Sorry, should I be sad right now?

The only time i can think of(im a emotional guy) was in FF7: Could be a SPOILER, you never know Aries Dies, granted i never got that far but, after watching play through's people have done, i dont think that would change if i did play the game all the way through.

Any scene in which an NPC "heroically" sacrifices themselves in order to avert a minor nuisance. Should I even bother to list examples, or can I just point to military shooters and RPGs in general?
I doubt it was supposed to be sad, but the beginning of KOTOR comes to mind.
"Get to the escape pod! I'll cover you!" *enters room to fight sith and it instantly blows up*
Me: uh, wow, thanks man. Rest in peace and all that.

In Gears of War 2 in the scene mentioned multiple times before. I was playing as Marcus and it didnt really effect me, but my friend had been playing as Dom up to that point and he said that he found it real sad

Final Fantasy VII.
Maybe it's because I played Lost Odyssey (a beautifully emotional game) before ever touching FFVII, but Aeris' death scene was just awkward to me (forgive me if this still counts as a spoiler).

BioShock 1 ending, I can tell it's meant to be sad in a happy way (good ending), but I just can't really be that attached, only saved the brats so I'd get the gifts. Perhaps a smiting for abusing her generosity?

Crysis spoiler ahead if you care.

Major Strickland's death in Crysis. Way too awesome send-off for a character that had hardly been seen, let alone developed in any way. Ol' Nomad seemed distraught but I was just straining to remember who this guy was and why I should care.

I would say Aerith's death in FF7. Mostly because I knew she would die, having played the game years after its release.

On a side note, I love games that allow you to rename the characters. Knowing she would be killed, I named her "Corpse". Quite fitting, I thought.

When you had to make the choice between Williams and Alenko, I mean, I know it's just a video game but I never really "clicked" with Ashley and she just came across as an annoying ***** throughout most of the game and I was glad to be rid of her.

Devil May Cry.

When Trish or whatever her name was died.

In fact I don't think I've ever cared about a Capcom character.
Well I don't blame you.

In Dead Space when we found out Nicole was dead. It could have been sad, but they way they handled it was nothing short of pathetic. I liked everything else though...especially Peng.

Roman is dead! No more fucking phone calls! Party time!
But no ass either...

In Chaos Legion when:

shoots herself in the head. I actually laughed, but it gave me a reason to slice Delacroix's ass, I mean, I liked him until he shot someone who was on my team. Otherwise, he was soooooooooooooo cool.
