Brialex oversaw the healing process and for his credit, Leland was doing well. Taryn held strong and it looked to be a successful heal. "All right, Jacko, can you do her head now? That should be pretty low risk, a walk in the park compared to the foot."

Levi managed a grin. "I'm the one who should be asking you that," he replied. He noticed that Taryn seemed...uncomfortable during the healing process. Completely understandable; feeling one's muscle and bone regenerate and realign could not be the most pleasant feeling on Earth. A quick glance at the macabre spectacle confirmed Levi's suspicions. To an extent, he felt that the extent of Taryn's injuries were his fault.

Victor was supposed to be his problem, and his problem only, but the demonic British apparition always found a way to drag the people Levi cared about down with him. "...and I'm sorry about...Victor," he added quietly, clenching his other hand into a fist. "I should have known he was going to be a problem. I shouldn't have assumed he was out of the picture. I should have warned you".

"Really? You'll go through with it? Awesome! People usually don't go through with my plans." Marrissa answered excitedly with a smile as Garrus-Tyrell positively replied to her idea.

Marrissa's mouth then formed emitted a small chuckle as Tyson-Ethan urgently approached her and Jason-Garrus as his visor resembled a angry ticker, the laugh then quieting as Ethan-Jason approached behind behind Tyson. Jason came in between the two, stopping Ethan before anything could happen.

"Ethan, Ethan, calm down. You know how Tyson is. Abrasive. Even more so, he's hurt. I'm sure being attacked by some random guy in tight red armor (and losing, no less) would put anyone on edge." Jason-Garrus explained, Marrissa nodding in compliance. He then turned towards Tyson.

"And that 'freak' you were referring to was Takashi Jinrou; our brother. Well, half-brother, really...we all have different mothers...anyway, he was originally after me, but I guess after several attempts to end my life, he eventually began to take his anger out on anyone who I was associated with...except other family members, obviously." He replied to Tyson-Ethan.

'Should be pretty low risk?' Taryn turned to look at Brian, currently residing in Alex' body, and frowned. She felt that one's head should be at least a tad more difficult to 'fix' that one's foot. She felt compelled to ask him to clarify just how much of a 'walk in the park' this would be. However Taryn became distracted from questioning the healer when Levi began to apologize. 'Wait..what?' she turned to focus on him.

"Hey." Taryn countered softly once Levi finished speaking. "I assumed the same thing. It's not like I didn't know about him." But their mistake that could have been fatal. Taryn shook her head. "I'm sorry I couldn't control him. He was just...strong." Taryn's eyes lost focus and her gaze tracked to the side as she recalled her struggle for control. For some reason she had a hard time remembering everything that followed. There were pieces missing. She recalled flashes of events, but that was all. 'That's odd.' Taryn assumed it was a side effect of being controlled. But it was still...kind of scary.

"I don't think it'll necessarily be 'low risk' since it's the brain I'm working on, but as long as I'm delicate with it it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Hopefully it's nothing major either," Leland-Brian said as he slowly stood up from his kneeling position, stretching quickly before placing his hands over Taryn-Levi's head.

"Hmm, doesn't seem to be anything major thank goodness. Now keep still Taryn," Leland told her again, taking another deep breath as he concentrated again on moving his (well Brian's) energy.

----

"Hey I wasn't going to do anything Jason, just telling him a few things. That's all," Ethan replied, waving his hands slightly to show that he had meant nothing by following Tyson to make sure he listened.

"Anyways," Garrus-Tyrell said as he walked over to talk to Marrissa, "You need to be fast with this, can't dilly-daddle. My son should be in the infirmary right now, and hopefully you won't have any problem with anyone. If you have questions I'd say you should ask them now before you head in."

Levi frowned. As he was about to reply, Leland-Brian placed his hands on Taryn's head and did a bit of healing. Once Leland finished, he cleared his throat. "I know," he replied quietly. "But it seems that he's been...weakened. Victor has never been incapacitated that quickly before. You know for a fact that it takes a lot to take him down, yet Tyson managed to knock him out with a sucker punch," he said, his voice trailing as he drifted into a moment of thought. After a second, he spoke. "Since Tyson knocked Victor out, it's going to take him a little bit of time to come to and muster the strength to take over again. I'm afraid we might not have very long. We need Mordtoten to switch us back into our own bodies," he said with a growing sense of urgency. "I can handle Victor. I just don't want you in the crossfire".

Tyson getting fed up with Ethan turned to look at him. "
Code:
Rude twice? First time I ignore you to make sure Rowan wasn't going to bring down a house on everyone with my powers. That isn't rude. That's making sure our team doesn't die off in an instant. Second time I have to fight a person who's in their real body with full control over their powers who likes to kill people for fun and will even fight people over his right to kill them. I carry a teammate who's immobilized back to the ship and the first thing I hear are complaints. You should have been happy anyone came back alive. That's fucking rude!
" Came across the visor one word at a time to make sure Ethan could read all of it.

Tyson was listening to Jason the whole time. "
Code:
Since he's your brother, I won't hunt him down. But if he shows his face to me and gives me a reason, I'll put him down.
Tyson then moved a little so his visor was visible to Marissa.
Code:
Takashi said to be home by dark and to tell the Union he had to head home and will see them later.

Marrissa nodded at Tyson's message before trotting from the ship, asking for her brother to "wish her luck" as she ran out. Once she was gone, Jason-Garrus turned towards Tyson-Ethan.

"Well, you could try to hunt him down. Don't know how that would work out due to what just happened. I'm sure your actual body doesn't have morphine injectors. That, and by the way things look, he was probably just toying with you." Jason-Garrus responded in a casual tone, taking note of the damage his sinister brother left on the cyborg's body.

Meanwhile, inside the Legion of Doom Promenade...

Marrissa speed walked her way towards the lounge, slowing down and exhaling slowly before stepping through its perfectly architectural doorway.

"Hey guys, i'm back. Taki decided to leave for the day after not seeing my brother. So...yeah." She said somewhat-nervously to no one in particular before walking into the infirmary. As soon as she got closer to Renton and The Countess, she began to coo and babble at the little baby, her blade-like claws dulled as she began to pet and pinch him.

"Awww, looks like someone got a little boo boo!" Was one of the things she said to the frightened boy before looking towards The Countess.

"Hey, you don't mind if I take him off your hands for a bit, do you?" She asked sincerely before going back to him, playfully tickling him in the stomach.

Major Crime muttered something in reply whilst Nuke practically yelled at Marrissa to leave him alone since he was 'concentrating on beating Major Crime' in Guitar Hero, practically in a frenzy as his fingers tapped away on the toy guitar.

----

"A little boo-boo? Hun this poor baby has a lot more injuries than that. There was some glass in his hand, some scratches on his chest, and a big ol' bruise on his forehead from Donovan. Now I know that all those stories Leland told me about him were actually true! God I just want to go home..." The Countess said as she watched Marrissa play with the toddler, "Honestly I'm not sure if you should just take him around for a little bit. I have half a mind to take the baby myself and just wait at home until his parents return, than give the kid back then. As if I'm going to leave him with that monster, and I mean Major Crime not that doctor over there who just keeps staring...like some sort of nocturnal animal, man it's creepy."

"Oh, no, it's cool. You go home. I could stay here and watch him until the heroes get back. It's not like I have anything else to look forward to when I get back to HQ. Besides, if anyone shows any type of hostility, then I could easily take them on. I'm no stronger than Major Crime, so i'm sure i'll be able to handle myself." She said confidently, flexing her thin arms as if she were a bodybuilder.

"I imagine there would be a big fight though if they do come back. Probably a huge one after seeing what everyone did to the place. And when that does happen this poor little fella is going to be caught up in it," The Countess replied, picking up the whimpering baby.

"Besides do you even know how to take care of a child? Feed him, change his diaper if need be, keep Donovan away if he decides he wants to teach the kid how to use a gun or some crazy thing like that? I could leave the kid with you, but that would go against my better judgment. And I'd rather this kid not have to suffer because I decided to go home instead of keep watch of him. And would you stop staring!? It's starting to piss me off!" she snapped at the Doctor, who crawled to one of the overturned infirmary beds and hid under one of the blankets.

Marrissa gave off a silent sigh as The Countess kept up her defenses.

"Sheesh. She's persistent. Makes me wonder how she's such a villain if she cares so much about little Renty." The young Keyholder thought before returning to the conversation with a rebuttal.

"Of course I know how to take care of a child! I've babysat a few times back at The Key Corps. And these were baby Keyholders that i'm talking about. They're way more aggressive and active than regular babies due to the sudden spike in energy that usually appears around 18 months. I'm sure I was bit of a firecracker when I was a baby too. Besides, as a Keyholder, i'm expected to carry a child when I come of age (y'know to keep the The Keys alive...anyways...), I can think of this as a little training for the future." She answered in defense, showing a simple smile.

"Sorry, didn't mean anything about it! Just kinda on edge after the whole day. I guess you can take care of the little red velvet cupcake here, though can I ask you for some help dragging my husband to our ship? It's over by front parking area, out of the front entrance and all of that. I'd rather ask you then the two boys in the lounge, they'd be too busy playing their stupid game anyways," The Countess asked, keeping ahold of Renton as she looked over to where the Doctor could be heard crying.

"Keep watch of that guy too. He's probably some sort of racist, pedo freak," she whispered to Marrissa.

Marrissa nodded, looking in the Doctor's general direction as she picked up the Count. Her face twisted into a scared/confused/angry grimace as she looked into his glasses, staring into his soulless, void-like eyes. She grimaced further as he silently (yet ominously) kept his eyes glued to her.

"The void stares back!" She thought in fright before quickly swiveling to face the Countess.

"Ok, yeah, let's go. That guy is hella creepy. Makes me wonder how those heroes can bare to keep him around." She replied in disgust, tossing the Count over her shoulder with little trouble before walking out of the Infirmary.

"Well it's a hell of a lot easier to keep a head still then it is anything else," Brialex explained. "As long as it's lying down anyway. For other people it's much less of a challenge to keep their melon from rolling around than it is a leg twitching. My powers don't really designate organs as challenges, it will just basically restore them to their original condition. That's why I can't bring people back from the dead. I can't jump start people's brains, I can only make sure that if there is action there than the brain is going to be in top working order. Otherwise it's only good for sitting on a doctor's shelf."

The Countess quickly agreed and walked out, giving one more confused glance at the Doctor as he started to make squirrel noises from under the sheet. She led Marrissa through the hallway and into the lounge, where the two men were in the middle of an intense fake-guitar playing battle. "My husband and I are leaving you two, just letting you know and stuff," she told them, getting no response in reply, "Men, am I right Marrissa? Or at least most men. Gah sometimes I hate working with them."

"Uh Takashi's sister, do we have to take you home or anything? I mean, we'd rather not babysit," Major Crime said as he paused the game to look at them.
"She's old enough to take care of herself Donovan, and she's even going to babysit little Snuffleupagus here so that he can stay the hell away from you!" The Countess replied, looking over to the fridge when she heard banging coming from inside, "How is that thing not an icicle at this point?"
"Who knows? Just stay the hell away from it, I don't want it coming back out. So bye then I guess Evelyn, we'll be here for awhile," Major Crime responded, turning back to the game.
"Yeah until I beat you!" Nuke said as he unpaused the game and went back to note-hitting.
"The day you do is the day I beat you with this plastic guitar," Major Crime replied, letting The Countess and Marrissa leave with no more problems.

After the short trek to the ship, and the exchange of the Count for Renton, Marrissa looked on as the Countess took off, waving goodbye as they flew into the sunset. After they were out of view, Marrissa took off in her own special way, bolting towards the Merriweather, clutching the baby ever so tightly.

"She almost had me Renton, but don't worry, because I got you now, and you're gonna see your parents again! ...Phew, this is a long ways from the ship. Why is this place so big if it only used to be a bank?" She said in between breaths as she finally caught sight of the ship. She let out a sigh off relief as the made her way onto the deck.

"I'm back...and I have Renton..." She announced, breathing heavily.

"Oh god thanks so much Marrissa!" Garrus-Tyrell told her quickly as he rushed over to hold his child. Renton simply gave an odd look at this person who was hugging him tightly before he started to wail loudly, tears falling down once more as he cried for his 'momma' and 'dada'.

A sad look formed on Garrus-Tyrell's face as he looked at his son before walking over to Tommy-Lillian and handing Renton to him. Renton seemed to calm down slightly as he buried his face into his mother's body's shoulder.

"Well at least we can go now. Also, Taryn you're good to go and pilot us back to Mordtoten's place," Leland-Brian said cheerfully after successfully healing Taryn.

"What the hell..."
Tommy held Renton at arms length for a second, not exactly comfortable with the new level of affection he was getting from Renton. He slowly brought Renton in close and held him to his chest, while Renton gurgled happily while Tommy petted his back. This, is, unsettling.

"Ya, I demand we switch back fast before this guy gets hungry."

"Oh thank god my child is finally away from that fucking madman." Lillian-Katie said before hearing Tommy's statement.

"He's been on bottles for a while now and we've started switching him over to semi-solid food now. God I remember trying that shit at the shower, tasted nothing like brussle sprouts."

---------------

"Yes, now that that pearl of wisdom has been given to us by my dearest friend, what now?" Richard-Rowan asked.
