That guy sounds like a ****.

I may not like the wii, but I have enough decency to respect one's gaming choice.

As for me, I had a guy who wouldn't stop trying to get me to not buy Castlevania Lament of Innocence for PS2.

He kept telling me it sucked compared to the rest and that I shouldn't get it, when I had already told him, "I've had this game before, and I loved it, but sold it. I want it back now. This was my favorite Castlevania, so don't give me shit for it."

He then shut up.
What a prick. And I'm going tomorrow to see if he's fired. As for Lament of Innocence, I heard it was bad but three of my friends said the same thing (what you said)and I found it to be decent but no where near bad as the "reviews" said.
Sir, as much as I can respect that you defended your choice he better not be fired. Losing a job involuntarily, especially one you enjoy, at this particular time is not good, at all.

I wouldn't see that as being so bad. That's good actually. He was trying to give you sound purchasing advice based on his experience with the game which is admirable. It's just that you like it. I don't see the problem.

So I look at the Wii selections and debate whether to get this game or that game(You know what I mean right?)
Just out of curiosity, what were the two games you were looking at when he approached you? I'm interested to know if the games themselves might have also had anything to do with why he was being a dickweed.
Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility
and
Little Kings Story
But...those games rule. Good god, this guy doesn't just sound like a dickweed, he also sounds like a fanboy <_<
I got Little Kings Story. 5th best 3rd party purchase ever.

I doubt he would be fired. If he didn't give me attitude toward the questions, I wouldn't be bothered.

Its that I told him already that I loved it, yet he still kept saying that he hated it and I shouldn't buy it.

That wasn't until about 10 minutes after he kept on about it.

Hes sounds a bit nosey buthey, maybe he'd been working a real long shift having to help selll nothing but 360 and ps3 games so it came as a bit of a surprise.

There's this EB games close to where I love and it's fairly new, the guys there are normally pretty nice and know alot about gaming but when it comes to being efficient comrades store managers it aint so good.

Thats quite funny, and I can see how you would get annoyed (maybe not that annoyed, but I digress). I went into my local GAME store not too long ago and bought MGS4, Saints Row 2, Killzone 2 and Kirby Super Star Ultra.

The people in the queue started giving me strange looks. The person behind the counter even said 'Are you buying this as well?', meaning Kirby. To which I replied 'Yes, its a remake of one of the best games on the SNES' Then they just sort of gave me a blank stare, like he was saying 'Whats an SNES?'

I'm sort of used to standing out anyway, even if its for the wrong reasons, so it doesn't really bother me anymore.

Hmm. I personally always try to respect others opinions. I only play PC games myself at the moment. All my college friends have a 360 and always seem to be on it. They keep saying to me "buy a 360 and join the crew. I respond by saying "no, I don't like playing with controllers and I don't bother with achievements. I will consider buying one when there is a controller that works exactly like a mouse and keyboard, and when you lot stop selling every game you buy within 3 weeks to move onto another one."

I had the opposite problem. I had a guy that wouldn't leave me alone because he wanted me to buy Lament of Innocence so badly. -_-
Well....did you get it?
Yeah, I did. It was pretty cheap so I figured I'd give it a shot. It was my first Castlevania and I actually had a really hard time getting into it. I tried it, got bored, and haven't put it in since...
