A lot of endings to animes, TV shows, and movies make me tear up. I cry easily in real life, so no surprise there. But often endings that aren't that sad make me start to cry.

Once, when singing Puff the Magic Dragon.

Granted, this was in primary school (think I was 8ish). But it was not the first time I'd sung it, nor the last time I sung it. Just this one time when the boy stops coming.. wham!... didn't even feel particuarly sad, just started crying (and not in a loud, childish, pay-attention-me way. Just nice, mature, I'm-cutting-an-onion, silent tears (still got busted and embarassed by it though)). Haven't cried since.

Well I used had various emotional breakdowns every so often and I'll cry when that happens. It's like a buildup of hormones and whatever the annoyance of the month was. Anyways that's in the past but recently my friend passed away recently and I didn't expect to cry but it was extremely unexpected. :/ 'tis life

I really just don't cry anymore. I seem to have lost the ability to do so at some point. :l

Not that I don't have massive feels, I certainly do, this song in particular had me a bit emotional when I first heard it:

Amazing how a commercial can have that effect. I proud to be half-thai...

Did someone play Kataaw Shoujo recently?
I did and loved it, but in all honesty I was expecting tears to flow with that game an hour in. Many of man tears were spilled over those nights.

Only thing that made me shed a tear (well, aside from physical pain and depression) as far as I can remember right now is Clannad.
That was definitely aimed at making me cry though.

Yes yes yes a million times YES!!! I cried at Lily's ending, I cried at Hanako's ending, I cried at Rin's ending and I cried at Emi's ending. Manly tears were indeed shed.

I cried at the end of Dr Horribles Sing Along Blog. That was so sad.
Anyone who hasn't seen it, must. It has Nathan Fillion, Neil Patrick Harris, Felicia Day and is directed by Joss Whedon.

Awesome :)

I'll shamefully admit that the second season of K-ON! (titled K-ON!!) made me cry at episodes 20 and 24.

Clannad, Oh bloody *bleep*ing Clannad, It's an anime.
Yeah, everyone said it was sad as hell, but i never ever cried at an anime, and ive seen some pretty depressing ones.
Clannad just blindsided me.

I don'y cry at any media form - not in a 'macho' way, I just... don't. But plenty of things came close:

End of Pokémon: Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time, episode 10 of the most recent series of How I Met Your Mother, the end of Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog, the end of Half-Life 2: Episode 2 (seriously, that came out of NOWHERE), watching the Morrowind trailer, reading the description of Vvardenfell being destroyed in the Infernal City, the ending to Deus Ex: Human Revolution, that one death scene in Deus Ex: Human Revolution (if you've played it, you'll know what I mean), the drowning scene in Cave Story, the end of Don't Look Back... damn there are a lot of these. Mostly games, though. I need to do other stuff more...

I have it on the highest graphical settings and so on and so forth, but it's just the sound I'm having rouble with.

Apparently, this is a very common problem with Windows 7 64bit machines (like mine), but every fix I've tried hasn't done anything...
I think I had this problem too - have you done the 'enable stereo mix' thing yet?
I tried that, yeah; didn't do a thing. =/

The ending of Portal 2 caught me off guard in a big way, so I teared up. If I wasn't trying to put on a brave face in front of my boyfriend I probably would have shed joyful tears at the last second of the cutscene.
This, but I was alone with my tears and my orgasmic sense of achievment. Possibly the single greatest elevator ride i've ever had.

Also these. Infact I have a feeling that if I go through this whole thread I will eventually be ninja'd on everything. Damn escapist community being likemindly susceptable to tear-jerkers.

I did! Emi's path was pretty sad. But I think the thing made me tear up was the ending of Shadow of the Colossus. So far it's the only game to make me really feel something, so that's how it became my fav!

No one has mentioned Leafie yet?

Good, this will be a nice time to experiment on how fast people can start tearing up while watching this movie.

The ending to Toy Story 3. I may have to sacrifice one of my man cards, but its worth it to make my point. I remember the first Toy Story as being one of my earliest movies and it always had a special place in my heart. It was weird seeing the third one because I was around Andy's age and had just started college, so the ending hit close to home. In a way, I hope there won't be any more Toy Story movies (aside from maybe one or two more shorts). Sometimes "happily ever after" is all there is left to say.

There are also a couple of moments from games that have brought tears to my eyes. The first was the final battle of Mother 3. Without going into spoiler territory, the end was both tragic and hopeful at the same time. Its a shame Nintendo didn't release this game in the US.

Another moment was during the final battle of Okami, when Issun spreads his pictures of your true form across Nippon. What really sells this scene is the music. You can find it on Youtube, I believe its called "Reset" from the Okami soundtrack. The actual final battle also has an excellent song called "Rising Sun/The Sun Rises."
