Time to find cash for a PSP
Seriously though, went to youtube like so many of you probably did to see what the fuss was about, and I've got to say, between that, a few other cutscenes, and some gameplay, I'm actually impressed with what the game as a whole. The scene itself looks like something out of FFXIII (despite what you feel about the game itself, the visuals on that are amazing), while the rest of the game looks high end PS2 graphics. Very impressive for a handheld.
Anyways, I've got to say that I'm still sort of opposed to the idea of the scene itself, as it just reminds me of a mindset that a female main character in a game seems almost obligated to provide fanservice, and this is especially jarring with Aya, who is made out as a character that just happens to be a woman rather than flaunting that fact constantly. Yes, 2 had a shower scene too, but I really didn't like that one either (not to mention that 2 also had the old "tank controls" horror games have thankfully grown out of, so should we really use it as an example of what to do?).
Look, I'm not opposed to fanservice by any means, but it's not something that every character should do. However, I will say that the decision to make this an unlockable scene rather than a normal one makes this work, as it makes it feel more like an extra bit rather than being part of the character.
