"I don't know, I mean, was stuff really that noticeable back at base? You don't think just saw that, and then, hunted us down or something? Cause of the wreckage? Or maybe the limo does stand out, you know? And yeah, I never got treated like that. Even famous people back home, we didn't do that too them, all in their face while they're eating, eh? We at least waited until they were up and moving before asking for an autograph or something, you know? It's just, that was a mess. Hope Kayla isn't too weirded out by that to return my text." Brian rambled on at Katie as he got comfortable in the limo.

"Yeah... yeah, that was a mess," Katie agreed. "Oh, and good luck with the whole Kayla thing; hope that works out for you. She seems like a nice person, from the couple of minutes that I've seen." Then something hit her. Leland was still in the bathroom, last she had seen. And she definitely didn't want to push through a horde of paparazzi and crazy fans to rescue her boyfriend; he could get out in his own way. "Ah, crap. We left Leland in there. Hopefully he'll just teleport out of the café and maybe back to the Promenade."

"Thanks Katie," Brian replied. "I thought she seemed nice, we'll have to see. And yeah, Leland looks like he'll be all right. Sure he might not have appear to be the brightest toonie in the cash tray, but he can handle himself I think. He managed to do what I said pretty well, and I'm not that good at teaching anyone anything, you know?"

Richard left a tip about the same size as Alex before he and Lillian calmly made their way out the back and got into the waiting limo.

"Always nice to see her I must say. Perhaps I should invite her to my birthday." Richard quipped.

"You do that and I will kill you Richard."

Jason quickly found himself in the limo, a look of disgust upon his maw as he slammed the door behind him.

"I knew some shit like this was gonna happen. Either the news people show up, or the Keyholders do. And truth-be-told, it would've been better to see some Keys instead of that fucking news lady. Also, who's bright idea was it to go to a fucking diner in the first place? Did they not know that a superhero team, (complete with two multi-millionaire business owners and a goddamn rock star, no less) was gonna cause major attention? Why did I even come along? Shit, I'm getting worked up..." Jason ranted exasperatedly, head in his hands as he began to take deep breaths, trying his best to keep himself calm.

"Well, you were hungry weren't you?" Erebus replied, Jason pausing slightly as he heard that.

"Yeah...I was. That omelet was pretty good..." He admitted, sitting back on the leather cushioned seat of the limo.

Garrus gave Ethan the go ahead now that everyone had gotten inside the limo, the cyborg putting the limo into drive and about to drive off before stopping when some glass was broken behind them and Leland jumped out of the restaurant's bathroom. As he picked himself up a ton of hands bolted out of the broken window and high-pitched screaming was heard. Leland saw the limo and yelled for them to wait up, diving inside before the door was closed behind him and yelling drive to Ethan.

Ethan obliged and floored it, everything falling back as the limo zoomed off. Leland took a few deep breaths before looking at his leg, saying, "Those crazy fans. I mean, I love them but sheesh...I think one of them bit me."
"Well we're safe now, so yeah," Garrus said, not exactly sure what to say after that. Instead he focused on watching Ethan drive through the streets of Nova City.

Taryn released her death-grip on the seat belt of the limo and sighed. "That was interesting." she said quietly, echoing Levi's earlier comment. She was silent for a moment as she mulled over the reporter's words. And tried not to think about how fast Ethan was driving.

'Electric couple...well it does sort of fit. I guess.' Taryn smiled. Then she laughed quietly. 'It could be worse. It could definitely be worse.' She wondered why she had a fan-base. The technopath glanced toward the driver's seat. "Surely it's not?no it couldn't be." Taryn shifted in her seat so she could face Levi.

"Thanks for taking care of the questions." she told him with a small, grateful smile. "Did you know about the fan-base?" Taryn asked Levi quietly.

Levi flashed a smile in response to Taryn. "Don't mention it," he responded quietly. "And as for your seemingly colossal fanbase? I had no idea it existed until today. I'll admit, it's pretty...weird". He looked briefly out the window and saw the Nova City traffic flying by dangerously fast. Is Requiem even driving within the speed limit? Levi wondered. Facing Taryn again, he couldn't help but smile again. "So...we're apparently the 'Electric Couple'. Not the most original name, but I have to admit it describes us fairly enough..." he said with a faint laugh.

Taryn nodded and held her left hand in front of her with her fingers spread. She let a few harmless sparks travel between her fingers before re-absorbing the electricity and closing her hand into a loose fist.

"It is, and it does." she replied. "I'll have to see if I can find any information about this 'fan base' when we get back to the Promenade. Though..." Taryn trailed off, then grinned briefly. "I'm not really sure if I want to know what these supposed 'fans' think." Taryn wasn't sure how to feel about having fans. It wasn't something she was used to dealing with.

She reached toward Levi and idly ran her hand down the sleeve of his shirt. 'I do like this color.' she noted silently.

"Seems like you should have a fan-base..." Taryn muttered while still looking down at Levi's sleeve.

Steven sat quietly in the limo, as far from everyone as he could sit, nursing a bottle of gin. 'Why did she show up in front of everyone?' he thought to himself. 'She hardly ever does that. And this is the first time she spoke in front of anyone.' He was getting worried. Things were slipping out of his control.

"Me? Well, if you have a massive base of fans, then it makes it more likely that I have one perhaps..." he said with a shrug. "...but I wouldn't count on it. I'm nowhere near interesting enough," Levi added with a grin. He was a bit curious himself as to what Taryn's "fans" have been saying about her. Presumably they had a website or something.

"Yes, you are." Taryn countered softly. 'At least in my opinion.' she added silently. The limo turned and Taryn looked out the window. As she did so she caught a glimpse of a street sign as it flew past. A street sign that she recognized. 'We're almost to the Promenade. That was fast.' Taryn thought. She settled her gaze back on Levi. "Well even if you don't have a fan-base. You'll always have one fan." she said with an amused grin.

Ethan made the sharp turn into the Promenade's front parking area (once again throwing those inside around) and pulled up to the very front of the Promenade before stopping the car and letting everyone out. He was told that he could simply park the limo in the front parking area instead of having to drive to the parking structure in the back, and he quickly did so. His first experience driving wasn't too bad in his own opinion, cheerfully turning on the limo's alarm before heading inside with the others.

The cab pulled up to the Promenade and Tyson saw the others in front of the building heading inside as the limo pulling away to park. Tyson asked the cab driver the cost and got out of the cab practically before it stopped and handed the cab driver his dues. As Tyson approached the group as they entered the lounge only one thing was going threw his mind and he was going to let it out.

"What the fuck was that? I say a quiet place were we can eat without a lot of attention being drawn and before I can finish a fucking meal I have to run away from the press so my picture doesn't make it onto the news. Would it have been impossible to refrain from using your powers and to continue on without drawing any attention to ourselves? Do you people enjoy having things like eating a fucking meal a challenge. I'm friends with the owner and his family. I bet half of that place got destroyed because of the lot of you? Do any of you have a clue what that makes me look like?" Tyson shouted not really having a direction with the rant as it was like a whirlwind of anger was coming out of him.

Tommy looked around, with a quizzical look on his face. Before looking back at Tyson.

"Um, Tyson, no-one used there powers before the Newsmen showed up, and with the exception of Rowan, and maybe Leland, no one used their powers afterwards. And as for drawing attention to ourselves, well take stock of the company you're keeping here. Two of the worlds richest people, the chef of a new trendy restaurant, a rock and roll sensation, someone with a fan base that dwarfs Harry Potter, and everyone who isn't on that list? Has still had a hand in saving the world, on at least two occasions for some senior members. Of course we get media attention where ever we go, they're celebrities except not completely useless. You should have realized that would happen when you suggested it."

And as for the restaurant, I think they'll be OK, because Taryn's fans alone will probably keep them completely booked for the next five years."

As the limo came to a stop, Levi smiled at Taryn's comment. He took her hand in his and stared into her eyes. "And you know what? That's all I need," he replied softly. Leaning forward, he kissed Taryn gently on the lips. The kiss was brief, but Levi was sure it carried his point across just fine. "Let's get inside," he said after a moment. He opened the door and stepped out of the limo, holding it open for Taryn to exit. When she climbed out, Levi shut the door and followed her back into the Promenade. In no time at all, they reached the Lounge.

Jason walked up to Tommy as he served a rebuttal to Tyson's rant.

"Don't worry man, I'm just as mad a you are. You're not the only one that doesn't need to have their face plastered all over the fucking news. I'm still a wanted man at the Key Corps. Any day now, something's gonna happen, which will result in a bunch of Keyholders busting down those doors, and killing all of us, including me. And something as petty as 'getting jumped by the paparazzi and motherfucking Susan Johnson' will be one of the causes. I really hope nobody watches the morning news..." He replied to Tyson, taking breaths in between sentences to keep his cool.

"Actually, I'm kinda wondering why we even made an attempt to go out. We know the risks, and we know the prices that'll have to be paid as well. We should've just went with my 'catering' idea. At least then, none of this would've happened in the first place." He added intriguingly, still sharing the same angry expression Tyson wore.

Alex yawned and stepped out of the limo and headed right to her and Richard's room. Before she headed of she looked back at Richard. "Would you care you join me in a nap?" Alex asked him.

"I'll join you Alex." Eric said fully meaning it as her flirted with Alex.

Alex blinked and looked at Eric confused as hell. "Umm no thank you Eric I think I'll be fine." she said looking at him then walked away.

Eric sighed and headed to the lounge to turn on the TV. "well that didn't work." he said.

"Nah I think I'll head to the lounge myself, still have yet to actually eat anything. May just have to find a place to order out from. Might be unhealthy but at least it won't leave me starving." Richard said, while he wouldn't usually turn down the offer he was extremely hungry and had to find something to eat.

"I'll join you Richard. Hell I may just have the surrogate family come up with something. Who knows, a traditional Chinese breakfast made by some old friends might do the two of us some good." Lillian said, both of them climbing out of the limo.

"You know Lil, that actually does sound good, in the meantime I'll see about retrieving our personal effects."

"Eric transformed the phone before the news team showed up but that's beside the point. You realize that other celebrities are able to maintain some sense of privacy when they try. When they want to be rushed by paparazzi they go to someplace extremely public, well known for having celebrities, and even potentially have their publicist tip them off. For fuck sakes my face had an attack on identification order and I was still able to walk right in to four CIA facilities without getting noticed. Going to a place very few people know of which most people go to because of the quiet environment, and wouldn't jeopardize it by informing the media, should have been easy to go to without getting mobbed no matter your status.

Also, just because someone shows up somewhere once doesn't mean its always crowded and having a line up. Even if that does happen it just puts a lot more stress and pressure on the staff and owners. Quality starts to drop and employees get fed up and quit. There's also that nice feeling that the restaurant gains from the previous qualities that is sucked away from it." Tyson let out getting extremely annoyed at this.

"But seeing as you find that its so fucking hard, I clearly over estimated most of you. Jason I'm glad you agree with me. However catering is a preplanned thing but if it was known to everyone else that this would have been a massive problem ordering in something would have worked too." Tyson finished actually cooling off a little now.
