I hope you guys know that the reason Bill died in game is because his actor also died.

Jim French is alive and well. He got some sort of job as a radio host or something, so he wasn't as available as the other actors, which is why Valve chose to kill his character. They were going to kill one anyway, but this made their decision of who to kill.

I wish I could find the interview where some Valve employee said that (probably Chet Faliszek). Maybe it was on the Left 4 Dead blog...
