Someone calls you 'gay' as an insult, what's your response/thoughts?

Well gay isn't used as a derogatory term for homosexuals here, it's an insult in the same vein as 'you suck' or 'retard'
For example 'You're gay' - 'You suck' - 'You're retarded'
'That's gay.' 'That's retarded.' 'That sucks.'
But whenever it's said to me I take it as another plain insult, but my camp friend always says 'totally' and then acts attracted to said person when he's called gay.

Using gay as an insult is pretty much the most obvious of desperation measures. Actually, using any insult over the internet during a discussion/debate and hoping it will help prove your point is pretty much saying "derp, i has no response". Most people (especially on Youtube) just use that all-purpose "insult" any time they see something they don't agree with.

As soon as I hear that, I pretty must leave the argument. All it says is that they're too stupid to bring anything of value to a discussion.

If someone even says "(insert noun here) is gay" in a TF2 server I play on I tell them to stop it. If they ask why I tell them it can very offensive to the other people on the server. If they say it again its time for me to call the admin to do his job.
If someone says it in real life then I politely say "Why?". Then they say: "Well its gay because....its gay. What else do I have to say?" Something along those lines.

Btw Mr. Archemetis I saw a little art display that included many of your great works. I just find it funny that I saw Archemetis 2 times in one day.
