in the room that already due for a renovation." Tommy told Garrus as he locked and loaded his guns and performed a last minute check. It was odd how familiar the guns felt despite the fact he had never used them before in his life. Lillian's body seemed to already know exactly what to do to reload them and get them ready to fire.

Brialex sized up the person he had so callously described as "a *****". Hmmmm, not bad, not bad. She looks pretty young though. Ah well.

"I'm Brian, and yeah, I'm normally not a black-haired babe. Original owner is inside with the sneak team, and my actual body is inhabited by Geddy Lee over there." He pointed at Leland-Brian.

Garrus informed the team of the news that the Professor was almost done. "Fuckin' A! About time! All right let's get in there from the hallway, it's the closest place to where your kid is, right?"

Levi gestured to the holes in the wall that were created by Ethan's violent exit, courtesy of the green armored Keyholder. "We can probably get out through here. Looks like it'll take us outside. Probably better than backtracking through the hallway, especially if the rest of them heard the commotion," he said, inspecting the gap in the wall. It was big enough for all of them to fit through, all the way to end. "We should get moving," he added curtly.

As suggestions were being thrown around the room, Marrissa timidly raised her hand.

"I could go get the baby. They'll think i'm still with Takashi." She suggested, Jason-Garrus raising an eyebrow.

"I thought you didn't want to help us?" He asked.

"No, I only said that I didn't want to be apart of the Society. I'll still help whoever my brothers are helping." She answered with a confident nod. Jason looked up from her, smiling proudly. Perhaps, there might've been some hope for her after all.

Tyson recognized the look on Taryn's face. "

Although it might not mean much, I know how you feel. If there was another realistic option we could use to get you to the ship we would.

" Became visible on the visor. Tyson actually only knew what it felt like to not want to be carried. He'd actually gone to the point of pulling himself by his arms to and onto an evacuation helicopter before. But Tyson had heard every detail of how it felt before. He knew how people looked. He knew how it could even change people and he'd never have wished it on anyone. Of course Tyson also knew that the short trip to the ship wouldn't even get anywhere close to that point.

Tyson turned around and knelt down in front of the chair and felt Taryn grab around his neck. Tyson then grabbed her legs avoiding the spots that the spikes had punctured and stood up a little off balance. Gaining his balance again Tyson started to follow Levi outside.

Levi, Alex, and Tyson (with Taryn in tow) made their way through the hole in the Promenade wall and stepped out into a perfectly normal looking late summer day. Levi couldn't help but notice the contrast; their own day so far has been anything but normal. The group spent several silent minutes walking around the exterior of the Promenade when the Merriweather came into view. Thankfully, the ship appeared intact, and a few people were outside around it. There's one good thing, he thought. As the group neared the ship, Levi waved to the people outside. "Are the feeds online for you guys?" he asked.

Both Katie and Rowan had elected to wait with the Merriweather, the former keeping her concentration on the latter so as to avoid passing out again from the - undoubtedly multitudinous - masses of thoughts that would rush into her mind. The two were holding a mental conversation while they waited; Katie was giving Rowan a description of the Union, whom he had never met.

When Levi/Taryn, Tyson/Requiem carrying Taryn/Levi, and Alex/Eric came into view from around the corner, Levi asking something about the feeds, Katie immediately broke off her train of thought and locked onto his mind instead. As she did so, she focused her gaze onto 'Taryn's' face to keep her concentration. "Feeds? I don't know what you mean," she thought-spoke, confused.

"That could work Marrissa, they at least trust you. Not sure how you'd explain taking my son out of the Promenade, but that still might be the best idea we have..." Garrus-Tyrell trailed off after that, taking time to look at the feeds to see if anything had changed that could inhibit any plans.

"Well it's either that, bust on in ourselves from the gym, or have Ethan go in since I doubt he'd be attacked by the Union. He at least left on good terms," Leland-Brian added from his seat.

Tyson walked inside while it appeared that Levi was waiting for anwser. Tyson walked to the middle section of the cockpit and set Taryn down in a seat. Tyson heard Ethan's name with referance to his image but ignored it for the moment as more important things were needed. Tyson hooked a youtube clip of a loud whistle followed by a clip of an ambulance siren in order to draw attention. A red cross appeared on both sides of his visor with, "MEDIC!" in between them. Tyson was overlooking the fact that he still had several spikes sticking out of his chest.

As Tyson called for medical attention for Taryn, Levi noticed that Katie (in Leland's body) was staring at him. It was good to see her up and about after the major mental trauma she experienced from having a crash course in Leland's mind-reading abilities, but he wasn't sure why she was staring at him.

"Feeds? I don't know what you mean".

Levi recoiled slightly when he heard Katie's voice not from his ears, but his head. He had forgotten that Leland could speak into minds as well read their thoughts. Unsure what to do, he focused on Katie-Leland's face and thought a reply. The security camera feeds from the Promenade. We needed them back online to find out what the Union's doing in there. Tyson and I had a lovely encounter with Jason's brother getting them up...and Victor too, he thought, hoping Katie could "hear" his message.

Leland's face twisted into what Katie assumed to be a dismayed expression upon 'hearing' Levi's response. She quickly thought back a response. "Oh, right. I wouldn't know anything about that, you'll need to see for yourself. Sorry." Then she re-listened to the second half of Levi's message in her mind. "Ah, geez. Has to be Takashi, doesn't it... Wait. Victor? Seriously?" Considering that Katie figured that Taryn didn't exactly know how to keep Victor under control - after living with him in your head, she figured Levi would have learned to deal with him over time, and Taryn didn't have that luxury - that was clearly a problem.

"Anyways. I'm assuming you can access the video feeds from the Merriweather, so I don't think I can help with that. I'm no techie."

"If you want a medic you should ask Bri- oh shit that's right I'm in the field medic's body!" Leland-Brian groaned as he got up from his comfy seat and kneeled next to the injured Taryn.

"Okay so normally I suck with healing but that's healing magic which is completely different than having the ability to heal I'm sure, so you're in good hands Taryn-in-Levi's body. So, where does it hurt? What's the extent of your injuries?" he asked, trying to stay positive and hoping that there were no life-threatening injuries.

Ethan, meanwhile, walked over to Tyson to examine the damage done to his body, saying something about 'being more careful next time' and 'not using so much morphine'.

'Everything hurts...' Taryn shook her head slowly then winced. She brought her hand up to her neck as she replied to Leland. "My feet were skewered." she said pointing down to indicate the damaged limbs. The sharp pain was starting to become a cold numbness. Taryn focused on cataloging her injuries and tried not to think of what that could mean. "Something -possibly someone- hit me in the head." Taryn continued. She gave a brief pained smile and lowered her arm back to her side.

"Do you think you can help?" she asked quietly.

"He'll be able to, if he listens to me," Brialex piped up as she came over to where Taryn-Levi was resting. This was the job he was here to do on this team, and he would be damned if some rock star pretty boy was going to mess it up because he wasn't paying attention.

"All right, Steven Page, you remember what I told you back in the lab place? You got to concentrate the energy of your body through your hands into Taryn, and you can not move. You move, energy flow is disrupted, healing reverts. And staying still goes double for you Taryn. You move while this is done and your legs could be healed the wrong way. Or worse. Let me tell you I speak from experience. You remember lessons like that when it's your armbone growing outside of your skin. I'll stay by, make sure this is done right, plus if I could figure out how Alex's healing thing works I could try to do your head at the same time, but I'll hold off since I'd rather not risk freezing you like an ice cube instead. We'll just rely on Derryck Whibley hopefully not screwing this up."

Tyson wasn't amused and flipped Ethan off. "

Next time tell that to the freak in the red armor. If I haven't killed him by then. Also the morphine was working by itself so you can fix that system later if it was giving me to much.

" Showed up on the visor. Tyson walked away from Ethan and sat down in his previous seat and started pulling out the spikes in his chest and put them into his duffel bag. He was going to be sure to give them back to that asshole in red later.

Tyson than got up and walked over to Jason who was standing beside the girl that knocked Ethan through all of the walls. Tyson tapped Jason on the shoulder. "

Explanation time. Who was the freak in the red armor who gave me all these puncture wounds.

" Came up on the visor.

"You know I don't know any of the people you are referencing while trying to put me down Brian," Leland explained with slight annoyance, taking a few deep breaths as he listened to the man whose body he was currently in, "Alright. Need to concentrate now. Everything will be fine Taryn, just don't move or else you'll be giving Levi mangled feet for the rest of his life."

He cracked his knuckles after that and placed them over Taryn-Levi's punctured feet, mentally preparing himself for channeling his energy. 'I'm just happy I've done similar in magic,' he thought to himself, closing his eyes as he concentrated. Brian's non-magical, healing energy was a helluva lot different than what he was used to, but he had a clear vision of it as he made it move through his own body to his hands where it then went to Taryn-Levi's feet. It took a minute before any progress could be seen, but Leland could tell that progress was being made.

"Hey try to be nice to me next time alright? This is the second time today you've been rude to me and I don't think it's right. So can you try to be nicer Tyson? Perhaps I was a little too complain-y about the damages done, but that's my body with the injuries that I'll have to fix when I get it back. And normally you should be able to limit how much morphine you can get, but I can understand that you don't know the finer workings of my body so that's fine...just, be careful a bit more?" Ethan said as he followed Tyson to Jason, making sure he was going to be heard.

Levi approached Leland-Brian and Taryn as the former was using Brian's healing powers to fix the damage done to her...his body. He was concerned for the well being of both Taryn and his own body. Kneeling down beside Taryn, Levi watched with curiosity as the wounds on his body's legs and feet began to vanish. Although the gesture felt inherently weird, he put his hand on Taryn's shoulder, as a gesture of support if anything else.

Taryn gave in to curiosity and watched as Leland worked to heal her damaged feet. It was one thing to know Brian's body could heal. It was another thing to watch it in progress. And feel it. Taryn frowned as a peculiar sensation went through her feet. It was kind of like that 'pins and needles' feeling. But she also felt something sliding... Taryn narrowed her eyes and watched one of the skewered areas fill with something sort of white and then red. 'Bone? Bone and muscle. Oh, that's gross.' Taryn felt a hand come to rest on her shoulder and fought the urge to flinch. Careful not to move her legs Taryn turned her head to look at Levi.

"Oh. Hey." she said. "I um..." she glanced down and her sentence trailed off into a sigh. 'I'm sorry.' Taryn thought. "How are you?" she asked Levi quietly.
