Someone calls you 'gay' as an insult, what's your response/thoughts?

Honestly, anyone that calls strangers faggots online isn't gonna be impressed by an attempt at sensitivity on the subject, and will probably call you gay if you try to press the issue. SoI reply with something like "At least I can get a man" or "Don't knock it till you've tried it.". It shuts them up 
Laugh to yourself, and continue with your daily depravity. Or whatever normal people do during the day. I can't really admit to knowing much about either, I'm really more of a night person... but I digress, the important thing is no one actually uses that sort of language unless they're:
1. Under the age of 12, and don't even know what sex is.
2. Not capable of coming up with a better insult (on a Sonic video comment none the less! I mean, "furry" would be a good start, but I'm sure better ones exist, like, say, "dog botherer")
3. How to put this nicely... "Special".
4. Trollin'.
5. All of the above.
Personally, I've given up replying to people who post comments on youtube just to disagree with people. I'm not going to get anything out of it, so why bother?

well, i actually am gay, but i don't get that from girls. so if a guy says something along the lines of "you must be a dyke," i usually respond with something about how happy their girlfriends are about that.

And I'm sure as hell not stupid enough to think me saying "THAT'S NOT NICE!" when somebody says the word "gay" will actually do anything to stop the silly use of the word. It's like the word "retarded". It's been completely warped into something it never was.
I'm not gay, and I'm not friends with anybody who is, so I'm sorry if I can't cry a river over the misusage of the word. Honestly I just don't care enough. If the word was more than just a mildly-used insult, or was a hateful slur of some kind I would probably give people strange looks when using the word, but it's neither of those and I'm not an altruist.

When someone say's something like, "your gay" to me as an insult,I dont let it bother me, i just walk away saying "you wish"
