May I suggest HP? They've been making great touch screen products for years...BudZer said:Dudeee, subliminal messaging, mannnn. On topic, the only thing the iPad makes me want to do is sell any Apple stock that I might have and invest it somewhere else.mikecoulter said:Wishful thinking perhaps?
EDIT: However I just realised I reach to my PSP for that very reason...
Touché.
This! Man...I've been saying this for a while now. I don't see the advantage to only owning one. Between the two I've gotten WAY more than my collective money's worth.lordlee said:As far as DS vs PSP goes... there's really no reason aside of poverty not to have both by now.
I hate you for not mentioning the fact that Pokemon Gold/Silver remakes coming out on March 14.Veishan said:No, they buy a PSP when they want a deeper and richer console experience on the go. They buy a DS when they want to play Nintendogs and Mario.Sony still trails behind Nintendo by tens of millions of units however, suggesting that when people want a 'deeper, richer, console', they actually buy a DS.
Yeah being able to play my entire playstation collection anywhere I want is such a drag.Monshroud said:People are buying PSP's? When did that happen? Almost everyone I know has a DS. I guess Sony has fanboy's who will buy any product with their name on it...
When a human isn't sure that what they are doing is actually worth the time they've lost to it they become more extreme about their defense of it.WhiteTigerShiro said:Eh, it's fanboyism. Near as I can tell it's basic human nature, as I see the same thing just about anywhere I go. Be it sports teams (sports fanatics and gamers have more in common than either side would care to admit, actually), restaurants, name brands, books... you name it. If there's two different sides to take, there's some group out there debating over which side is better than the other.Snotnarok said:Believe me I've seen the console wars, I just don't understand the fans who have to have the best one, when there's really not. I mean unless it was like Genesis vs Nintendo...vs Jaguar, clearly we know how THAT went. That's called a win for S/N and Jag was clearly not a winning console, except Doom, yum.
Why would the main reason for someone purchasing a PSP is to replay games that they played more than 9 years ago more conveniently when there's a multitude of exclusive new titles they could enjoy? Is that the rationale used by the same people who will play the pokemon remakes Game Freak intends to keep on releasing?theultimateend said:This! Man...I've been saying this for a while now. I'm gonna play the shit out of my DS when they come out.
It is going to look up at me and beg me to turn it off, I will look down at it and say "No."

Plus the dozen or so amazing games that did come out for it that didn't require custom firmware are worth the price of admission.
Which I said.mickey711 said:I get the feeling that the iPad is being marketed as a UMPC that excels at multimedia playback, browsing websites and reading eBooks rather than a gaming device. Games aren't even mentioned in the iPad Features section.

And which I implied was a stupid thing to do. You completely missed the point of my post.theultimateend said:Which I said.mickey711 said:I get the feeling that the iPad is being marketed as a UMPC that excels at multimedia playback, browsing websites and reading eBooks rather than a gaming device.
