So I kind of neglected the thread due to midterms, but hopefully I'll have more time to listen to some of the music here.

That video was blocked for my country, but I checked out the live version on Youtube. Interesting style, but probably something I'd have been more interested in a few years back. Still, I'll put that band on my list to check out in more detail when I have the time.

I was going to post some Porcupine Tree, but someone beat me to the punch(though I reserve the right to post some of their other stuff later). So how about some Pain of Salvation?

I liked that a lot better then I expected, the band name and preview shot put me in mind of (heavier) metal. But this I like :)

I'll repost my last one:

That was actually pretty good. Sounded like it would go good to a soundtrack to a kick ass action movie.

But enough of that, let's get some Based God up in this *****.

I like this a lot. Even though I had to search for a copy of it that would work in my region, it was definitely worth the work. Thanks for this, I'll have to look for more of her work in the future.
You're welcome :). She recently released her second album "You" (a few months ago). This track is from her first one called "Melankton". Most of her other stuff is slightly less "out there", still trip-hop though.

That was quite good. The music fit her voice pretty well. I'll add this one to my list.

So, this one is a bit different. The band, Opeth, is a metal band that frequently makes use of death metal on their albums(almost exclusively in the beginning). I've heard people say(and it was true for me) that Opeth was something of a "gateway drug" into death metal. Their latest album, Heritage, departs from that completely. It's still a fairly dark album, as the somewhat odd video for this song will demonstrate.

My Pick for Today:
There are times when I just need a wall of sound to slam me in the ear drums (like that opening chord does).
Very nice, I haven't listened to a lot of MCR before, but maybe I should remedy that.

And here's a new one from me:

Et Maintenant, je presente le musique du Desden Dolls:

Oof. I know they have a few good tracks, but that one was...antagonistic. Interesting things going on, but not something I'd listen to for fun...

...or maybe it's just because I was just coming off from to some more rather chill beats. Like this--

Apparently these guys have been producing beats for years. Just discovered them. Very sad I never heard of them sooner...

Nice, especially as a background "noise" to just relax to.

Here's mine for today:

For a long time my favourite band with one of my favourite songs, Enjoy :)

I just finished this song and forgot that I was even listening to music. Very relaxing stuff.

Okay, so this song is a bit unique in that it comes from an album that doesn't come out until next month. As you'll soon find, it's also unique in a few other ways. This song comes off more as a soundtrack to me than anything else, so it's a good thing it comes with a music video. A very fucked up music video that is probably going to give me some interesting dreams tonight.

Bringing this thread back from the recently deceased to post this song:

Known the band for ages but today is the first time I've heard this song and I really like it.

And then I'll just say Pretty Lights. Love his stuff.
Funny how I don't like most of the songs featured in that song yet I like the song itself.
