Oh dear lord. Listen, All games companies rip each other off. In response to the PS2 and the burgeoning 'cool' and dark market of games as advocated by the Playstation 1 & 2 Nintendo introduced the Gamecube. Microsoft have stolen several of Sony's ideas including Singstar and Buzz. And Sony ripped off the achievement system from Microsoft, as well as introducing a hard drive to their console because microsoft had done it previously with the Xbox.
It's a competitive industry and succesful ideas are going to be imitated. It's a GOOD thing since it means that most of the consoles have the capabilities of the others, which means that you don't need to buy all the consoles to get everything you want from games. Now please don't be such a damn troll.

TBH I don't know that any company in any medium has any origional ideas left... Almost every movie is ripped off from something else, books are if anything worse for this, tv is has basically copy/pasted ideas into shows for about a decade now and with games...

So if you understand your anti-Sony post you hate that Sony doesn't come up with it's own idea's? You know what, you are right! They are copycats, they copy what sells. They copied nintendo's rumble pack, they tried to stuff in Motion Sensors at the last second, they are not original at all.
That said.. who cares? The Force feedback was better designed, they could have left out the motion sensors, but maybe it boosted sales (which I doubt). If you hate copycats don't buy a playstation. I used to think like that for a longtime, until I actually got a PS3 and really loved it more than any other console I ever owned .. well except for my NES maybe.
As if Microsoft is ever original... no wait, that's not important. We can discuss microsoft's talent in software design: Windows!! They ruined the entire PC experience for raping the entire market with there instable unacceptable piece of software. Halve the headaches you had in your live are a result of something THAT company produced. You'd buy a XBox to make them survive even longer? The game library is no excuse, if they die out, the games will be ported over. They even make you pay for an online-service that is still not as good as battle.net was 10 years ago. (I mean that literally) The programmers and designers could leave M$ and work for sony, making the playstation the project you want..
but better yet, they should work with nintendo. Nintendo coming up with brilliant new idea's, Sony to copy those thoughts and put them in decent games.. All work together, make this world a happy place ..
