Why would you not use Grunt?
Because you would have prefered Okeer, who seemed much more interesting than a tank-bred generic warrior kind of krogan. Or was that just me?

Or they really wanted to fulfill the "suicide" part of the suicide mission.

I think the fact that Okeer dies is what makes him interesting honestly.

And here I was thinking Tali would be most popular. I have to keep reminding myself that it's just a very vocal and insane minority that thinks she is the best thing in the game. Surprised Garrus was most popular, though I guess it's not that shocking. Most people don't hate him as much as me.

If I'm correct, Engineers are also the least played class. Which is a shame, since it is my favorite.

I thought there would have been more female Shepards because, although it might just be me (but this is the internet, so it's never only me) but I though the voice actor was easily the better one.

I have a feeling nobody wants teh gurlz in their games. Especially if under 20% play as fem shep.

A shame. I really like the female Shep's voice better anyway.

Hmm... I made my own face
Played as a male
Played as a soldier
Used Garrus... not that much, actually. All the way through the first game, yes, but Mordin stole me in this one. Then I alternated between Jack and Miranda for some psychic fun.
Let Grunt out
Fully upgraded my ship (I <3 the Normandy!)
No-one died, and I told Cerberus where to shove it.

The stat I'm most interested in isn't there - who did people sleep with? I want to know just how big the Tali craze is!

A good reason to let Grunt out of the tank is if you're playing a Shotgun class (Vanguard). Not only does completing his Loyalty Mission grant you a 10% Shotgun damage upgrade, but it also grants you the discount at Tuchanka where you can buy another 10% upgrade for the Shotgun.

With that said, i usually wait with letting Grunt out of the Tank if I'm playing ME2 from the start without any import (from a fresh install). I always play on Insanity, and by waiting with letting Grunt out, it's possible to get Samara's Loyalty Mission done before the mission on the collector ship. This allows me to pick up Dominate (by picking Morinth, reloading the save and repicking Samara) which on Insanity/Hardcore is a massively useful ability with Advanced Training. You can abuse this ability like no other in the game, and it's very useful against collectors.

Because to be honest, a lot of people get him last for the first recruitment set of missions. Both Garrus and Solus are right there on Omega, no need to travel to get them. But to get Grunt and Jack, you actually need to leave, no point in leaving without two of the four right? Then, when you do leave, the Purgatory is usually in the closer system, leading you to head for Jack next if you're coming from Omega. Leaving Grunt as the fourth in most first playthroughs.

Not to mention that in order to get Grunt, you need to go down to see him and if you are like me and got him third, then you never get the chance to as you're immeaditily dragged into a fight with the collectors and a lot of things happen. Yes, I'm suggesting about a good portion of that 10% may have forgotten Grunt was even there to begin with.

eh,

I played Male first then female however I never liked the Voice of the Female, it reminds me of this:
In a bad way

and I never used grunt....got him killed the first time in the Suicide mission and said "meh".

Miranda and Mordin were the best combination of sidekicks tactically speaking, and I stand by that. /irrelevant geekiness

Actually, I think the reason 10% of players didn't let him out of the tank is probably just that they did whatever they thought would get them renegade points or something.

Needs more Femshep. Or, as I call her, Commander Sexyvoice.

I rolled with Garrus and Grunt. Both of them are tough as nails, and there was wit being thrown around everywhere. Also, the alliteration appealed to me.

I'm kinda surprised Engineers aren't popular...it's just the name isn't that appealing. The class itself is really powerful. The attack drone and AI hacking make a lot of fights really trivial. Add a great weapon (Widow) and you can practically solo many fights.

And Bleh! at the person who didn't like female shep's voice. She's AWESOME.

I usually brought Miranda because her powers are always useful, no matter the mission. I rather liked Kasumi because flashbang is great and I love her stealth backstab power (just fun). Tali and Garrus were my other common choices.

I played as Female Shep, Infiltrator.
Fully upgraded everything.
Got everyone loyal.
Saved everyone at the end of the game.
Blew the place into dust.
And became VERY happy when Lair of the Shadow Broker came out. Liara...

So...I guess that makes me in the minority then? I love this game.

No, look at those stats again. The paragon road was definately the one most travelled.
