First of all, it's going to be a random survivor each time I think. Also the one who dies did so to save the other 3 and is something you'll get to do when they release the tie in DLC for the original L4D which shows how the Original survivors get to this area.

There is such a thing as spoiler tags, you know. Seriously, if you're posting spoilers then don't just type 'SPOILERS!!!11' into the title. Use tags as well, or even better, only use tags themselves. Forum rules and regulations, mate...

On that note, I wish no character died, but still, at least it wasn't Zoey or Francis. They're my favourites, to be honest. And Bill is getting on a bit, makes sense he'd be the first to die from the original Survivors, not being quite as fit and athletic as he would have been in his 'Nam days...

Fair enough, being new and all, took me months before I ever needed to use anything like BB code, and I had no idea what to do... . As for this, you can edit them into the OP now if you want. Just type:

Just take away the question mark from the first box. Also, looking at the Kotaku article about this, seems it isn't definitely Bill after all. People have seen posters on the Valve site that change when you refresh the page, each one showing a different original Survivor missing. And in the L4D campaign you get to choose which one dies and who lives. So, my guess is that the L4D2 campaign will take that into account and have the survivor you last picked to die absent from The Passing. If so then I suppose that would change after each time you play the original campaign. Would take a lot of extra programming and work on Valve's part, but it's possible. Been discussed a lot in the Steam forums too, apparently...

Hmm, I may have to disagree with you, I think its going to be Bill, just pre-set already. Its something about valve not being able to get his voice actor, im not sure, but hey, we'l wait and see.

Also Valve pulled the old, 'Maude Flanders' routine, voice actor couldn't return(I heard rumors he's either dead or in jail) so they killed the character, unfortunately for the Simpsons, the VA returned and Maude had to stay dead, hoepfully bills VA stays unavailable or that would suck hard.(You know why Bill had no new lines of dialogue in the passing?No Va)

I so called that. The grizzled veteran always dies in cliche survival movies and being the game is based off these cliches you really cant be all that shocked.

That was Valve teasing the fans, the final in game loading screen has all 4 L4D char's in the background (I guess so people don't figure it out until later in the level)

I will do no such thing! All the apartments and buildings we've run through in L4D1 and not once did she ever stop in the kitchen and make me a grilled cheese!
