Levi recoiled when Steven lashed out at the holographic woman (at least, it looked like a hologram). Alex took charge of the situation and restrained the inebriated man with strategically placed ice. With Steven restrained, he relaxed, but didn't take his gaze from the woman made of light. It wasn't a hallucination, Levi was sure of that; he could feel the faint electromagnetic disturbance caused by its presence. The woman seemed to only notice Steven, which implied that perhaps she was a product of his mind. Maybe I'm not the only one with things in my head, he wondered.

Richard and Lillian both were surprised and wished they had actual powers once they saw Steven slash out at the cushion.

"Calm down man, I think things are just getting a bit heated. Let's just drop it for now at least until we can get out of a confined space alright?" Richard said.

"I think I agree with Richard, someone could get seriously injured if you don't get yourself under control." Lillian chimed in.

"Alright enough! Everyone just relax. Steven you need to really calm the hell down right now. If you want to be alone to deal with whatever is going on with you then head back to the Promenade once the vehicle stops. And you better get your ass in shape or else you might just not be a good fit for the Society. If you understand that then Alex can get rid of the ice restraining you," Garrus said sternly, about to continue on before suddenly hitting his head against the glass when Ethan made a quick turn to park.

"Ah! Jesus Ethan, be more carefu- wow I'm... I'm actually somewhat surprised you parked so...well," Garrus told him with genuine surprise as everyone started to get out, noticing the perfect parking Ethan had done with the limo. Ethan beeped cheerfully, heading on inside with the others as Garrus turned to Steven. "It's your choice what you want to do, but we're not going to have things like what happened in there happening here," Garrus said to Steven before heading on inside with the others.

As he entered he noticed that the hostess was quickly taking them to a large, round table that they had over in the corner of the cafe. She seemed extremely ecstatic at having them and handed out the menus, telling that their waitress would be coming over soon before heading in the back ('Probably to tell everyone we're here,' Garrus thought).

Steven eventually caught his breath, his armor slowly vanishing. He seemed to regain his composure quickly, brushing the dust off his suit. "My apologies. I lost my temper." was all he said, and his voice was straining to remain calm. The girl smiled and slowly faded away.

Alex sighed as people looked at her as she pasted whispering to the people sitting next to them that Alex Masterson and Richard Masterson had walked into the cafe'. Before Alex knew it a little girl has walked from her family up to Alex and blushed some. "Ummmm Ms. Masterson can I..... have your autograph?" the little girl asked looking at her feet.

Alex smiled some and nodded some.l "Yes you can." Alex said kneeling down at to the girls eye level. "Eric could you please make a camera?" she asked Eric giving him her phone knowing it was in good hands.

Eric nodded and make a digital camera that acted like a Polaroid. He took a picture with Alex and the little give and then changed her phone back handing both the phone and the photo to Alex.

Alex took the little girls name and wrote down something for her and smiled handing it to her as she ran off giggling and smiling wide. Alex took a set and looked over the menu and though of what she wanted. "Hmmmmmm coffee." she said the lack of sleep catching up to her and she looked over at the little girl then at Richard and sighs. "I took a test this morning." she said to him.

"What kind of test?" He asked back, already knowing the answer but still wanting the affirmation. In the time it took him to speak he had already taken a seat. Lillian was not too long behind him, already having ordered a coffee before even hitting the seat.

Rowan had to smile at the girl plucking up her courage to talk to Alex. He had had no idea that the latter could talk to people if they popped up out of the blue like that; he couldn't himself. Unexpected socialising wasn't part of his skill-set - he figured that he would probably freeze on the spot if confronted by someone when he didn't anticipate it, be it a swarm of reporters or one little child. Though perhaps it would be easier if he were in someone else's shoes; it was all about putting on an act in some cases.

That reminded him that he wanted to talk to Alex, although the subject matter could most certainly wait until everyone was awake. And he kind of wanted to discuss the matter in some form of privacy, rather than in a public place such as the café or the Promenade's lounge. Putting it out of his mind for the moment, he mimicked Alex and took up a menu. As with Alex, his eyes went straight to the coffee.

[hr]

Katie, on the other hand, was looking more towards the food-related parts of the menu. Their French toast certainly sounded appealing, so she decided to go with that. Looking over to Leland, who was seated beside her, she leaned over and asked quietly, "So, what d'you reckon? See anything you like?"

"A pregnancy test, took one just this morning. Sadly, as I said nothing but we still have time to try." Alex said looking over the menu not sure what she felt like having.

Eric couldn't help but listen to Alex and Richard talk. "So you two are trying to have a kid?" Eric said looking over his own menu.

"Yes Eric we're trying but nothing yet." Alex said decided on a Belgium waffle with strawberries and whip cream on top with a side of eggs, hashbrowns and sausage.

After working in the Society for three years his team-mate's violent outbursts didn't really phase him anymore. He was more then content to let the other handle Steven while he took a nap in the Limo. Tommy, in his sleep deprived state had decided to order ten shots of Expresso and twenty sides of bacon. When his order arrived he began pounding back shots like they were whisky and shoveling fork-full after fork-full of bacon into his both.

" You two should get a fertility statue." Tommy suggested through a mouthful of bacon which he proceeded to wash down with an Expresso shot.

It was a bit unnerving, hanging out with people who had random people asking for autographs. Especially considering he was briefly that person in full appearance. It was a lot for Brian to take in. Celebrity had eluded him back home. Sure he was one of the best players on the school hockey team, and he met Al MacInnis once, when he was buying a hammer. But being part of an actual posse, like on those HBO shows? Mindbending.

Brian decided to focus on getting some food. He perused the menu trying to see if anything would catch his eye. "Waitress?" he asked calling the girl who had been slowly delivering food over.

The cute waitress came over immediately. Any request from the Masterson table would be getting full priority. "Yes? What can I do for you, sir?"

"Ah don't call me sir, makes me feel weird," Brian told her. "I just wanted to know, the maple syrup that you guys use on your food, what quality is it? Are we talking store-bought or the good stuff?"

"We actually have a direct line with a producer from Quebec, Canada," the waitress informed Brian. "Nothing but the finest here!"

"Beauty," he was a lot more enthusiastic about the food now. "All right then, I'll take a stack of the blueberry pancakes there, with some bacon on the side and....I'll grab an OJ to start with, uh..." he glanced at the name tag on the shirt so he could start going above just calling this girl 'Waitress'. "...Kayla."

"Of course, I'll get that for you right away sir." Kayla took off to the kitchen to deliver this latest order.

Brian turned back towards some of the other guys. "She's not bad looking, eh?"

Levi entered the restaurant and took his seat at the table. The obviously excited waitress gave the group their menus and quickly skipped away to the back room. So much for subtlety, he thought as a young girl approached Alex asking for an autograph. The girl was visibly shy and reluctant, but Alex obliged and even took a picture with her. Levi smiled and looked back at his menu when the girl left. "Still trying to grasp the idea that we have fans," he said as he debated between two meal options. By the time the waitress returned with Brian's order, Levi was confident that he would make up his mind.

"I haven't thought of that, though it would actually have to be magical and not just something somebody whittled in their spare time. As for the fame you get used to it, soon enough people asking you for autographs will be the least of your worries. Now the people that will stalk you to the ends of the Earth or the freaks that want something odd are the ones you need to watch out for." Richard replied now fully awake before looking over the menu he had been handed.

"You know what? I'm not going to bother with something small, too much has happened to just have some tea and a piece of fruit."

"Why not treat yourself? Hell if you need an excuse, call it a reward for not commenting on the waitress." Lillian replied as she also browsed the menu.

"I knew I was forgetting something, she is rather cute." He said with a laugh as he was punched in the arm by Lillian before he continued.

"But cute only gets one so far, besides I already have more than cute."

"Nice save."

"I thought so."

Once they were finished they called the waitress back and Richard ordered a combination breakfast and some decaf with cream and sugar while Lillian ordered waffles with a straight black coffee.

Tyson sat quietly throughout the ride after the apology knowing that if he said anything he'd only likely piss off and aggravate Alex or Steven. Still he felt that Steven needed to get a better handle on his powers and his drinking and that Alex shouldn't have pressed on it at this point in time. Things had seemed to die down as they arrived.

As they entered the cafe any hope that Tyson had that things would be subtle by choosing this place were completely crushed as the waitress could smell an extremely large tip coming from the richer members of the group and was clearly doing everything she could in order to secure it. Next the little girl asking for the autograph. That wouldn't have bothered Tyson as much except it turned into spectacle as soon as Eric transformed Alex's phone into a polaroid camera. Next the talk of trying to get pregnant and failing in the middle of the cafe. These people clearly know nothing of subtlety. I'll have to make a dash out the backdoor of this place if paparazzi show up because of these people.

Tyson quickly placed his order of a steak omelet, whole wheat toast, bacon, and a chocolate milkshake right after Richard and Lillian placed there orders before Kayla headed back. "I won't try anything Dr. Feelgood. She's clearly out of your league." Tyson directed towards Brian after he watched Kayla head back into the kitchen.

Steven read his menu quietly, pretending not to notice Alex's conversation about getting pregnant. "Excuse me, miss," he asked the waitress, "Would you happen to have any Scotch? I don't quite feel like a meal right now." He spoke with a calm voice and a smile that didn't seem to reach his eyes.

"Jeez, thanks for the vote of confidence, man," Brian told Tyson after he received his assessment of his chances with Kayla. "We'll see, I've pulled a couple of 9s before back home."

Soon after his declaration, Kayla returned carrying a tray of food. She started setting out the plates to the people who had ordered, ending with Brian. "And there you go. Hope you all enjoy!"

"Thank you very much, Kayla." Brian answered as she returned to the back. He went back to Tyson, "I don't know man, I think I could pull it off. Inside info would help though. You're here all the time, right? You know anything about her? Hear anything?"

Jason kept relatively quiet as he and his fellow heroes ate and talked around him. Usually a conversant, the Keyholder figured it would be best if he just stayed quiet; eyes shifting suspiciously as he quickly ate the bacon, egg, and cheese omelette he ordered.

"Why're you on edge all of a sudden?" Erebus asked

"Never know who could be watching Ero. It's the only reason why I haven't been leaving the Promenade grounds lately, unless of course we were to go on a mission of sorts. I already know that Mar most likely gossiped about me staying at the Promenade, so I'm quite sure that they put me back on high alert at the Corps. I'm kinda surprised they didn't launch a full scale attack on the place yet. Good thing I usually have my face covered when we're confronted by the news, or we'd probably have people asking for my autograph too." Jason thought in reply as he took a sip from his coffee cup, continuing to nervously scan the diner.

Garrus couldn't help but roll his eyes at Alex and the little girl and Brian's flirting, picking up his menu that the hostess brought and taking a look at it. After barely opening it up he noticed that practically everyone else already had food down in front of them and were eating away. He couldn't help but look with slight confusion at the very crowded table that weren't exactly being quiet in this small restaurant. After looking back down on the plate Leland accidentally hit him in the should with his elbow, apologizing quickly stating that there wasn't that much room.

"It's alright. I'll just move over to one of the smaller tables, that way I can eat in peace and quiet anyways," Garrus replied before grabbing his menu and picking up Renton in his high-chair and taking them over to a small table in the opposite corner of the restaurant. As he placed Renton's chair down a young waitress came over to take his order.

"Hello there, my name is Melissa and I'll be your waitress for today," she said, putting down a children's menu and some crayons for Renton to play with.
"Hi, sorry about that big mess over there with everyone else. Wouldn't want to have to take that many orders," Garrus chuckled, telling her that he would like a coffee and the steak and eggs breakfast.
"I understand that, I don't even know how all that food got out. Alright so I have your order, and what would the little guy like?" Melissa asked, writing down oatmeal and fruit after Garrus took a quick look at the children's menu and saying she'd get right onto that. Once she left he started to draw with his son before looking up and noticing Ethan standing next to the table and pointing at the chair.

"Uhhh, yeah you can sit here if that's what you want. The waitress already took my order though," Garrus mumbled, trying to understand what Ethan was saying when he started to beep in response as he sat down (he was saying that Leland had already helped him order and that he had just asked the waitress to bring it over here instead). With that Ethan picked up a crayon and started to draw with Renton, the boy quickly getting over his initial fear of Ethan and going back to drawing.

----

"Well I'll be getting-" Leland started before half the table was suddenly filled with food, "My god what manner of sorcery is this?" He doubt most of his food would even fit on the table with the sheer number of plates on it at the current time (considering he had ordered what could be considered a buffet of sugary items). He was then tapped on the shoulder by Ethan who, after explaining that he didn't like all the hustle-and-bustle of everything at the table, wanted him to explain that he would be moving tables to the waitress.

'That doesn't sound like half a bad idea,' Leland thought after telling the waitress, turning to Katie and asking, "Do you want to move to one of the booths? Or we can stay here with the others, not too big of a deal to me."

Katie thought over Leland's proposition, taking into account the plates already on the small table around which almost everyone was seated. "Hmmm... okay, we can move if some others are gonna come with us," she answered. "If not, that's cool too."

[hr]

"Um... you guys are moving? How many of us are left here..." Rowan mused aloud, counting the number of people still at the table. "Yeah, I'll shift as well. I dunno if there'll be space for all of us; we may have to split up over three or four tables," he added, looking around. A couple of the booths seemed larger than the tables; since they were unoccupied, they were the optimal solution.

Levi received his order as the others got theirs. He had decided on a breakfast plate with pancakes, bacon, and eggs with coffee. In order to down the brown liquid, he had to saturate it with sweetener. By the time he doctored the drink to his liking, it was more accurate to say that he was drinking a cup of sweetener with a hint of coffee. Taking a sip of his overly-sweetened coffee, Levi flinched at the distinct coffee taste he always associated with dirt. He then took the table's container of maple syrup and poured a healthy amount over his pancakes before taking a bite. Levi nodded approvingly as he swallowed and took another sip of coffee. "You know, I'm starting to think this is a nice change of pace," he commented as he bit a piece off his bacon.

"A booth it is then!" Leland replied as he grabbed his apple juice and told the waitress they'd be over at one of the booths. He took a seat at the large booth, watching as Melissa the waitress (who had rushed over before the other waitress and was a little nervous) came over and put a few menus on the table for those who hadn't ordered.

----

After a few minutes of waiting Garrus' table had food on it, all of the occupants eating away. Ethan did his best to get Renton to eat his oatmeal but the child was having none of that, instead grabbing the spoon and trying to feed himself only to get the majority of the oatmeal on his spoon all over his face.

"I'll have to wash your face when we get back Renton, or perhaps I can just take you to the bathroom here and do it," Garrus muttered, trying his best not to look at Ethan eating (it wasn't something he particularly liked to watch). "So...uh how's the food?" Garrus asked as he took a bite of his steak before taking the spoon away from Renton.
"Beep beep beep beep bep boop," Ethan replied, looking up from his food for only a moment before going back to eating.
"Yeah I don't think this conversation will work out," Garrus responded after some silence, sipping his coffee.
