The vast majority of PS3 exclusives do not appeal to me, LBP for example is just a HD version of Mario but you can create your own levels... oh and lets not forget more ffrom the foreground to the background, big whoop.

Demon's souls, like yahtzee said "when a games main feature is it's very hard, it isn't a great selling point, I mean bread goes hard if you leave it out too long but it's hardly and improvement".

Resistance is ok but it's like a less popular halo

I like motorstorm (which is often forgotten as an exclusive for the PS3) but it get's insanely hard near the end.

Heavy rain is the epitome of what gamers hate but they actually love it. "lets make a game made of nothing but QTE's, they will love a game that features one of things they hate!" And you did love it, didn't you!? I also like the people who say "god of war did it right" what is the difference between god of war, heavy rain and resident evil? They are all making you press a button at the right time or you lose!

Speaking of god of war, it sucks. Press [], [], ^ to win. There is no combo (with any weapon) more powerful than square, square, triangle. Ok, maybe in later levels you add a few more squares in the middle but that's it. As with every game of this genre (DMC, bayonetta etc) long range weapons do FUCK ALL and melee weapons are all powerful!

I do LOVE MGS4 though, as much a gang of obese kids at diet camp love cake!

I bought my Ps3 specifically FOR the exclusives, but I can't speak for everyone.
Yeah, it was the same for me. Actually, I sold my 360 just to get the PS3.

I have pretty much all of the exclusives. Uncharted, inFamous, Demon's Souls, White Knight Chronicles, etc etc.

I didn't get a PS3 for the exclusives that were already out.

I got it for the exclusives that have yet to come out (Persona 5, Disgaea 4, Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena... ect.)

The games he's citing have sold well. He's complaining that they haven't sold as well as Call of Duty. Nothing sells as well as Call of Duty! Yes the PS3 has some amazing exclusive games, but setting your sights on Call of Duty-type sales is ridiculous to the point of pure idiocy.

Wow, that seems a bit odd to me. I have a PS3 and my entire library for it is literally comprised of only exclusives.

I bought mine for the blu ray and exclusives. I preferred gaming on my xbox, and really just wanted a blu ray player. the fact that it plays games is a bonus.

I own a Xbox, but i'm not surprised by this, A - comparing them to COD is rather stupid, and B - Well even if they were mulitplatform would they have sold that well? Most of them are solid and different, but none of them are really must buys in my mind atleast. If they did come to Xbox, I would be tempted by Demon Souls (although Dark Souls solves that problem) and thats about it (maybe the Motorcross one cheap)

Killzone 3 I simply haven't had the chance to get around to despite really liking Killzone 2.
Fix that now. Killzone 3 is miles better than Killzone 2. It has some of the most intense firefights I've ever experienced in a game. Especially in the Helghan Jungle.

I got a PS3 about 1 and a half year ago, but it was not so much the games that was the deciding factor. In fact, I prefer the 360's library. The reason I bought it was because I don't want my console to break after two years (like my little brother's Xbox360 has done 3 times now)

One big thing is....consider when the games came out. I think one reason MGS4 (2008) and Uncharted (2007) /2 (2009) sold so well because when they came out it was easier to afford. It wasn't long ago, and yes, it was still in the recession... but I remember going out and buying MGS4 on its release date and not worrying about money. Now I skip a lot of games simply because I can't afford them anymore.

Oh, and also, I think it's also the PS3 fanboy's way of getting back at Xbox fanboys' torment towards them back in 2006-c.2009 for lack of exclusives.

I recently bought my first gaming PC, so from now on, i'll only use my Xbox and PS3 for console exclusives... or depending on what platform I prefer the game on, Assassins Creed for example. I enjoy playing that game the most on my Xbox. I can't give a reason why, I just do

Half my ps3 list is exclusives. Though I don't plan on buying the newer ones (i.e Killzone 3, Infamous 2, Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, etc.) I have all their predecessors just not all that interested in getting the new ones.

So yeah, I'm among those people that don't have those games. But I've done my part for the older games. Shit, I'll definitely be down for a Killzone 1 HD.

This is also a factor. Myself, last month I spent a little over a thousand bucks getting a new PC and upgrades for it. So money is a factor, many of us that bought those games are probably around my age (23) are just moving out of their parents place and need to be cautious with their spending.

Since Sony has been going on an HD remake binge, that is the number one game I want to see remade. Fix up the frame rate, even the AI out a bit and tighten up the mechanics and it would be a hell of a good game. As it is, it is pretty fun, but not near the level of its successors.

I do plan on getting to it. Money is just a bit tight at the moment. I may just ask my wife or someone to leave it under the Christmas tree for me this year.

I own both a 360 and a PS3.

The only reason I own them, is to play the exclusives, because I play everything else on the PC when it's available, and most of the time it is. Some games I have to choose between 360/PS3, like the Rockstar games (Red Dead Redemption), and it's usually 50/50 which console I pick, but I enjoy the 360's achievement system over the PS3 trophy system.

I own most of the decent PS3 exclusives, Uncharted series for example.

This is just my opinion, but I've noticed a trend that PS3 gamers typically lean more towards PC gaming than 360 gamers do. Majority of 360 fans seem to be pretty locked into their Xbox, without leaning anywhere else.

I have Demon's Souls, all three God of War games, Gran Turismo 5, Heavy Rain, inFamous, Killzone 2 & 3, MGS4, all three Motorstorm games and both Uncharted games.

I will be getting the God of War Origins Collection, inFamous 2 and Uncharted 3.

So yeah, I buy the exclusives.

I buy quite a few PS3 exclusives... but the key is I like most gamers buy the good games, not simply to support a platform. On the retail side I happily spend on things like God of War or Little Big Planet or Gran Turismo. I have some more niche exclusives like Demons Soul (why of why would you encourage non hardcore rpg types to even look at it just because of its platform?) Katamari Damacy and a host of others. I have some great PSN games like Joe Danger.

But it still has to be something that strikes my interest. I'm sorry but Ressistance 3 or InFamous are not the same as Call of Duty. I really don't do space nazi's. The list goes on.
