The Humpty Dance, I usually don't like rap, but the Humpty Dance is just so incredibly awesome that it's hard not to listen to it on a constant basis.

I hate Christian Rock, but like Shycte said I like Skillet.

I also like that song "As Good As I Once Was" by Toby Keith, even though I hate country.

If you dislike the genre how can you like one of their songs?

Unless you dislike the image that goes with the Genre.
A genre is a style of Music.
Wow, really? You don't get it? The question is really simple and straightforward. In a genre you don't normally enjoy, and sometimes despise, what is one song you find yourself surprised to actually enjoy.

Take mine for example. I usually hate pop-music, but I actually really like JoJo's singing voice, and for pop music some of her songs have a good R&B feel to them. Not the best music, but I still find it enjoyable, which surprises me because I usually hate the genre of music her music would be lumped into.
Hip hop is a genre that is based heavily on beat formations with basse influences and quick melodies that are generally preformed by a vocalist.
I like hip hop as a genre, but I dislike most of the contributing artsists songs because of the message they are preaching.

What I'm trying to get at is if you like a song that holds thees MUSICAL charachteristic, then
you like the genre- you just don't like the majority of what people preech

I love all the great songs- regardless of genre.

I don't like rap/hip-hop, but I do like some Eemmenim (Have no clue how to spell that) songs, as well as:
Baby Got Back (really, who doesn't like this one?)
Can't Touch This
Ante Up
Bill Cosby Gansta Rap

And not a genre, but I don't like Billy Corgan, but I do like his songs Today and Cherub Rock.

I love this song, the lyrics are great fun :D
Needless to say, I'm not rap's biggest fan, but I occasionally find a rap song I love, and this is one of them:

Give it a chance, you may like it, but pay attention to the words...

Um... no. I can see you have some knowledge of music (or think you do... not sure, I'm not to musically inclined) but I know plenty of musicians that love those three elements and hate that genre. It's not that simple.

So again, you miss the point and, not only that, you're taking this way to seriously.

I'd say that it's because it has something to do with Austin Powers which automatically makes it awesome.

I absolutely hate country music except for Johnny Cash's The Man Comes Around. Most of his songs are really good but that is my favorite.

When I listen to that, I can only hear the synth in the background. It sounds like it's vomiting.

I've never thought of Cash as Country. That Man is his own genre.

I'm a classic rocker. Zeppelin, Queen, the Beatles, the Who Floyd and such ... hang on, I'll need my flame proof suit for this one.
Okay, so I really like Lovebug and Tonight by the Jones Brothers.

I'm not a fan of country music, but when I hear Friends In Low Places by Garth Brooks, I can't help but sing along.

I can't stand rap/hip-hop overall, but Coolio's "Gangster's Paradise" is a damn good song.
